– Kathy

After a bit of walking, Kathy looked around to make sure Crash was nowhere in sight. Sighing, she finally dropped the fake smile on her face stopped for a moment to lean against the wall. A moment later, she decided to give up on standing altogether and slowly slid down onto the floor. Looking at Lion, she mumbled, “Just give me a few seconds. I promise, after that it’ll all be about reuniting you with Little Feather.” Gently combing her fingers through Lion’s thick mane, she thought about everything that had transpired that day. ‘There was a lot. And the day’s not even over yet.’ She thought. A momentary blush came over her as she remembered what happened back at the library. Shaking her head to clear the thought away, she sighed and asked Lion, “Caleb Waterfront... What’d you think of him Lion? Crash I mean.”

Whatever reply Lion had to give, Kathy could only let out a light laugh. “Too bad I can’t understand you like Little Feather can. Right now I feel rather awkward, like I’m just having a one-sided conversation by myself.” Getting back up, she dusted her clothes of any potential dust that got on her and stretched her arms out towards the ceiling. Her usual smile was back on her face. “Now let’s get to it. Tell me if you catch a whiff of her scent or something.” She had no idea how good a lion’s nose was, but she assumed even a spirit animal would have a better sense of smell than a normal human.

With a white lion following by her side, she roamed the halls as she tried to think of where Little Feather could have gone.
– Leroy

More bored than ever, Leroy suddenly appeared right beside the Seven and Dani. He had gotten up from the floor sometime during their conversation and approached the two boys as quietly as possible, on purpose, in an attempt to surprise them. “Hey, wanna let me in on the interesting talk?” Smiling in a friendly manner, he didn’t bother to wait for them to answer before he continued, “I’m Leroy by the way. I caught your names from overhearing your conversation, but just for the sake of formality want to re-introduce yourselves to me?”

He gave them a moment to reply before he stared, “Sorry for cutting interrupting you two, but you see…” He began a count-down inside of his head, mimicking a slight moment of hesitation. ‘Three… Two… One.’ “I got here a day late compared to everyone, so I feel really awkward. Y’know? I can’t help but wonder if everyone’s already gone and made friends or formed little social groups without me. So yeah. I’m a little desperate for some human interaction here.”
Just busy with work. My boss lets me fiddle with my phone when we're not too busy. XD

Chocolate, a lot of chocolate...Also morning to you.

I want your next meal. @_@
Morning/afternoon everyone!

Random topic of the day: What are you eating for your next meal?
Maire was on the verge of fainting, partially due to the tightness of the corset she had been forced into but mostly due to her own inability to breathe normally. “I can’t do this. I can’t. They’ll find out..! They’ll know immediately!” Her eyes wide with fright, she desperately tried to convince the man sitting across from her to turn the carriage around. They were already within Lutetia’s borders, and the lively buzzing of people just beyond the covered windows of the carriage seemed to suggest they had finally arrived into the capital. This also meant that Maire’s time was quickly running out.

“Our kingdoms were not on very friendly terms Princess Alicia, almost no one from Lutetia has had the chance to properly meet the two of you in person.” Unsympathetically, the man spoke to her in a stern but respectful tone. She had been told that he was one of her father’s, the King’s, personal guards and could be trusted to the ends of the earth to protect both her and the secret about her missing sister. However, to Maire he was nothing but a stranger carrying out her father’s orders.

“But I’m not-”

Using the same tone of voice as before, he interrupted her mid-sentence. “Princess Alicia, we’re almost there. Please let go of your dress. We will not have time to get you changed before you meet your fiancé.” Without warning her directly, he was clearly reminding Maire that she was to respond to one name and only one alone: Alicia.

Slumping back into the plush seats of the 2-horse carriage, Maire stopped gripping onto the fabric of her dress and attempted to smooth out the wrinkle she had made. Instead of her usual knee-length skirts, she was in a proper full-length dress that needed to be gently lifted up to her ankles to be able to walk without treading on the laced hems. Matching her white and purple dress, she wore purple heels with small white rose decorations that helped her reach her sister’s natural height. The tight corset she wore under her dress was also forcing her to straighten her back and stand tall as her sister always had. Her straight red hair was pulled back and raised into a style similar to her Alicia’s, but they had not been able to replicate the natural tight waves in her sister’s hair. In short, she was dressed as Alicia would have been. Her sister had always loved the color purple. It suited Alicia’s deep blue eyes and the mature manner in which she carried herself. Maire’s eyes were green, and no matter how hard she tried she knew there was no way for her to mimic the natural charisma her sister always exuded.

She had never even worn a single article of clothing they had brought with her. They had all been made to mimic her sister’s tastes in clothing, but tailored to actually fit her smaller body. Tight corsets, heels that were always at least 2 inches higher than she was used to, and fabric that always had a tint of blue or purple… Her existence as ‘Maire’ had been completely left behind in Brynmor. They had not dared to even allow her to bring a single item of personal importance for fear that it would give away her true identity.

And all too soon, the carriage came to a stop. Someone beyond the door was announcing ‘her’ name. Alicia Isolde Brynmor. ‘Alicia…’ Calling out to the sister that had abandoned her, the princess tried to recall the many moments she had chased behind her sister’s tall and reassuring back. Slowly getting out of the carriage, she stood tall and tried to walk towards the castle in front of her with confident strides. Her chin was tucked in and her eyes politely lowered, but not so low to seem hesitant or weak. Humble, but still confident and strong.

Maire had no confidence. She was weak. She was far younger than her sister and wanted nothing more than to return back home and cry her heart out. However, there was one thing she could be sure of. If there was anyone that could copy Alicia’s mannerisms perfectly down to even her subconscious habits, it was her. More than anyone, she had always followed after her sister and admired her with all her heart. For the sake of peace, in place of her sister who had yet to be found, for her parents who had no choice but to send her there, and for her own safety… She had to rely on her physical resemblance to her sister as a direct sibling and the years she had spent by her sister’s side. No matter what, as soon as she stepped into that castle, she had to become ‘Alicia’.
– Kathy

Kathy breathed out a sigh of relief when the needle was finally lowered away from her neck. “Um… Thank you.” The look on Kiwi’s face scared her, but for the moment she was too relieved to think about the future repercussions. Worried about the possibility of Kiwi changing her mind, she quickly took a few steps away from the door before looking inside and gesturing quickly for Crash to come out.

“That was too easy though. I didn’t think she’d let us go at all.” She commented once they were both out of the infirmary. After a small pause, she added in a small voice. “Sorry. And thank you, really. I feel like I’m relying on you too much and getting you into trouble because of it.” Hoping she could convey her thoughts without sending Crash on a guilt trip, she quickly smiled and added, “I promise, I’ll make it up to you. I don’t know how yet or when, but I will! Watch, I'll make sure you're the one in by debt soon.” She laughed, keeping everything in a joking tone. Inside though, she really just wanted to apologize and thank him over and over again. However, she had finally learned her lesson from before and didn’t want the mood between them to become awkward again. ‘The slap, treating my hand, and helping me carry the girl to the infirmary.’ She counted the number of debts to repay inside her head. ‘And maybe also for the uncomfortable conversation in the cafeteria this morning..? No, I think it’d be better to just sweep that under the rug completely. Three. I owe him three big favors.’

She then turned her attention to Lion. “Let’s look for Little Feather now. I’ve really kept you waiting haven’t I?” Looking at Crash though, she hesitated. He had already offered to help with their search back at the library, and if Kathy was being honest with herself then she wanted him to come. “Hey, Crash?” She began, however... ‘That’s really enough, isn’t it? I shouldn’t ask for so much from one person.’ She touched her bandaged hand, thinking she was glad Kiwi had left it the way it was. “….. Thanks, a lot. I’ll see you later at Zivon’s place right?” Giving him another smile, she barely waited for a reply before she began to walk away, trying her best to look cheerful as long as she was still within Crash’s sight.
