Slowly and gingerly, the appointed SOLDIER agents picked up the seemingly unconscious Kami no Kage. He seemed lifeless enough, but they had seen this figure dancing through their ranks, at such speeds that his blade was nothing more than a flash of light. And they had not forgotten the legends and rumours, that the Purge leader was an immortal killing machine. It was mostly propaganda - an enemy who fears you is halfway towards defeat. But Some of it was accurate.

Cuffs were placed on his arms, and both soldier dragged him away. When, suddenly, fingers gripped their wrists. Kami no Kage's wrists had twisted 180 degrees, a freakish sight, and it took them a moment to realize he must have dislodged his own wrists. One finger placed itself carefully on the tendon of their wrists, the rest clasped around them, twisting their arm. They tried for their guns, of course, but from this position Kami no Kage could fairly easily have broken their arms.

"Let go of the men before I blast your goddamn head off!"

A group of SOLDIER had instantly surrounded Kami no Kage, each equipped with heavy AP weaponry designed to pierce his armoured suit. Nervously, they aimed the weapons at the featureless black glass plate that covered Kami's face. Fingers nervously tapped triggers, as time seemed to drag it's feet. A silence that couldn't be broken, that covered the scene.

Kami, for his part, simply stared. He saw the flames, the shattered columns, the piles of rubble, the arms sticking out from it. The corpses of the fallen, piled high among the ruins of their world. The ashes of the age of man, strong in the wind, an omen of the end. He watched, wordless, soundless.

[Watch, as the fruits of your work unfold. Today, you have stood beside demons, and slaughtered fellow men. And your judgement will come.]

Once more lapsing into silence, Kami no Kage released his two hostages, who then dumped him into the truck, making sure to remain out of arm's reach. A set of three men entered with him, each armed with anti-tank rifles. They would have removed Kami no Kage's armour, of course, had such a thing been possible. This suit had not been designed for easy removal, and only the person wearing it could remove it with ease. If SOLDIER wanted this technology, they'd have to cut it off of him.

They had fallen out of grace. And judgement would be placed on them.

----------------------

The truck moved across the thick roads, which had been reserved just for their passage. No delays would be accepted, and all other traffic was redirected to different routes. Each guard sat down, keeping a nervous eye on the slumped armoured figure on the floor. behind the shaded glass it was impossible to tell if he was asleep or watching them, and they were far too wise to check. They jumped slightly at every bump, the 3 pairs of manacles around Kami's arms doing little to reassure them.

[Do you have children? A family?]

"What? Okay, you shut-"

A rapid burst of movement, arms striking the first guard in the neck, his neck snapped and bloodline ruptured. A gun was raised, and then was kicked, flipping out of the figure's hands before Kami no Kage moved on. No room to move, no room to escape, fun flipped away, trigger finger broken before he could pull. The third man dropped to the floor, a scream muted by a boot to the neck, shattering it. The second man had dropped to the floor, unconscious. A calculated application of force to the side of the head, enough to put him down but not enough to kill him. Within a space of 3 seconds all 3 men had fallen, not a single shot fired. Leaning down, Kami no Kage picked up the keys from the figure's, slowly unlocking his arms.

[I was referring to the driver. Are you married? I would hope, if you would court a girl, you would have the decency to marry her. Keep driving.]

The first pair of manacles clattered to the floor. Then the second, then the third. Calmly, Kami no Kage sat down. Only a thin series of bars separated the compartments, and in one hand Kami no kage held the rifle that had moments before been trained on him. The driver, a middle-aged man by the name of Jeffrey, gripped the steer with white knuckles, cold sweat running down his neck. He would tremble, were his body any less tense, were his teeth not grit so tight they threatened to collapse.

[You did not fight, but you aided those who did. That is a sin, do you know what that word means? It means you have insulted your father, the Lord who made and commanded you. Of course, there is forgiveness. For you did so with good intentions. I can see that.]

Slowly, Kami no Kage raised his right foot. The unconscious figure on the floor twitched, as he started to regain consciousness.

[So, why don't you keep on driving? And I will forgive you. Wouldn't that be nice?]

Like a metal-clad whip, the leg struck downwards. The crack of bone, like a miniature explosion, as grey matter and blood coated the inside of the vehicle.

[And you get to return to your family. Retire. Make sure to get your son a good education, and a degree. Raise him to be a moral, just, god-fearing person. Being a soldier is a tiresome job, and the world would be a better place with less of them.]

Nothing was said back. Had Jeffrey had something to say, he would have found his throat too dry to utter words, as tears streamed down his face. But he drove on, steadily, silently. Even as, in the background, he heard Kami no Kage praying, in that robotic monotone. Even as, with every bump, he could hear his former colleagues corpses flop to the floor.

Judgement was coming.
Sorry guys, life“s been a bitch recently >.>

If people are still interesting, I'd like to try and revive this?
Well, you're firing blind and in melee. I mean, Kami no Kage jumped into the middle of the SOLDIER ranks. And they can't see him.

But, it's come to my attention that people want this conflict to come to a conclusion, so I'll have Kami no Kage defeated. But I'd say that it happened because of a lucky hit from an anti-tank rifle.
We really didn't. I got no message about this, nor was I informed beforehand.
Wait, was my character just unceremoniously insta-KO'd? In a melee, in pitch black? What?
Still here.
The Demon screeched, holy blaze lighting it on fire, as it's physical body was ripped to shreds. The hooded figures on top lifted their hands, a great orb of purple energy forming to ward off the blast, but the beast they rode was destroyed. It's form flickered, as the essence of it's being shattered, energy returning to Hell. There it would become one with the natural energy of that realm, before it was given form once more.

Slowly, the three figures hovered to the ground, their faces impossible to see beneath metal masks. And as they did, it became hard to look at them at all, as a steady headache built in those who would watch, an intrusion in the mind, a twitching in the arm. Tendrils of thought probed the edges of the consciousness, as Zio and Mira felt their thought being invaded, an alien presence fighting it's way through their resistance, attempting to dig into their memories, their hopes, and their motivations. As they moved, they felt their arms twitching, their eyes attempting to close, their weapons attempting to inch towards their heart. It was like arm-wrestling an invisible opponent, a battle of will to move even a step as the full force of the psychics was focused on the twins.

The sorcerer was killed, his head crushed and neck cut. Aeshma could feel his soul escape, dragged away to the depths of Hell. It had been claimed a long time ago, and would now be moving to it's new owner. No doubt an eternity of agony awaited the man, or at least the shadow that would remain of him inside his soul. A toy for some Demon Lord, to feed them more energy. A trophy for a collection. Unfortunately, it would not be his.
So, it seemed like he was surrounded by Heathens and monsters. His surrender had not been accepted, he should not have expected even an ounce of grace from the Godless.

Then, the lights fell out.

A werewolf dashed forward from behind, a motion instantly registered and tracked through method of back-mounted cameras. It was the beast's natural instinct to attack upon the perceived weakness of it's prey. A predator of the night, used to being able to easily outmaneauver it's prey in the darkness. Of course, it had never fought Kami no Kage.

Kami no Kage turned, a dagger in his hand already, as he slammed it into the creature's temple. Instantly, the light in it's eyes died, the silver blade hissing against the werewolf's flesh. A second blade was in his hand, pointing the other way to discourage the creature's allies from attacking. Of course, such warnings went unheeded by these foul beasts.

A shriek echoed through the air, a feedback loop loud enough to drop the wolves straight to the ground. It took a second even for Kami no Kage to adjust to the sudden burst of sound, but once he did he realized he had all the opening he needed.

A quick calculation. It would be easy to finish off the werewolves right now, in their weakened state, and had he been alone with them he would have done so promptly. However, the greater threat was the large number of SOLDIER agents who surrounded him now, who had far more temporarily been weakened. Human ears were still vulnerable, but far less so. And he had no doubt his vampiric opponents would adapt as quickly as he did, even now they were probably moving to strike a blow on him. After all, it was only natural for such an animal to strike at weakened prey.

Kami no Kage dashed towards the soldier ranks, one hand outstretched as his sword launched itself into it, the magnetic doing their work once he got within a meter. Those in the front row were already recovering, even after a mere half second, but it was not fast enough. A quick strike separated a man from his lower half. The blade slid through bone like butter, the kevlar offered no resistance to it's diamond edge. Swiftly twirling, Kami no Kage danced his way through the ranks, slashing left and right, guns become almost useless at such short range, his opponent blinded by the darkness. But the worst was yet to come.

After all, he was prey now. And wasn't it only natural that beasts follow their fleeing prey? If a few others got in the way, that would be nothing but bonus.....
