Maktane quickly reached out and grabbed her hand. He tried to pull her back, but slipped and they both went tumbling into the water. Maktane stood up, his clothes drenched, and a look of frustration appeared on his face. He sighed, "That's it, it's official, everything hates me today." He helped Vixen up so she could stand in the water. Maktane shivered a little, "It's a tad cold in here." He said as he blew some of his hair out of his face.
Maktane opened his eyes and sat up. When he saw Vixen his eyes widened and he turned bright red. Wow He thought to himself. He shook his head a little and chuckled. He looked at her and smiled. Maktane saw a flower bed near the water. He grabbed a couple of them and traveled over some rocks across the water to the waterfall, still in his regular clothing. He stopped on a rock next to Vixen, some water from the falls drenching him. He held the flowers out to her and smiled, "Do you like them?" The flower pedals were the same shade of red as her hair. Luckily the waterfall wasn't strong enough to ruin the flowers as he handed them to Vixen.
Maktane turned towards Kaito, "Oh, hey." He smiled, "What's up?" He went and sat at the edge of the small lake at the bottom of the waterfall. Looking back at his friends and called to them, "Hey, come on guys! Sit down, relax!" He laid down on his back, closing his eyes, and listening to the sounds of the water and animals around them. A small smile appeared on his face and he had an expression of pure peace for the first time since he entered the game.
Maktane turned to her, "It's a surprise." They walked for a while, every so often Maktane would check his map. "Alright hold on." He stood behind Vixen and covered her eyes. "Don't worry, I'll guide you so you don't fall over." After a bit he stopped. "Okay, you ready?" Without waiting for a response he removed his hands and placed them on her shoulder and resting his head on top of hers. They stood in front of a large waterfall in a small forest clearing. "Well," He said wrapping his arms around her torso, "What do you think?"
Maktane's face went blank. What do I like to do for fun. He thought about it for a while, his mind continued to stay blank. "Oh, I know." He said his face lighting up. "Give me a second." He opened the map in his menu and searched all around the map of floor four. "Awesome, they do have one." He quickly messaged Kaito that they would be gone and to message him if they needed anything. He pulled her along, "Come on, you'll love this." He said a smile on his face.
Maktane shrugged a bit, "I don't know, what would you like to do." He stopped and turned to Vixen smiling. He looked back at Hawthorn and Kaito who were still talking, "Those guys are no fun, they're all about business," He chuckled to himself, "Wonder if the even know the meaning of the word."
Maktane's jaw dropped, he hand slipped off his knee and he fell to the ground. Quickly shooting back to his feet and scratched the back of his head, "Wow, you look amazing." He smiled and started walking up to her, but before he could get close, a group of guards surrounded him, Oh come on, why am I the only one who gets attacked out of no where? He stood looking at the leader, "Yes," Maktane said with a hit of irritation, "May I help you?" The guard pointed a sword at Maktane, "You may not be a Red Player anymore, but you are still wanted with a hefty price on your head." The guard had a hard look on his face. "Oh give it a rest," Maktane threw a bag of money at there feet, "Here, go buy yourself something nice." He pushed past them, all the guards had a surprised look on their faces. Maktane grabbed a hold of Vixen's hand, "So, are we going to just sit here and talk or are we going to do something?"
Maktane gasped and blushed, a small smile appears on his face. Shaking the blush away he looks up at Hawthorn, "If you hear anything about Redoc just message me." Maktane walked over to an area near the teleport gate and sat down, an elbow on one knee and a hand on the other. Sitting quietly he watched the people around him move quickly. Some people looked at him with weird looks for just sitting in the middle of the road, while others whispered to each other and looked at him with a look of surprise. I wonder what they're talking about. He used his listening skill the ease drop, "Is that, that most wanted guy from floor three? Why is his marker green?". Maktane sighed, Why am I not surprised, even people from the assault team of heard about me. His expression turned to irritation.
Maktane looked up at Vixen his eyes red and weary, "You don't notice do you?" He wiped the tears away with his sleeve and looked at the floor again. "The way he acts around you and is so protective. I mean sure he is watching out for you, but..." He stops for a second standing up slowly. "Never mind, it's not important." He hugged her for a moment, "Thanks for worrying though..." and with that he walked back over to the other two.
He sat on the floor in front of Vixen, "The way he looks at you..." He glanced at Hawtorn. He looked down at the ground his hair covering his eyes, tears started falling as he clenched his fist. He raised his fist about to punch the ground, but stopped himself letting his hand drop.
