I have a character in mind that could work - he's developed the ability to drain other people's souls, so ends up being known as the "Soul Leech". All the power he drains goes into him, so he should be sufficiently strong to provide a challenge for a whole group of PC's even while alone.
Hadrian Blackwood

Age: 92, appears to be in his early twenties.
Height: 6' 4"

Stage Name: Phoenix
Specialty Magic: Fire Manipulation

Personality: Much like his signature element, Hadrian is a walking bonfire of emotion. He is boisterous, loud and over-the-top in every possible manner. Just make sure not to piss him off, because when he gets angry, he is quite possibly the scariest thing on God's Green Earth.

Likes: Fire, incredibly hot (both in temperature and in spices) food and drink, especially his own cocktail mix which involves copious quantities of vodka and chilies. Jokes, pranks and anecdotes are also favourites.

Dislikes: Rudeness, anyone who broods a lot, quiet people (they're no fun!), people with a fear of fire. If you really want to piss him off, abuse an animal or child. In that case, you might as well write your will there and then.

Backstory: When his powers first manifested, they did so rather... explosively. This led to him being placed in an orphanage, where the others quickly learned to respect him and never, never pick on anyone when he was around, because failing to follow those rules often resulted in serious burns. Unfortunately, he was caught playing with fire several times and branded a pyromaniac, forcing him to remain in the orphanage until he came of age. He made a living as a blacksmith for a while, using his powers to heat the metal to the perfect temperature, but abandoned this trade when he came across other Mages. He has been honing his powers ever since, and joined up with the Troupe at the drop of a hat simply because it seemed like fun - something that should tell you a lot about him. Since then, he hasn't looked back.
Bump.
Taking back his sword, Jack spins it in a blur of motion that showcases how skilled he really is with a sword, since there's nothing active to guide his hand. He grins. "Nice job. Thanks."

Almost the same instant the party request comes up, his free hand flicks out and accepts it without so much as a glance, the long years of imprisonment in SAO showing through.

"Well, I vote for the Black Forest. We might be able to get ahead of the curve and get a couple of levels under our belts before most of the others. Strength is everything in a game like this." His face turns sad. "Trust me, I know."
I think the middle option there is best.

To be frank, putting up an interest check and then disappearing for 5 days with no prior warning, and then coming back to claim you were busy doesn't exactly speak towards particularly good qualities as a GM. At the very least, you could have warned us that you had work that might pick up in difficulty and business, or popped in for... idk... 5 minutes to let us know you were busy.

Alright, fair enough.

Lucius Cypher said I don't know where the Narrator is [...] see if the Narrator is going to start something, or you know, mutiny and see if anything happens on my end. It's a revolution anyways.

I did return, but apparently you all decided not to wait for me, so just go ahead and run it yourself. I'll be leaving now.
Yes, sorry. I'll get a post up within the next couple of days. My workload is a bit over the top at the moment.
Alright, since he's gone, I'm back.
No need. I can quite clearly see that it is impossible for me to participate in a roleplay with somebody who obviously cannot take responsibility for their own mistakes and instead decides to act like a child and attempt to shift the blame entirely onto the other person by calling bullshit. I am well aware that I am perpetuating this argument by responding such, but this needs to be said.

With that done, I'm out.

lol, I haven't even looked at your CS, chill out xD I was not aware you invented eastern blades and magic in MMOs, talk about vain.

Excuse me? I was simply requesting that you alter your character so that we don't have two characters that are essentially the same. I hardly see how that's vain, simply common sense for the diversity in both skillsets and character types of the RP, and a mild irritation that you don't take the time to read other people's CS's first so that you can contribute to said. Vanity has nothing to do with it, and I find that rather offensive, actually.
