"He used to be a Red Player bounty hunter, he and I use to run into each other from time to time." Maktane looked over at Vixen his expression turning soft, "But no need to worry about it now, since I'm no longer a Red Player, he won't hunt me anymore."
Maktane walked up to Kaito, "Well Mr. Genius? What's the plan?" Suddenly Maktane's expression turned dark and his grip on Vixen's hand tightened slightly. His eyes were locked on a man walking by. The man looked at Maktane and sneered, "Well, well, look who it is. The infamous Shadow Killer, Maktane." he laughed a little and saw the two that Maktane were with, "And he has some friends." Maktane snapped at him, "I don't go by that title anymore, I quit being a Red Player." His expression turn to one of deep hatred, "Let's go guys." He placed his free hand on Kaito's shoulder and guided him and Vixen out of the restaurant.
Maktane noticed the tear running down Vixen's face and wiped it away with his hand. He smiled to himself, I'm the luckiest man in the entire world. He kissed her on the forehead and grabbed her hand, "Come on, we don't want to keep Kaito waiting." He gently pulled her with him and walked towards their friend.
Maktane's eyes widened and he smiled widely, "Really?" He hugged her tightly for a minute or two burying his face into her neck. "I never thought someone as amazing as you would see anything in a guy like me." He said as he pulled back his hands on her shoulders. He couldn't stop smiling, he leaned in and placed his forehead against hers.
Maktane got up and pulled Vixen aside so the could have a moment of privacy. He stared at the floor and scratched his head nervously, "Well, I wanted to know if..." He shook his head and looked at her with a kind of determined look, No more of this, I'm not going to lose this chance. "Would you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked quickly and to the point. Well, there's no turning back now.He thought to himself as he blushed and looked to the side.
Maktane finished his entire meal before the other two even ate halve of their food. He sat satisfied and full, he sighed, "That was so good!" He looked over at the other two, quite puzzled, "Oh you guys aren't done yet? Man you two are slow." He teased and leaned back. He glanced at Vixen every so often, Why am I so nervous about asking her?
Maktane lost his train of thought when Kaito spoke, "Hmm, I would have never guessed you for a guy with the name like that." He smiled, "It's a cool name though." he then turned his attention to Vixen, "I'll ask you later." He whispered and turned to a person bringing a large tray of food, "Food!!" Maktane smiled and starting eating.
Maktane glanced at Vixen and meet her look, Oh no, did she catch me staring at her?! He face got completely red and his breathing speed up. "Ummm... Vix.. I mean Sora? Would you like to..." He stopped himself mid sentence and shook his head, I'm too nervous...
Maktane smiled back at her, he sat for a while just looking at her. I can't believe how pretty she is. When he noticed that he was staring at her he blushed and looked away.
Maktane laughed, "Hey I warned him." when Vixen said her real name he looked at her surprised and then smiled, "Sora huh? That's a pretty name" He scratched the back of his head and spoke quietly so no one out side the booth could hear, "My names Roden. I've never found out what my last name was though..." He looked at Vixen and noticed her looking at something, "What are you looking at?"
