I've noticed a distinct lack of RWBY roleplays around this site, and as such have decided to make one. It will be set in Beacon, but in an AU, so we have freedom to do pretty much whatever we want. Therefore, students and staff both are up in the air. The plot will largely be player-driven, though I'll throw in some events from canon.

When the Blank walked in, Nyxos gave her a polite nod. He could feel her presence like a sucking void, a black hole in the warp to rival his own supernova of light - a severe discomfort, but as a Grey Knight he was long since used to far worse, and went out of his way to be courteous to her, even if simply to deny her the satisfaction of seeing him squirm. Drawing his psychic energy in close, as he usually did when he wished to avoid psychic detection, he calmly compressed his power deep into his centre, pulling it as far as possible from the Blank and her draining influence.
It wasn't that he had anything against Blanks personally - he rather liked Anna, truth be told, with her straightforward attitude and not least the fact that her simple presence could weaken or even kill daemons - but they naturally grated on his soul, far more so than a normal person, since he was fully aware of what she was. In fact, his sensitivity to such things was markedly above even his fellow Librarians thanks to his ability with the Flow. He could always feel the currents of the Warp, and as such his Warp-senses were far more acute than the norm. It was both a blessing and a curse - he could often detect subtleties that others would miss, and feel summonings before others, but on the other hand, it made him more vulnerable to large distortions and discharges such as would be caused by an Exterminatus. The last time that had happened, he had only been a system over, and had suddenly collapsed against a wall, white-faced and sweating. He hated feeling such things resounding across the Immaterium, for all he knew that it was necessary.
What he much preferred were the Warp-signatures of those such as the Harlequin. He knew that it bordered on heresy, and would get him killed immediately by some, but he had to admit he liked him. He was the quintessential jester, something Nyxos found amusing in these dark times. And, if he was honest with himself, he'd always had a great deal of respect for the Eldar and their psychic abilities. He would give a lot to have the chance to meet a Farseer, though he knew that it was but an idle dream with almost no chance of fruition.
Sighing internally, he returned his attention to the matter at hand.

Jantur: A F-9 Limner, however, a large portion of his power is directed inwards to maintain his form and mind as they are (it is unknown what would happen if he ever lets go of this control.) The power he has outwardly available is around H-3 level. Uses a style he dubs 'Kitsunetur', involving nine different 'turs in various combinations of two or three. The nine 'turs he uses are: Firetur, Watertur, Earthtur, Airtur, Icetur, Lightningtur, Healingtur, Shadowtur and Soultur.

In human form, he stands at an imposing 6' 2", and is well-built, though not bulky, with lean muscle. His movements carry the sleek grace of an apex predator, and his features reflect the inner fox, being somewhat sharper than normal. His incisors tend to be longer than standard, especially when he grins. His hair is fairly long, down to the shoulderblades, and his dark green eyes shimmer with an inner fire.
Eventual 9-tail Battle Form - around eight feet tall in pictured stance and correspondingly wide.

Smaller, about six foot six inches, and not quite as impressive- or good-looking as this, and with only five tails.
Personality: Well-mannered, generally rather amiable, and, when with friends, sometimes even playful; however, when he gets angry, he can become truly vicious, especially if those he considers friends are threatened. His trust is hard to earn, and once broken, is lost forever, but if you do have it, he will prove a loyal and worthwhile friend. He is surprisingly tolerant towards water and ice youkai, given the diametric opposition of their elements, but will retaliate in full force to any prejudice they might apply to him due to his fiery nature. This is a general rule about him - if something happens, he'll come right back just as hard. The exception to his general courtesy is humans (see below.)
He enjoys combat a surprising amount, and will usually, once he's got to know someone, challenge them to a sparring match if he considers them strong enough to be a worthy challenge.
Quirks & Habits: Heats his drinks to boiling point before consuming them, and his food likewise. Otherwise, a fairly stable individual.

Martial Artist Kage has trained for years in several martial arts, and is adept in close combat, even using his tails as direct weapons. He tends to imbue his strikes with concentrated Kitsunebi, lending them a lot of power.
Samurai Much like his unarmed training, Kage has spent a long time practicing his swordwork, and is highly skilled with a katana.
Tracker Kage is an adept tracker, able to follow almost anything for extended periods of time over nearly any terrain, though cities are generally a lost cause when tracking all but the most powerful of youkai.
Powers:
Kitsunebi Foxfire, the quintessential ability of all Yoko. Unlike most, however, Kage's fire is black. This has little effect on its actual power, though he has developed his tails perhaps a little faster than average. He has trained extensively with this ability. Two of his favourite techniques are the fire lance, a highly compressed bolt of what would be white-hot fire if it wasn't black, and the flame lash, a long whip of twisted fire. He has also developed flight using the lifting properties of hot air and the inherent mystical properties of fire to make himself lighter.
Shapechange Kitsune have three distinct forms. Firstly, their human shape, where Kage spends the majority of his time. Second is their full fox shape, and third is their Battle Form, designed to hybridise the best aspects of the first two.

While he can boil and evaporate water in small quantities, large amounts of it are capable of extinguishing him and doing serious harm. For this reason, he is uncomfortable around water and ice youkai, but still does his best to be courteous.

Since then, he threw himself into his combat training, and gained two tails over the next two years, winning every combat tournament he entered with his age group, and even several of the ones above his expected level. Before he left for Youkai Academy, he resolved, and told his mother, that he was going to enter some human martial arts tournaments, both as a hobby and a way to legally beat up some humans.
