David raised a brow. "You realize we're in a camp full of teens that have supernatural powers right? Trust me, you get used to believing in anything after a few days." He tilted his head. "So, what's the problem?"

Meruin raised a brow. That was new. After a little bit of thinking, she felt like she should be trying a different direction. She closed her eyes and dropped to the gym below, all the while her body dissolved into fading particles of white.

She disagreed with Tyler. Keep going? No, it was time to end this.

"Equipment, yep. I need that." Cordie said with a sheepish grin. Something-no-someone pushed her and she landed hard on her hands. "Ow, ow, ow, that's going to leave a mark." She said as she looked at her bloodied hands.

"Hey! Are you okay?" asked a concerned David. "What happened? It looked like you tripped or something . . ."

"I'd feel bad for the ground if I did," he said with a chuckle. "Shall I wait for you to get your equipment on my horse?"

"Not so much happy . . ." said Meruin, before swiping Golden Rule through another book. Tyler's attack simply flew past her, and now his back was exposed.

" . . . just enlightened." She swiped another book, and this time dark wings that looked like they were made of pure energy burst to life behind her. Meruin was busy thinking over something, and she didn't even turn towards Tyler when her wings began shooting black orbs at him. The black orbs began sucking in everything into them with extreme force, and they spread out in many directions.

"Haha, naw, it's jousting," he said, "all you have to do is hit me while making sure you don't get hit. It's why jousts with shields."

"Haha! As thou wishes milady," said David theatrically while tilting his head slightly to the side, and spreading his arms. The large young man gave her a friendly wink and grinned. She seemed like a fun girl to hang around!

David gave a stage hum while rubbing his chin. "Hm, you can either ask me to not take it seriously, OR you can gain the ability to withstand a nuclear missile," he said, giving a toothy smile. "Or we could just have fun?"

Meruin was shocked! She should have disguised her magic more carefully. Still, what was done was done, and now Tyler was after her and -

Goodness that's a lot of electricity thought Meruin. Strangely enough though, she didn't feel at all panicky. In fact she was beginning to feel quite . . . exhilarated. It was an entirely new feeling to her, especially in the middle of a fight, but she had to admit, she didn't dislike it. Meruin wanted to feel more of this. Even more, she had a revelation that she could have won so easilyhad she simply did a few things different, but even as she berated herself, she could feel her mouth pull upwards in a feral smirk - another completely new expression for the normally stoic girl.

As the lightning arced towards her, she closed her eyes to allow herself a brief moment of concentration. All of a sudden, something sparked within her, a sudden, brilliant light of insight and suddenly . . .

"Saint Pillar," she declared, swiping a card through another book. The ground below them rumbled, then in a second, seven steel pillars the size of oak tree's floated around Meruin. She waved her hand towards Tyler, and they shot towards him like missile's. As they passed the lightning/water attacks, the magic around them faded and broke.

"I have to warn you," She said tilting her head. "I'm about as weak as I look." She said and chuckled as she walked towards...his name alluded her. "I'm sorry I never caught your name." She said as she stuck her hand out to him.

"Davids me'name," he said grinning. "And I should warn you, fair lady, that I am stronger than I look," he added playfully. He shook her hand and asked: "And your name would be?"
