Distracted by the fireworks no one saw Hotarubi taking off her kimono, now only wearing her thief clothes.
She quickly ran towards the wagon from behind and pulled her tanto from her sash. One of the guards saw the thief and ran towards her ready to empale her with his spear, however the female was faster, running in zig-zag and confusing the guard she quickly slammed him against the floor using a martial art movement.
Because of the noise the fireworks caused the other guards did not hear their partner being knocked out.
From the corner of her eye the petite thief could see Evangelina sharpening her katanas.
"Everything is ready..."
Hotarubi thought and smiled, the time had come.
A royal carriage and wagon could be seen coming slowly, due to all the people on the street,the guards were doing their best trying to keep the crowds away from the carriage and wagon, which was full of gold and jewels.
"I have been planning this for a really long time, so there can make any mistake..."
Hotarubi used a red string to tight her hair in a high pony tail, this was the signal for Evangelina to lit the fireworks...
