Gabriel sighs, as he looks over the assembled members. It seemed there was no changing what fate had in store. Vampires were individual by nature, the capability to work together all but annihilated through method of natural selection. Immortality bred selfishness, and the oldest, most powerful became a defining factor. Those who worked together would still exist, to some extent. Collaborations of ancient beings, or small groups of newbloods, but they all fell apart after a while. This was the one last weapon humanity held against vampires, the sole reason such an inferior species ruled the planet. Amusingly enough, it was those very flaws that had granted them the power to prosper.

But if vampirekind were to unite under a council of Oldbloods, all that would change.

As the elders lead, the lesser would follow in their footsteps. Fledgelings would surge through the land, multiplying at astonishing rates, and the numbers would turn against humanity. Those newer vampires would wield the technology their elders could not grasp, and the elders would walk the field of war as weapons of mass destruction, beings that could not be stopped by conventional weaponry. There would be no central enemy, no one target to destroy, no single nuclear strike would end this war.

Gabriel stood, shrugging, as he accepted fate as it stood. Perhaps it was time for the world to burn after all. But he wouldn't have a part in it, fighting just wasn't his way.

"My wager remains on a single month. But if you truly wish to prove me wrong, I will simply be witness to your failure. Walk carefully, for the words spoken in this council may well determine the fate of both species."

The Oldblood then walked away in 3 directions, Mithias alone realizing that none of them were real, and the true Gabriel had left some 30 seconds prior.

Good Luck.
It's exams. No subtle ulterior motives, simply a lack of time.

I could still post, but my posting rate would be below what I would consider acceptable.

I'll have a talk with Wraith and see if I can calm her down.
We're dead. Sorry guys, I simply don't have the time required to invest in this roleplay anymore. My upcoming English exam is being a pain, and due to my derpish nature I have left all my work until just before the deadline.

Tiny, Tyki, Wraith, Asura, I rely on you guys to try and keep the story up. Asura, this might be your chance to put up a plot, get it to work.

I'll be back after my exams are done, but that'll be in at least a month. Until then, you guys are on your own.

Sorry for the inconvenience )=
Sorry for the sudden announcement of my departure, allow me to explain.

Due to my upcoming exam, I'm not able to invest the time required to hold up an rp like this. You may have noticed my post rates dropping, and this is because of my upcoming exam.

If I were to remain, I would only be able to post once every couple of days, which holds the rp down.

I'm attempting to find some way to phase my characters out of the story without disrupting the plot for others.

I have no idea why Wraith would leave the RP, and will be questioning her on the matter.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience )=
Guys, sorry, but I'm going to have to leave the rp.
The weaknesses of vampires depends upon their bloodline. The different bloodlines function slightly differently.

Dracula's Bloodline is the most common. They are vulnerable to crosses, holy water, stakes to the heart and beheading. Burning them to a crisp will also kill them. Garlic and the like will do nothing to them. They rapidly regenerate damage and have a poison resistance far beyond that of humans, but they can still be put down by these things. Pretty much all vampires fall under this category, and as such you can generally assume this shit works.

Then there are the truly old vampires, Gods. They are so ancient, they were revered as deities by ancient civilizations. Most of them can only be harmed by symbols specific to their own religion, bound by special rituals to their religion, etc. To take on one of these vampires without having specifically researched their weaknesses is folly, and will get you killed. Almost all vampires older than Dracula are biologically dead, and as such unaffected by poison and suffocation.

There is also the bloodline of the Pale Lady, which stems from the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian Myth. These vampires are able to exert some form of control over their spawn, although the extent to which these functions depends on the vampire. Only Bedhivere and his lackeys are a part of this bloodline (as well as, obviously, the Pale Lady.) For more information on these mysterious vamps, you're going to have to go to Bedhivere.

Small database of vampires and weaknesses:

Magnus
A Draculan oldblood, although Magnus has removed his heart from his body and replaced it with a machine. This means that stakes will not harm him, unless you manage to find his original heart. Like many Draculan vampires, he has mild psychic capabilities. This means he is able to influence his opponents, creating mild illusions and performing acts such as Telepathy.

Bedhivere
As aforementioned, Bedhivere is the spawn of the Pale Lady. During the night, he is one of the most powerful vampires ever to walk the face of the earth, in sheer power he becomes unmatchable. During the day, however, he is no more powerful than a normal human, and as such if you catch him at this time he is easy to kill. Christian symbols will affect him, I'm unsure as to whether he is biologically alive or dead.

Gabriel
Thought to be one of the oldest vampires alive, Gabriel is his own bloodline. He is biologically dead, and far older than Christianity. He cannot be harmed by Christian symbols, and those of his bloodline must be killed through decapitation or a stake to the heart. Whilst he is physically unimpressive, he boasts the greatest psychic capabilities of all vampires. He is able to completely dominate lesser foes, shaping their perception of reality to his will. Throughout the entire history of the human race, nobody has managed to come even close to killing Gabriel, giving him his legendary status.

Lady Mo
A God vampire, Lady Mo is an ancient North American nature spirit. She is not harmed by Christian symbols, and can only be harmed by the ancient rituals used to bind and kill such spirits. Decapitating her will most likely also kill her, although up to this point nobody has been able to test this. She can transform into animals, dominate the weather, and exerts immense physical capabilities. She controls nature as her battlefield, and is most deadly when faced in the wild.

Several other ancient and powerful vampires exist not yet incorporated into this database, but most fall into one of the Bloodlines described above and should be killable through such methods. As the story progresses, new bloodlines may appear, either old or new. A new Bloodline is formed when the traits a vampire bestows upon it's kin vary so greatly from the original that it's a new 'type'. And, of course, if it grows big enough for anyone to give a shit.
Ummm..... Kurai, you do realize that the Purge (and Kami no Kage) don't work for the vampires, right? In fact, they're extemist vampire hunters who are prepared to kill anyone who prevents them from killing vamps.

I mean, it's possible I read your post wrong but it seems you're accusing Kami no Kage of collaborating with vampires, which would make no sense.
Yes, this one would make it far. She had a warrior's heart, and the determination to pull through. Perhaps a little humility would be in order, but that would come with battle, and defeat. She would face opponents she could not defeat, and in defeat she would find the strength to overcome them. Or she would fall to her own failures and die. Such was the fate of those who walked the warriors path: victory or death, there is no alternative.

[If you wish to hunt vampires, then hunt them in Brittain. If you wish to fight me, you will have to follow me to my prey. Or, of course, you could return to SOLDIER, be decomissioned, and replaced. It is your path to walk.]

And with this, the warrior left, leaving behind nothing but corpses, and a single woman.
@kishin asura
At which point you're going to need to find such a weapon, power it, and manage to hold him still long enough to fire it.

Although, such things can be found in the HCL Multiverse.
