Meruin woke up later than usual. Not surprising considering what happened yesterday. She took her bath, ate breakfast, and inspected all her tools, equipment, gems and other accessories. At the farthest side of her room was a large book - it was even bigger than she was in width and height. She flipped through it's blank pages and sighed. No progress on her grimoire today it seemed.

She left her room and headed straight for the courtyard, planning to inspect the previous days battleground to gather information. Hmm, it's rather chilly today . . .

Meruin grabbed Sol's jacket with her little hands and squashed her face on it by using it as a pillow. She squirmed a bit as Sol picked her up but otherwise did not wake up; as far as her body was concerned, she wasn't going to be getting up any time soon.

The destruction left in the wake of Meruin's spell began to mend itself - well, the earth repaired itself anyway. Furniture and plants were not part of Meruin's spell, so those would stay destroyed, but the earth that was the basis of her magic would take back what was rightfully hers now that Meruin no longer needed it's help.

David walked towards Lilliana. "Hey there newcomer! I'm David Robin, but call me whatever fits you," he said while grinning. "Anyway, I don't think I've had the pleasure of having your name yet."

Meruin snored of peacefully. The amount of magic she used up wasn't much, but keeping up with the stress of it was a bit hard on her. She rolled on the ground and unconsciously began scratching around for a pillow to hug.

Ivy through her arms around Kido. "We saw EVERYTHING. David told me he normal doesn't see a lot of animals. He says that animals don't like him. But they like me so we had it easy. I know where all the animals like to go. I think this was a great skill. Even though I didn't learn anything new."

"I didn't know you were so good with animals! I'd like to see how you manage that sometime!" It certainly was surprising to him that she had such a skill. Somehow, she reminded him even more of a kind of fairy, probably because she was so energetic and apparently seemed to really like nature. "I thought it was a fun skill-building activity as well. Maybe we'll try working with plants tomorrow or something."

"I still don't get how I never saw any of those animals crawling around," grumbled David. "It's like I'm a walking neon sign to them that says 'look, over here! Avoid me!'"

The tall boy shook his head and grinned. "Still, it was pretty interesting though. I didn't expect Ivy to be good with animals. She's like a forest ranger or something. You know, those guys that stop illegal loggers or watch out for forest fires and stuff."

Oh dang, sorry I didn't see this. We should do a 2/3 day timeskip. We'll be near at the edge of Brooklyn by then. I was thinking of stopping at Evergreen Cemetery.
