Garick wound his way through the crowd and watched as the man hammered a piece of parchment to the board in the middle of the harbor, standing on tip toe he peered over the man's shoulder taking in the paper before flashing the man a smile. And making a beeline for the Tavern in Little Rock. As he approach the tavern he took in the exterior sizing up potential escape routes and the possible hazards of the establishments. Garick grinned, he needed work and this looked like the shady establishment that could provide the sort of work he was use to, he might not have a ship but he was a fine swordsman. Among other things. With that he loosened the twin scimitars in their sheath and pushed open the door of the tavern.
Eric looked up at the scream rain dripping off the edge of his hat. High pitched female, looking back the way he had come he watched as a figured leapt from a roof rolled from the roof of a passing carriage and darted for an alleyway. He caught the glint of the Tulwar at his waist and knew it was Marcus, Eric had been walking a beat as Marcus had ordered just blending with the passersby, but the scream and Marcus making his move galvanized Sir Easton into action. He cut down a side street splashing through the rain , unlimbering his double barrel from under his heavy coat. If he could head off the opposite side of the Alley they would have the Ripper surrounded, even if it was too late for the girl. But there was always hope.

Eric skidded out of the side street and into the rain soaked throughfare that ran parrallel to the prior street and began a head long sprint up the road toward the other end of the alleyway in a desperate attempt to head off the Ripper. He brushed rain water out of his eyes with his left hand as he brought the shotgun up with his right hand.
"Please let us be in time...." He breathed doggedly as he ran

Yes, although i think i'll switch to crossbow if it fits the RP better. O_O I for one am not afraid to admit my lack of knowledge of this era, well the super detailed stuff i suppose ^^. *rolls eyes, snuggles Ursa-chan* if anyone has problems with what i type, message me : D

I've said it before (in a different thread, in a different place, different times), my favorite vampires are the original old lore ones...you know, the sucky ones that are pretty much OCD. Can't cross salt barriers like ghosts, have to count all the rice grains in a bowl, avoids religious symbols/symbols make them nervous, can't cross running water, have to be invited into a house, etc...well, that's actually a bunch of different lore stacked on top of each other.>.>My favorite vampires are...Malkavians, from Vampire: The Masquerade. The OCD vampire is my ideal interest vampire, and Malkavians are pretty much as close as it gets for me.(Also, I think either Stoker's or another book's vampires...they can travel under the sun, but they lose their powers? I can't quite remember.)

You just became a million times cool just an fyi. The world of Darkness is one of my favorite RPGs specifically vampire. Love me some Malkavians but at my heart im a total Nosferatu.
And you're on the right track Dracula is capable of day walking it just makes him weaker, I assume that's what you mean.

Wow we've ended up way off topic as far as this specific RP goes, this is what happens when I nerd out lol.
Sounds good to me, although I always love hearing more info on various myths. But in the end I do believe it's Eddies call.

You're incredibly knowledgeable that's really cool it's been a while since I've met someone as informed as you. I'd have to say that my knowledge base largely lies in variations on the theme of the Vampire including and after Stoker's Dracula. His version of the vampire has always really spoken to me as far these things go. And laugh all you want but my favorite version of a werewolf actually comes from Jim Butchers Dresden File: Fool Moon. Infact my avatar is actually that particular book's cover. And for clarities sake its the Loup Garou Butcher presents in the novel since there are actually something like six different types of "werewolves" that appear in the book.
I know my vampires Buffy, Dracula, Thirty Days of Night, Salem's lot, Blade, Van Helsing, Vampire the Masquerade and Requiem, as well as dozens of other mythological appearances of vampires or vampire like creatures (asanbosam, mandurango, ect.) hell i've even read twilight (Not that those are really vampires), Hence my characters use of a shotgun. Get close enough and 12 guage will take a head right off. However, and this purely because Eddie pointed out he's drawing on Bram stoker's Dracula, wood to the heart typically works. Which you really can't fire from a gun XD
The silver was reference to werewolves typical weakness but we could go back and forth on werewolves for days too.

But in conclusion: Yes I absolutely agree stylistically I'd have gone with the crossbow too.
Put a wooden arrow through a vampires heart. Just as good as a stake if you ask me. You don't really have that option with a gun, same goes for werewolves. Just swap the arrow head for a silver version. With a gun the bullet has to be low calibur or you run the risk of the silver being dispersed before impact. Conceivably the only thing I could see a bow being less effective on than a gun as far as the super natural are concerned is maybe a ghoul or a spirit and in the later case gun wins cause you can load rock salt into a shotgun shell. so by the look of it Bow 2 Gun 1. So im with Eddie I don't see an issue
I'm good for quite a while so whenever
