She finds herself in a completely black room. She couldn't see anything around her. Furthermore, for some reason, she was in her clothes, although she didn't recall putting them on. The sound of somethg large can be heard moving in the darkness.

A minion gestures to Kami, in the Tongue of Gods, which is the subtle sign language used by those who have entered the God's Tears. "Aisyle is dead. He triggered the lava." Kami was disappointed at her rival's ineptitude, and that she hadn't gotten the chance to interrogate them. But she knew she'd have to take the necessary steps. "Send an emissary to fault. Aisylle is dead. Offer them a chance to join God's Tears, or live a short life as beggars on the streets. Many of them are skilled. They would be an asset to the church." Even failure brought new opportunities. While God's Tears and Fault had never openly been at war, Kami had always wanted to take over. Now that she had taken out Aisylle, her reputation would also grow, opening up new options of blackmail.

There's a moment of blackness. Two men pick her up, and place her in some form of carriage. There's a sense of movement, although she's not sure where she's moving, and then, as the blindfold is removed, she's standing in a long hall, in front of a door. Before her, is Kami's throne room, where, upon her golden throne, Kami sits, as she turns her attention to Ellysia. Johnathan is excused, as he moves back to his duty of finding invasive metas.
"Welcome, to God's Tears, miss Ellysia. I'm sure you've been mislead as to why you're here, but that's par course." Another fly had entered the web, and soon, thought Kami, she would be consumed. Next to Kami stood Ashley, looking stiff, with a blank expression on her face.

James had seen enough. A student who was prepared to strike down a teacher, and was easily distracted from mortal danger? She was lucky she had never touched her weapon, or he would have killed her right then, right there. This academy had enough trouble without some upstart who would kill another over honor. He made a mental note to have her "accidentally" signed up for Survival Classes. He'd either beat that honor out of her, or she'd die.
