Going to be honest, Evil Kami sounds so awesome right now.

Evil Kami took over a world filled with supers. She secretly spread mind-control through puppet govenments, and in one fell swoop, she took over global control. She has an army of thousands of mind-controlled slaves, and millions of normal soldiers. She isn't the official ruler, but rules through puppet figures and false respect. She is the ultimate puppet master, pulling all the strings, and never standing on the stage.

She's pretty awesome.

Extremely true, plus if you work for Kami there is literally no way out with out bending (breaking) some rules and even then she's still probably going to find you. She also has spiders, lots and lots of spiders... *shiver*

I get the feeling that Kami is a good Big Bad.

He could just be a former mercenary. Everyone seems to be joining the Surface Resistance. Of course, you could be a mercenary who works for food and supplies instead of money.

Jaquel makes a gun appear in his hand, his face straight and emotionless. "If it becomes necessary to fight, fleeing is not an option. We won't be able to-" This is about as far as Jaquel gets before the sports car turns around, and smashes him through a wall, crumpling the sports car into what resembles a giant tin can, crushed underfoot. A flash can be seen, before Captain Awesome is floating above the road. "Sorry to ruin your little rescue attempt, but I sensed you the moment you entered the city. Elysia, you should have remembered, nobody makes a move without me knowing it." Captain Awesome smiles, holding up a gloved hand, which is now glowing up, lightning crackling over the surface of his palm.
