I'm done with Guam. I want to get back home, buy an 80s Japanese sports car, and get to tuning.

Alright, so we've got two takers as of right now? Anyone else gonna hop on?
Heard this song a few times, and was always pleasantly surprised when I heard the chorus. The way the guitar is employed, and even the lyrics, in part, almost make me want to call it pop-punk, but it definitely doesn't feel like the intent is there for it to be punk, and that A. I'm biased, and B. any punk elements that can be discerned are only evident from a creative choice that is purely stylistic in nature. Either way, I did enjoy being reminded that this song exists. 7.3/10.

Not a youtube link. Unfortunately, YouTube pretty much has this song on lockdown, so have a vimeo link instead. vimeo.com/148415421
Oh, umm... yeah, kinda, sorta, probably, pretty much. (Fuckers stole my fucking idea!)

Imagine if you took Homer's Odyssey and applied it to a modern setting in the Middle East. A squad gets lost, separated from their unit, or otherwise find themselves in such a situation that they now have to try to find their way back to friendly territory. They could come across any number of things in the meantime. Hostile forces, friendly natives, a herd of camels, who knows? Hell, I might even throw in a couple of vaguely supernatural elements for shits and giggles. Regardless, their objective is simple. They just have to get out of no man's land and find their way back to friendly territory.

For the sake of this RP, I want to point out that I want to try to aim more towards realism as far as characters are concerned. For the most part, your characters aren't going to be super soldiers. You're just a squad of infantrymen; most of you probably won't even have any weapons besides either an M-16 or an M-4; maybe a sidearm. We'll probably have one machinegunner, a medic, possibly a grenadier, and MAYBE a designated marksman, but understand that most infantry squads are about 70% composed of your average, joe-blow rifleman and may or may not contain any of the above mentioned assets. That being said, I'm thinking the ideal size will be 8 people for this RP.

Obviously, this is pretty early in the planning stages, and I'm just feeling the waters. This is, after all, an interest check. So who would be interested?
It's all good. These things happen, and just as well if I'm being honest. Creative juices haven't been flowing great for me lately, but for what it's worth I enjoyed it while it lasted.
Oh shit, it's been two weeks.

I was actually working on a post, but if you're sure you're pulling the plug, well, it's been fun.
I feel like this is an underappreciated idea. Sounds kinda like it's a reimagining of E.T. Fuckin' kids and aliens, I swear!

But in all seriousness, I know it's been a minute. Has the GM given up on this RP? If not, I'll throw my hat in.
Had a good hair day last week and decided to take a quick bathroom mirror shot.

This is me going into this song with shit preconceptions, because my ex listened to Melanie Martinez all the fucking time, and it got old very, very quickly. Plus I already despise pop.

That being said, I don't think I've heard this one before, and I actually kind of enjoyed the lyrics. My biggest complaint is that, again, it's set to a very pop-ish backdrop. Not my thing, but for what it is, I wasn't actively hating it the entire way through. 5/10
