I think I'll probably make a new nation. And this one will be something of a city-state; a big ol' walled city surrounded by mutant and cannibal infested wilderness/wasteland. Maybe; I still haven't fully decided. I might just keep the one I have.
@TheSovereignGraveThat one was not sarcastic. They most likely will be disbanded by then. Also, the latter of that post is exaggerated, but still is a pretty good (if cynical) expression of our psychology.Marshall all but explicitly stated that the nuking was the result of the last UN meeting. The nukes didn't fall in 2088; 2088 is when the RP takes place.
@TheSovereignGrave the UN don't do shit in 2088. They really just want oil and to explode nukes shaped like dicks. Read up on your political science brah....I'm confused. Now you're not even adding anything to the conversation and you're just being sarcastic.
@TheSovereignGraveYe, they all wanted each others' resources after the reaper hit and slowed productions to a halt. Anybody with nukes nuked other people, and the people with nukes nuked the people that nuked them. Nuke nuke nuke.I don't think the UN would be like 'Okay, let's destroy each other for each other's resources. Nevermind the fact that we'll be destroyed too'.
@TheSovereignGrave@MarshallIt is likely that is the 'reasoning' rather than the 'reason'. *cough cough* oil politics *cough* (If you understand my point) "We are totally 100% reaper free. But they aren't! Lets nuke'm!" *Thinks: Mmm..oil* (Draped in sarcastic literature)The impression I got was that everyone nuked everyone. Not that some nations nuked the others.
We have two options, I can change the story more and make it make more sense but that will put some people off and potentially cause all character sheets to be void or at least up for change. OR, I can completely redo this entire roleplay and repost in a week or so. I'm open to suggestions give me an answer. PLUS: People that know about nuclear winters should recall that during a "Nuclear Winter" there is also a nuclear summer which can have temperatures of 120 or so degrees Fahrenheit and it can rain acidic water for days on end. Technology wasn't so much "lost" as it was horribly and terrible torn apart, and the reason for the "war" was actually to end the spread of the Reaper virus and kill as many people as possible that were tightly grouped together. What exactly do you mean by 'change the story more'? And how would it put people off? And why would you completely redo it?
@TheSovereignGrave That is exactly my point. We don't learn much about Africa. That is a societal decision. We do Pharohs, American Slavery, then Muslim terrorists.Well to be fair Africa hasn't had much of an effect on the rest of the world as, say, Europe or the Americas. I mean, we don't learn much about South America either. But this isn't exactly the place to discuss this.
