Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

"HELLO!" Ivy shouted as she entered the room. "RIBBONS!" She grabbed a roll of ribbon in each hand and began running around the room with them streaming behind them.

David laughed at Ivy's energetic parade through the room, before frowning in concentration at his current project . . .

"Box . . . Kite . . . so hard . . . make . . ." he murmured stubbornly to himself. There was a tearing sound. "Argh!"

I mean in raw-magic. How big would the perceived difference in there magic be.

Really big. Compare a bucket to a swimming pool. However, Fae have terrible control and precision over their own magic :)

EDIT: Post 300 is mine >:)

I know how you feel. Had two assemblies this morning, I stood by the exit each time and booked it out of there before the swarm of students broke loose. But will there be classes on the first day, so that the teachers may hand out the criteria?

Nope. Again, the first day is to familiarize and settle down. Anyway, gtg. breaks over :)

Veili had taken to closing his eyes while waiting for the mess to be sorted out, blotting out most of the sounds that filled the air. His eyes opened slowly, a sign of disrespect some would say, at the sound of his name and shifted towards the old man. While he never called the Headmaster that aloud, that was the title Veili had decided on for the weathered, yet capable elder. He pushed off the wall to stand at his own two feet, and as he did so, an annoying sound reached his ears. “Ah, Headmaster!” The guard had noticed Render’s appearance and was now rushing forward, trying to get his side of the story in first. He didn't need to; Veili was more than happy to let the other man explain. “This student here was stopped because of the suspicious bundle he was carrying,” the guard continued on after coming to a halt in front of the two of them, gesturing at the sword Veili had embedded into the ground. “Upon discovering it was a weapon, I asked for confirmation that this Veili Sturm is indeed authorized to carry such things around school grounds, and was simply awaiting a reply.” It seemed like the guard could act with a sense of professionalism in the presence of his superiors. With a small scowl, Veili nevertheless shrugged his shoulders, agreeing that what had been said was pretty much the truth. he mentioned as he strolled over and tore the blade from its place in the earth. He was still angry at the guard for the hassle that had been called, but with the Headmaster around Veili was willing to keep his emotions in check. The old man had never once been, even slightly, perturbed by the sight of Veili angry and he had quickly learned that to deal with the man was best done calmly, or at least with the appearance of.

The Headmaster nodded in confirmation. "I'll have to apologize on the guards behalf," said the Headmaster, looking straight at Veili. "He's and unfamiliar with some of the privileges certain students have. In any case, this won't happen again, correct?"

At the questioning look the Headmaster gave him, the guard snapped to attention and nodded firmly. Render, satisfied, returned to Veili. "As for you, Veili, I'm sure you were informed that trafficking your wares through the front gate on a school day was discouraged, or did you not get that note?" said the Headmaster, raising a gray brow. He did not discourage what Veili did for a living, but there were certain standards to follow, and some of the younger students would definitely be intimidated by the things he carried around, which wasn't a very good way to start the year.
Rechecked your character Ex, accepted :)

Anyway, about the opening ceremony, it will take place the next day. The first day is meant for newcomers and returnees to settle in comfortably. Remember, this is a boarding school as well, so no-one's going to enjoy an assembly on the first day (I know I didn't) xD

For comparison, how strong is a full-fledged Fae compared to the headmaster? My character wouldn't have exact numbers, but he would have a feeling of which one is strong and how large the gap is, unless one is purposely trying to hide their full power.

It depends on what you understand as 'strong' - Fae can do crap like sprout a whole forest or level mountains at their peak, but if we're talking one v one, the headmaster is only slightly disadvantaged; that match could go either way,

WHEW! Caught up on most of the reading.Hanged... I want to make a faculty member, but not a teacher. I would actually like to make a "guidance counselor" of sorts. His role would be to mingle with the students and help them with whatever they need. Be it just talking, if they are looking for something specific and/or have requests, if they need extra help with classes... Like a "big brother". The benefit is I would get to interact with EVERYONE quite easily. Also, if you ever need to, the character could have special tasks appointed by the headmaster. I could chaperone the students into town... ANYWHO! I think I've explained it enough. As for his abilities... My idea is to have a character with ridiculous theoretical knowledge, but little interest in the practical field. Most students would view him as mundane, but the wisest would understand that his power lies in subtle manipulations of energy. That being said, I would like his main field to be manipulation of already "active" spells. Dispelling, amplification, modification... His understanding of underlying magical principals allow him to subtlely influence the world around him, to an extent you deem reasonable. The idea is to have his powers fit with his "supportive" position at the school. When I thought about how to tie this in to the magic system in place my first idea was to call it a "passive form of Akasha-Deviancy". Although it is a ridiculously difficult branch of magic, as you have stated, it seemed more reasonable than saying "well he read and memorized every book on earth". He is by no means omniscient or omnipotent. He can simply see/sense/feel/whateveryouwanttocallit magical energies' structure and influence it. Anywhoooooooo! I'm working on the CS. I will have it posted shortly. I really hope you like the idea. If you need reassurance concerning my intended powers, please comment/ask questions. However, I think that by keeping his passive/supportive I've done enough to keep it fair.

I like the character, but I really can't accept the Akasha-Deviancy part. I get what his ability is, but a change in name is appropriate here. Akasha-Deviancy, no-matter what level by the way, is in essence reality warping, so for your character to have that is kind of difficult to understand :(

Delilah smiled and nodded, hopping up from her seat, "Sure thing hun!" And she hung her lap cart on the hook and opened the door, gesturing for Meruin to follow, "C'mon sweetheart, what's your room number?" and she flipped her sign so it said, "That doctor is out!" with a forwney face next to it.(Sorry, I tried to send this this morning but it was acting up.)

"Rm. 107," replied Meruin. "So, while were going there, tell me more about the ranking system please."
Just realized I've exceeded the word limit for one post. There will be a link on the first post so it doesn't get too messy. Accepted characters will continue on this page:

may do a brother / sister rp team it sounds fun

Wow, been a (fairly) long time since anyone's replied here . . . On your sibling team; I'll need you to have separate forms for each, however, I discourage it for now, unless you can somehow find a way to RP with both without losing focus on the other sibling?

@Veili

The Headmaster, deciding that a nice little stroll was in order after the start of a good day, caught wind of an argument a little off near the entrance. Shaking his head at the thought of people so eager to cause trouble on the first day, he began to grin all over again as he caught sight of the perpetrators of the disturbance in question.

An unimportant guard (seemed new, as the Headmaster didn't recognize him) and Veilie Sturm, a promising if not hot-tempered weaponsmith and one of the many students that Render decided to keep his eyes on for various reasons.

Taking a single step, the world shifted around Render again, he was beside Veilie in a second (Gods above he loved this spell) "So, what seems to be the problem here?" he asked, smiling but with a brow raised.
