Maktane's expression was dark and cold, he looked at the food, ignoring Kaito's comment and simply sighed, "I'm not hungry." He turned and entered his room, sitting down on the bed with his knees pulled up to his chest. He stared blankly at the floor trying to process what had happened.
Markus arrived at the lake, slamming his fist repeatedly against a tree, "Damn you father! Damn you to hell!" After a while he collected himself and sighed deeply. suddenly he noticed someone swearing aloud, when he looked around he noticed someone stuck in a rabbit hole. Markus's had a look of extreme confusion as he walked over to the individual and pulled them out of the hole, "Umm excuse me, why were you...." He went silent when he realized who it was, "Hey! What are you doing? I told you to talk to the king!" He sighed and sat down next to the lake, "Never mind, it doesn't matter anyway." The young knight stared into the water and wiped away the mix of tears and blood from his face, "Nothing matters anymore."
Maktane pulled Vixen back, "No, let him go, he doesn't deserve the title of brother." Kit looked at Maktane smirked and then looked at Vixen, "You heard the man, it's my time to go." He winked at her and turned around, walking away. "Good riddance." Maktane said under his breath. He pulled his hand away from Vixens and pulled his teleport crystal, "I'll see you guys at home, teleport home." And with that Maktane vanished and appeared at the apartment on floor 3.
Markus walked into the door of his house and was immediately met with his fathers fist slamming into his face. The young knight dropped to the floor like a rock, "I thought I told you to stay away from the Princess you useless piece of shit!" Markus slowly got up and looked at his father, "Yeah, I heard you." His father responded by punching his son in the stomach and threw him out of the house, "If you don't want to listen, then you don't get to live under my roof." He walked inside and slammed the door. Markus was left to stand outside, blood running down his cheek. In his frustration he started running to the one place he went to calm down, a lake in the forest between the kingdoms. He ran tears and blood running down his face anger filling him with every passing second.
Maktane stared at Vixen his eyes turning sad. Kit stood up and dusted himself off, "Well, now that this has been sorted out I'm gonna bolt." He turned around and started walking away. Maktane glanced over at his brother and spoke silently, "Figures, you never stick around anyways."
Kit looked at Vixen in surprise, "Hey, look she-hulk, he's not the only one who's been through some stuff." At that moment Maktane lost it, he pulled his hand out of Vixen's grabbed the back of Kaito's head throwing him a few feet away, and griped Kit's throat, "It looks like all three of my brother will be dead." He dragged his brother outside to safe zone of the town and threw him to the ground. Kit back up slightly, "Look bro, there is no need to take this out of proportion." Maktane kicked Kit in the mouth, "Out of proportion?" He grabbed his brothers head and lifted him off the ground, "I'll show you out of proportion!" He threw Kit into a near by tree and unsheathed his weapon, slowly advancing towards him.
Maktane stopped a few inches away for the man and spoke with a sound of shock and terror, "K...Kit?" The man turned toward Maktane and grew a friendly smile, "Oh hey dweeb, haven't seen you in awhile." Maktane's expression turned to one of anger, "I thought you were dead..... I was told that all three of you died!" He screamed angrily, "How could you act like nothing happened?" Kit chuckled a little and scratched the back of his head, "Right, see I was the only survivor, both our older brothers couldn't make it... sorry about that." Maktane growled silently, "Sorry? All you have to say to me is fucking sorry! Our brother died and are never coming back and all you have to say is sorry!" He was starting to lose control of his emotions and was about to lash out at any given moment.
"Yeah, let g...." Maktane stopped as his eyes widened and his gaze landed on a man exiting one of the shelters, "B..brother?" He asked quietly as he started to walk toward the man.
Maktane nodded slightly and chuckled under his breath, "Yeah, I guess you're right." He looked at Vixen smiling slightly. He leaned his back to the wall and continued to look at her, a look of peace washed over his face.
Maktane's eyes widened when he heard Vixen sat his name, he quickly looked down a large smile on his face, "Vixen!" He pulled her close and hugged her tightly, "I'm so glad you're still alive." He loosed his grip and looked at her a few tears ran down his check. Maktane looked over at Kaito, "Looks like we're all okay," He chuckled slightly, "That was quite the adventure," He was trying to lighten the mood, but his face was covered with sadness. He was thinking about the risk he took in opening the chest and what could have happened if he wasn't able to find that hidden switch.
