I think so. Gainax was also responsible for panty and stocking........that goddamn ending.......

Never seen it, never going to.

who the hell is bob?

He's a manifestation of human creativity, innovativeness, insanity, and curiosity. He's known as the God of the Theatre, the Lord of Insanity, the Keeper of Secrets, and the Spirit of the Opera. His true name is Deus Ex Machina. 'God in the Machine'. However, he prefers Bob.

As a manifestation of creativity, insanity, art, as well as base human emotion, Bob is pretty damn random. When he fights, he does so by either controlling your feelings, or simply altering reality itself.
Although, now that I think about it, Teo is probably more Bob insane than Stein insane......

he can be injurd by soul attacks ,but due to His soul power, they affect him less.about your first question heres a link:

Actually, you specifically stated his soul cannot be destroyed. So no, he can't be killed by soular attacks. Soular attacks kill by destroying the soul.

Also, there's a large difference between that trope, and an immunity. I was thinking like what Mithias has, which is that he's simply immune to psychic incursion. His mind is a wall, from which no information can be gleaned.

Now, 5, it doesn't care what's in your mind, it can just copy it. Sane, insane, happy, sad, it just reads your mind and then copies the contents. As such, the current clone is JUST as insane as you are.

Lastly, I'm going to be an evil GM. Your character is insane, right? Roleplay it. Up until now, he just runs around hitting people with a hammer, and even then he only hits the bad guys. At worst, he's been acting overzealous. Play him like someone who's really lost his mind. To help, I've decided to involve an.... ahem.... EXAMPLE, of one of my favorite insane characters.

Show, don't tell.

Yo wiz,Teo cant be mind read remeber?

After inspecting his CS, I discovered it does indeed say that. However, for some reason, you mention this in the 'other' category instead of the 'powers' category, which is why I was so confused as to the matter. Furthermore, I'm questioning WHY he can't be mind-read. He's already immune to physical and soular attacks, the latter of which is unexplained as well, and now he's also immune to mental attacks? While I will admit that offensively he's not overpowered, except potentially his hammer's nonspecific ability to 'hurt everything', your character is indestructible from every method of attack, he could only be defeated by a Conceptual attack, or a Sealing attack. Sealing attacks are a pain to pull off successfully, and Conceptual attacks are the domain of Primals and Interdimensional Deities.

Aaaaaaand I get skipped over in Matt's mega-posts... Again... *le sigh*

Oh, shit! I hadn't seen that!

I'm sowwy )=

Damnit, made two massive posts, and now I have to perform all these revisions. Alright, I'm going to edit in some stuff into Toguro's post, and see if I can make this make sense without screwing up ocntinuity. Sorry for missing your post, man, last I saw you were stuck in some dimension and I was wondering whether I'd have Toguro walk in on you ^^.

Dude, to be honest, I really don't think I could do it better after reading your post. Also, the battle against hate will be the closest thing to a Michael Bay movie with a gainax ending. Maybe not the gainax ending part but that's kinda debatable.

Hey, you're always welcome to try, man. I do what I do because I tried it, and it was fun. Start a thread, build a world, get some players. I'd be interested in seeing how you GM, everyone has a different style.

Gainax ending? Isnt Gainax the group responsible for Evangelion?

Well so far, I haven't really used dark maka in the rp for quite a long time, along with alastor, who is about city level but has a pocket dimension in place of a soul (so he'd be immune to soular damage) don't ask me how it works.Najimi, I'm not so sure. I mean yeah she's seriously overpowered, but to be honest, you had a char that could transfer any wound someone inflicted to that person's loved ones. That ability's weakness is something no one could really figure out, and something I still cannot figure out to this day. There was also the one char that absorbed/possessed kihaku. (Ues I still remember her name) that same char became ultra powerful. That same char absorbed a clone of itself, and became more ultra powerful. There was also the daemon, whose success in destroying the universe could only be delayed and apparently couldn't be prevented by any means. On an unrelated noted I noticed I misspelled yes. But back to the topic at hand. Do I need to mention the judge? The char that, despite being a mage with power over life and death that was being amplified by runes and soular energy, could somehow draw power from the void and become ultra powerful. Not trying to justify najimi or anything btw

Yeah, I probably shouldn't harp off on Dark Maka. At this point, she's pretty much irrelevant. Yes, Devil Matt was effectively immortal, but he was immortal because he was the Big Bad. The idea of most of my stories is rather simple, beat the Big Bad. After doing that for a bit, I started delving into multiple ways in which I could present the Big Bad, and how I could make them work, and how I could agitate the characters. I was experimenting with GMing styles, and this is most evident when you look at what I did with the bad guy, the story's Big Bad.

Stein was the Original Evil. He was pretty much the first real bad guy in the history of HCL, and as such he just went around screwing people over. He broke their stuff, screwed with their family, took their artifacts, and made full abuse of the fact that everyone back then was amazingly gullible. This turned into a chase, where everyone banded together to screw over Stein, and, for a while, this worked out great. However, then I decided I needed some sort of climax, an epic battle where everything would get tied up, no loosed ends.

Let's just say that 'ending with a bang' was an undersatement, when describing this boss battle.

Next up was Devil Matt. My favorite moments with Stein were when he was actually a part of the group, hanging around and screwing with people. You knew he was evil, but he was still 'technically' in your team. Of course, I wouldn't be able to pull the same trick again. As such, Devil Matt was made effectively immortal. This, combined with his power, meant he effectively forced the cast to work with them. I tried to go a bit grimmer, confronting the players with some gruesome visuals, and the idea that their characters are forced to do evil, without being able to do anything about it. I wanted to add a bit more character and personality to the group, and, in my opinion, it worked great. I had a lot of fun with this arc.
In this version of the universe, he was one of 3 Primordial Evils, bastions of absolute darkness. The other 2 were the Millenium Earl, and Satan. He couldn't be killed, except by someone with no doubt, no hesitation, and an absolutely pure heart. My original idea for the climax would be that Bug, having redeemed himself from killing Tsukune, would have been able to temporarily adopt Tsukune's mindset. He'd then have to strike the killing blow to Devil Matt, ending his reign of terror once and for all. Then, because there must always be 3 Primordial Evil, there would be a choice. Either one of the players could become the next Primordial Evil, or a minor evil character introduced before would become evil. Preferably this Multiverse's version of Stein. Potentially Solus, or Kami.
Unfortunately, I never got to complete my plans, but it was nice while it lasted.

Next up, the Daemon. Amsusingly enough, this take went without a Big Bad for a little while. In an attempt to recapture a bit of Ancient HCL, I made it a bit more open-world-y. Tiny established his factions, and you yourself created that trio of Kishin Witch Sisters, including Lilith. I played Matt as a bored mad scientist, who was no longer the adventurous youth he had once been, but more interested in peace and order. This was a midstep into his evolution into a keeper of absolute law. For a while, just having the characters bounce off of one another was more than enough fun. However, eventually I wanted to try my hand at the Overarching Plot once more. This is when Kami showed up at the Clone Emperor's Homeworld. Of course, this dude is COMPLETELY different from the Kami inprevious incarnations, which was incredibly confusing. I've never been very good with names.
I bult up the Daemon to be completely unstoppable. I took the immortal elements of Devil Matt, but I didn't give them a weakness. Instead of an evil dude with a snappy comeback and a poisoned dagger, they were a force of nature. They were a force of nature, an unstoppable and inevitable holocaust of something that was so much bigger than the characters that it just didn't care. I wanted to throw the characters up into the face of inevitable failure, and, in the end, it was all a massive buildup for Hope, and Pandora's Box. I found it a very appropriate title.
The idea was that Hope was the only thing that could kill the Daemon. However, in order to make that possible, the players would have to commit horrible acts, mutilating a small girl's mind and body. The idea was to inspire moral debate, and it worked. I thought it was amazing, and it's one of the things I'm the most proud of to this day. While many people wnated to do the 'right' thing, and free the small girl, Tiny, for example, realized that doing so would doom all of creation. Do the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few? I loved this arc, but it would have been impossible to do without making the daemon so grossly overpowered.

Lastly, it's Hate. And I'll admit, Hate was a bit silly. I basically made her because Tyki destroyed my favorite character, so Hate was supposed to screw him over more as a revenge act than anything else. it was childish and silly, but hey, what's done is done. Eventually, it became a massive group battle where literally everone in the roleplay was fighting Hate in a massive Boss Battle, and it was amazingly epic. I remember Natsu basically launching a miniature supernova at her, and all kinds of epic explosions. This was a high-powered battle done right, with people being punched through planets and stars exploding, the closest text ever got to SFX. It would have made the perfect Micheal Bay movie, because the plot sucked, but hey. Unfortunately, it was ended by Tyki pulling Bullshit with the 'council'. Amusingly enough, this happened in the Daemon universe, before the Daemon appeared. Itw as basically just a big old duke out.

Every character was overpowered for their own reasons, and had their own styles. As the GM, it's my job to create a badass story, and without creating characters like that it's much, much harder. A bad guy that can be beaten fairly easily is worthless, and won't lead to any dramatic tension. The reason the bad guy is always more badass in the beginning is to accentuate how badass the good guys are later for beating him. Badass heroes need badass villains, that's just how the world works.

Of course, if you think you can do it better, I'd be happy to hand you the reins.

Yeah, thanks Matt. Anyways, all I really need to know is:a. What the fuck is going on andb. ... What the fuck is going on?

At the moment, I just set up the Bad Guys. My idea is that a group called the Champions of Omega is going arouns the Multiverse releasing a series of Seals. These seals have something to do with their master plan to destroy balance in the multiverse, the ultimate feat of destruction. The bad guys basically just walked over, took a dump on the heroes' faces, and then left, announcing just how evil they were as they left. Thus, a ragtag team of heroes will have to form to chase these people, each in it for either pure motives, or just to wipe the shit off into their faces. It's an old-fashioned race, which I will use to set up a whole bunch of unique locations, and maybe revisit some old ones. SO if you want in, just say so, and I'll find a way to work your char into the plot.

Of course, you could also go have fun with the Dark One. I'm planning on working with Tiny to get the two storylines to overlap, perhaps the Dark One is required to open one of the Seals, or something like that.
Even as Mithias skillfully wove around the attack, which, to a trained swordfighter for a couple of hundred years, had been simply disgraceful. A quick riposte had struck the clone's wing, and, surprisingly, it had come apart as easily as slicing through butter. Presumably, the individual nanobots were moving out of the way so as to minimize the force of the impact. However, the effect was quite noticeable, as the clumsy creature nearly tumbled over in midair. After a second or so, the wing had been rebuilt, and it was once more balanced. However, this was almost surreally easy, especially seeing the two opponents this creature had only moments before destroyed. It was quite clear that this being had no experience with this form of combat.

The silence was broken by a shout from below, as Teo rocketed up, his hammer flashing through the air as it smashed into 5's side. It's torso was obliterated, scattering into a billion pieces as the hammer tore through it, powered by not only Teo's physical strength, but the upwards thrust of his personal jet pack. Of course, this intervention from the man who was, still, dressed like a giant banana, did nothing to make the scene seem less surreal. In fact, Mithias had to remind himself that he was not high, and this banana man with the hammer was just a part of this brand new experience.

However, from there, things went downhill. This time, it took less than a second for the the nanites to resume their original shape. And instead of forming into the torso that had been smashed, now the creature's upper and lower body were connected solely by a thin metal pipe, whereas the rest had formed into a large four-fingered metal claw, attached to a long metal chain. This in itself would not be that big a problem, were it not for the fact that the claw was firmly attached around Teo's face, a steady hum filling the air as Mithias realized that Teo wasn't moving.

To Teo, the world had soon dissolved. One moment,he had been rushing to fight one of the two flying vampires with swords (and apparently hit the evil one), and the next, he was in a bed. He was feeling quite tired, and his body ached like crazy, but it wasn't the ache of a burning wound. He felt.... weary. It hurt just keeping his eyes open, and as he breathed, he could hear a faint rattling from his ribcage. Looking at his hands, they were wrinkled, the skin papery dry. He could see the veins running under his skin, as if it were transparent, although his site seemed to be fading. The good thing was that the pain was fading away. He could hear someone saying something, a language he didn't understand, but it was alright. Everything was slowly fading to black.... but somehow, he felt at peace.

In these moments, he felt a strange sense of invasion. It was disturbing, humiliating. As if he were standing naked before an audience, but somehow more intimate. His very memories, his knowledge, his thoughts, his opinions, his very being, penetrated. He could feel something akin to a tentacle rumaging through his brain, and yet, old and frail, was powerless to stop it. A twisting, nearly painful violation of his mind, akin to mental rape.

And then he was gone.

As the claw released Teo, he plummeted down to the Earth, spiraling due to the remaining energy in his now steerless jet pack. His heart was beating, his subconscious causing him to breathe, his mind completely intact. And yet, he was lost, experiencing his own death over and over, a Hell forged from the memories of a dying man, a torment of events doomed to repeat themselves for eternity. Like a falling meteor, he crashed into the ground below,a bright, cartoonish explosion marking the landing site as several of his more unstable gadgets exploded violently. AS was the nature of a mad scientist.

No longer was Mithias staring into a mirror of himself. The nanobots, once more, had rearranged their physical form, and it was instantly clear who this was. Wielding a large hammer, the top of which was a bright red material, it moved into fighting position. His left hand was at his belt, ready to pull out whatever invention he felt was appropriate for the situation, his visor having slid down over his eyes. A cocky smile illuminated the young face, and it was clear that this recreation was completely different from the one Mithias had faced before. The posture, the grin, the movements of the hammer as it wove through the air. Nearly unconsciously, Mithias would have solidified his guard, old habits making him check his footwork, despite the ground being over a hundred meters down. As the clone spoke, it was Teo's voice that was heard. "Looks like I'm going to have to solve this with violence. It's Hammertime!"

Minx's eyes widened, and she quickly tried to force some sort of rune onto Toguro's skin, a faint dark mist forming into the rune. She tries to strike the spot, with an open palm, glowing bright pink, with pink colored lighting, as if she thinks she can break him apart with this strike."Neither am I..." She says, with a partial smile, thinking this her ace in the hole. Darkside seems a bit shocked, as he looks about, as if expecting an attack.

Smiling, Toguro stops his fist. In his line of work, he did a lot of fighting. That was because his line of work WAS fighting. And he was a hard worker indeed. After all, to him, work and play were one and the same. But, when fighting a large amount of people in this world, there's a few things you tend to learn. Mark it down to practical experience. First, don't rely on a single method of attack, there's someone out there who's immune to it. Secondly, good guys tend to come in swarms, something about teamwork and ponies that makes them stick together harder than glue. Thirdly..... everyone has their own little ace up their sleeves. And it's best to kill them before they manage to get their tricks off.

As the mark was drawn, Toguro already knew that he was the target of some form of special attack, or defensive maneuver. Perhaps it was triggered by him punching, or, more likely, it was her attack that would trigger it. While he could probably have moved his fist fast enough to kill her before she managed to activate her attack, there was no way to guarantee that wasn't exactly what she wanted. In these situations, the best solution wasn't the obvious one. In fact, the very fact that it was obvious made it dangerous, as your opponent could have planned for it. So Toguro needed an attack that would be unexpected, and he needed an attack that was fast. Preferrably so fast his opponent wouldn't be able to react.

Of course, there was a fourth rule to fighting an opponent with unknown powers. Always, ALWAYS, keep a close eye on the environment, on every single thing that goes on around you. Experience helped with this one.

EDIT:
At the last moment, two figures were transported into the area, already ready to fight, one of them even going so far as to attampt to strike him, although even at this level he could absorb the impact fairly easily. There were new factors to take into acount, and Toguro didn't hesitate in releasing the vacuum shell he had created around the fight. The difference in positive and negative charge inside and outside the bubble would automatically resolve, at near the speed of light, as the massive amount of energy was transported. Had air been a good conductor, this wouldn't even had been noticeable. However, it was not, and the resulting 'friction' created enough heat to burn as hot as any burst of flame could. Announced with thundrous applause, the entire scene was engulfed in ball lightning.

At the speed of light, the area was superheated, as Ball Lightning materialized around the pair of combatants. The thunderclap, iconic of the superheating of air particles, seemed almost simultaneous with the bright flash of light at this short distance. It was a wave of heat, the ground and combatants scorched, and yet, even as the smoke cleared, Toguro simply stood. He hadn't moved from his position, hadn't done anything unnecesary. Minx, however, returned to her human form, was not so lucky. Struck by ball lightning that had partially originated from inside her body, her flesh was roasted, and her heart had stopped. Her muscles hadn't even had time to spasm, as would have been typical of a more prolonged exposure. Instead, she simply dropped to the ground. Force powers or no, she would experience brain death in mere seconds.

Looking up for a moment, Toguro held up one hand, as if signifying the end of the fight. "That was a good fight. 5, let's get out of here. The boss is done here by now, he's going to need us at the next seal." Nodding to Minx, who had fallen to the ground, her skin now charred a deep black, he walked away. "If she lives, tell her to come fight me some other time. That was the most fun I've had in a while. If not..... well, I'm sure one of you guys can try to avenge her for me, right? If you do, come at me with all you got, and go out with a bang." Toguro stuck one hand seemingly inside his chest, as the many small orbs that had once been a part of him flew towards him, attaching themselves to him once more. From inside his chest cavity he retrieved what seemed to be a large gem, and as he held it forwards, a portal opened. "I have a feeling we're going to meet up real soon. We'll have a good time." With this, he walked through the portal, which closed behind him.
