Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

I wanted to see if there was anyone interested in (another) school of magic-esque RP. Of course, in an effort to make this an individual and special RP, I've tried fleshing it out a bit.

Premise:
In a Continent called Feledia, on a country known as Lismos, despite looking much like our Middle-Ages, the country of Lisomos is plenty more prosperous than our own counterpart at that time. This is due to the discovery and constant research of Magic. While the study of science has not been stunted (thus leading to several discoveries such as gunpowder and steel) Magic has had a 5000 year head start, meaning that in the society of Lismos and other neighboring countries, Magic is more useful and thus more important than science.

In response to the need of society for magic, plenty of countries have established many Academy's in an effort to increase the population of competent Magic-users, known at large as 'Magestrava' or 'Magestravii' in plural. The quality and curriculum of each Academy vary, but the particular focus this time is Aledine Public Academy.

It is well known in Lismos as being a both a school of ill-repute, and one of the only Academies that teaches regular people alongside the Magestrava. They do not study magic of course, but instead focus their time on general studies such as politics and economics.

.
The RP is centralized around the life of these students and (possibly) teachers as they go about their day-to-day, not so normal, lives.

Important details specific to the RP:
[indent]
  • Detailed magic system (but I won't be too strict on this)

  • Various and specific styles and branches of magic.

  • Teamwork, social-standing, and interaction is important.

  • A detailed back-story is essential. The reasons for your character learning magic is essential at some points.

  • Lots of random NPC's will pop-up to mess with your character (generally controlled by me, though you can do the same if necessary for character development)

  • Well, this is the general idea. I might make some changes according to public opinion (assuming this even gets popular enough to start xD) So what do you guys think? Too much or too little?

Kyle tossed the ball into the air and hit it. It flew over the net right towards David.

David intercepted the ball gingerly, putting as little force as he could behind his swing, It still flew entirely too high over the net.
    KatherinWinter said
"I'll serve. All you have to do us send it back." Kyle told him as he took his position

"Got yeah," said a (still) nervous David. He was wondering if he could hold back well enough not to turn Kyle into paste . . . .
    KatherinWinter said
Kyle laught softly. "Don't worry about it. You can't be anymore dangerous then my sister. Just hit the ball. Try not to hit the net and stay within the lines."

David gave a nervous laugh of his own. "Well, if you're sure about that, let's start," he said. "So, should I serve first or do you want to do it?",
"Wait, so this is a one-on-one?" said David. "Oooh boy . . . Well, Kyle, you'll have to guide me through this . . . and try not to get injured in the process. Sorry in advance if I do anything. It was an accident , I swear.. "

Keegan looks at the Housekeeper, befuddled by her methods. "What the- what? Why? Bah, screw it..." He shrugs, putting both the weapons back in their respective positions. Melissa did the same, though if anyone were to look closely, they could see her attempting a smuggle a small wrist blade out of the weapons room, attaching it to her own wrist and clamping it on before pulling her jumper over it to make it practically invisible.

Rina, who was heading back upstairs, accidentally brushed her fingers against Melissa, and saw in her mind what she was attempting to do. Turning towards her she said, "W-what? What are you doing?" she whispered in a panicked voice.
    KatherinWinter said
"I'm not too bad."Kyle told him. "Ive played it a couple of times."

"That's okay then," said David. "I'll have you watch my back for now. In case I mess up, which I'll probably do. Spectacularly I might add."
Rina sighed and nodded. Might as well get this over with.

Rina picked up a longbow. She figured that if she learned how to use this, she wouldn't have to fight them if she could keep them away.
    KatherinWinter said
"Here." Kyle raised his hand and headed over to his roommate. He was relieved that his partner was someone that he know.

David grinned. "Well, you any good at Tennis? Sorry to say, but I'm pretty bad at sports."
David nodded. "Well, see you later Ray."

With that he turned around and called out, "Oi! Kyle, were're you?"
