Liz cursed as she was struck by the lightning and fell into the road her body turning into liquid as a car approached letting is pass over her harmlessly and she moved her liqiudfied self down a grate and into the sewers where she reformed her whole body and clothes. "That was boring." She spoke outloud to no one in particular before noticing she had left the cash on the surface and frowned but became truly depressed when she realized the bolt of lightning which struck her had destroyed her favorite headphones. In annoyance the girl grabbed the gun she was carrying the attempted to fire a shot at the wall but no bullet as fired as the girl chuckled and threw the gun to the side, she had purposely bought a empty gun to the robbery just to see if it would make the robbery more interesting but to no effect. Climbing out of the sewers Liz brushed the dirt off her clothes and looked around knowing the bolt of lighting came from the self proclaimed protector of the city so she planned to take the anger of her headphones breaking on him but she needed a way to find him so the best way she thought to attract his attention was to cause a scene which she initiated by turning into her water form and punching a passer by while watching the people around her run off screaming before going back to a solid body and awaited to see if he would appear so she would be able to shout at him.

Captain Awesome sighed, as he felt another commotion, and realized it was the same one from before. Either this was one lucky robber, which Awesome sincerely doubted, or it was a meta. That was just great. "Hey, Monkey Brain, I'm going to kick some punk meta's ass. Keep an eye on these two, will ya?" Awesome zapped away, moving just shy of the speed of light, appearing seemingly instantaneously, although Monkey Brain had gone through the repetitive effort of attempting to convince Awesome that it was not, in fact, teleportation. Appearing, he saw a girl he faintly recognized from a file Monkey Brain had shown him ages ago. He remembered her powers had something to do with liquid, although he really didn't care. He was the top meta in the city, and he'd never met anyone besides Abbadon who could so much as touch him. "Hey, new girl. You trying to cause a ruckus?"

I agree wholeheartedly that statement is so true however there has been talk of changing our measuring system to the metric. Because of that it is now required that we learn it

Bullshit. I have more American friends than you guys, and the only ones that know the metric system are those I had to teach it. And one who taught it to himself. I don't honestly believe what you're hearing is anything more than an idea, and no significant changes will be made.
Get well soon, and don't worry about it.

While that sounds awesome I'm really only interested in getting rid of fractions, I can't count the number of arguments I've had with various people who wanted me to use them. It's not that I don't know how it's just that I choose not to. I would much rather have to use centimeters and ect. rather than inches because the customary (or whatever it's called) is really stupid, I don't like that there are twelve inches in a foot or three feet in a yard there is just no consistency but that's not nearly as bad as quarts, pints, and the like.

Isn't pints just for bear? And yeah, the decimal system is more logical, and easy on calculation.

The difference between America and the Netherlands is that Americans are pretty self centered, we are pretty bad at making choices based on the true common good but we are fun at parties and we are the theme of some parties. I lived with an relative in Germany for a while and there were a couple of American parties that I was invited to. The Netherlands is a cool place, like the rest of Europe. I'm not totally sure what it is but it seems like most of the world has something that America lacks. Maybe we hate our government too much?

I don't mean to insult anyone, but I think that it's not something you LACK, per se. I think it's something you have too much of. Pride. The Americans refuse to conform to the rest of the world. This can be seen in your measuring systems from distance to temperature. Also, your culture is more open to the individual hero, as well as the use of violence, which can be seen in your media, as well as your crime rates.
BTW, I'm giving Kami a nerf. In his human form, he can now be hit by physical force. Just to make him a little bit less godlike.
Captain held up his hand. "Hold on a moment." An alarm had been activated. A robbery. He locked onto the robber's electrical signature with ease. Sending a bolt through Hope's power system, a blast of electricity exploded from the ground, temporarily wreathing the robber in light. In fact, some might have called it Divine Judgement, and so it did appear, as the robber fell to the floor, dead, her heart and brain fried. Fortunately for her, Captain Awesome had no idea she was made of water, and all the damage she suffered was a large amount of pain. Also, the police were on their way to retrieve the cash.
"Now, let's get back to business. You're a bad guy. You ruined people's lives for a living in your own city, and you'd do anything for a bit of coin. You killed, stole, and framed others for your deeds. You'd take anything we had that was worth anything, and make back to Fear. And then I'm sure you'd be happy to close the portals." Captain Awesome blasts Aisyle, smiling, as the man is hit by extreme voltage, and thrown to the floor, spasming. Normal lightning wouldn't have such effect. Then again, normal lightning wasn't controlled to specifically target the nervous system. "Now I think you'll be much easier to transport." Captain Awesome sat back, waiting for the cops to arrive. There was no way he was carrying these two.
You know, unions in America may be crappy, but here in the Netherlands they do a lot of good.
Sorry, I'm crappy at reading PMs. I never remember to do so.
....... well that was cryptic. Are all the Americans hiding some massive union-related conspiracy?
