I didn't realize I had a reputation ^^
I'm sorry, I believe the one time we rpd together you were forced to drop out.
Awesome took one look at the headhones. Really? This kid was throwing her life away for a pair of headphones. This only reinforced Awesome's idea that he was the only sane person around. Everyone else never knew what to do. It was a good thing he was here to keep order. "Well, I think I'll go with wrath." Awesome appeared in front of the girl, smiling, as he casually poked her forehead. "Come on then. Allow me to show you the difference between you and me. Take a punch. Hit me with everything you've got."
Yes, they always were staring at your character. You're the only strange girl in the corner.

Name: "Saphire"
Age: 19
Gender: female
Ability: Saphire is able to project a field of mental interference around her, allowing her to create illusions, create certain moods, and make small changes in people's attittude, which, while useless in combat, can easily make her well-liked and can manipulate others. She can also dominate lesser minds, such as those of insects, with sufficient exposure, turning them into her permanent servants. Dominated creatures exert the same energy field as Saphire does, and are permanently linked to Saphire, allowing her to use them to increase her range beyond a meter or two. The fields can overlap, which increases her power, meaning that the more minds she dominates and gets in a single area, the more powerful she can become. However, any damage inflicted upon a dominated creature translates into psychic pain for Saphire due to the same mental link that allows Saphire to control them, and see through their eyes. In sufficient quantities, this mental pain could potentially kill her.
Appearance:

Personality: Saphire is a great actress, easily hiding her true feelings to convince those around her that she is something she isn't. She's manipulative and sneaky. She'll take what she wants by any means necessary, and use anyone she has to to get it. She's suspicious of others, believing that nobody can be trusted and allowing nobody to get too close.
Bio: Saphire grew up in rural America, in a highly religious area. Her village was full of devout believers, rejecting modern science in the favor of their faith. Saphire and her little sister never spoke, as both shared the power of mental connection. They created fantastic worlds in their imagination, always playing together, and refused to be moved outside of one another's psychic range. Eventually, Saphire learned to create small illusions, and wanted to show this off to their parents, as she'd never managed to do something like that before. However, her parents, rejecting the concept of mutants, instead believed that Saphire had, in fact, been demonically possessed, and was showing powers she was not meant to have.
Her parents tried everything on Saphire. Excorcism, re-baptism, forced prayer, beatings, nothing worked. They were desperate, attempting to drive the demon out of their child with brute force, beating Saphire half to death in the process. Saphire now remembers little of those days, her mind blocking out the memories for her. However, her back is still covered in scars that she will let nobody see. What she does remember is when her parents tried to bring back their child with kindness. At the end, when their parents were thinking of resorting to beating once more, Saphire had desperately tried to convince her parents not to do it. And while doing so, she told them of how little Alice could speak in her mind as well......
The beatings were too much for Alice. She died, and her parents were arrested. Saphire would have gone to an orphanage, however, her powers were discovered when a cop tried to push her into the van, and she filled his mind with her own pain. She was sent off to the enclosure for mutants, another prison, if a gilded one. To Saphire, it was simply more people who could never see herself as a human being. Of course, she herself wasn't sure if she would ever be able to either, after having her demonism beaten into her so badly.

I'm in on this. CS will be up not soon, but just after that.

...... that isn't how evolution works....... but oh well, I'll roll with it. A bullshit "super gene" can always be invented if the need arises for a scientific explanation.
I'll have my CS up soon, and will hopefully be able to join this.
George was leaning forward towards the strange girl, going on tiptoe as if it would give him a better view. He leaned forward, although refraining from touching her, or speaking. Clementine, much more shy, was instead sitting in the corner with her doll, looking at her older brother, and wondering when he would return his attention to her. It seemed that any second Goerge would topple over into Byakuren's lap, as far as he was leaning forward. However, this small disaster was averted as the sound of a large motorized vehicle filled the air, approaching fast. The soldiers, as well as everyone else, fell silent, unsure whether to hide, or to cheer. Then, with a crashing and an inhuman screech, the vehicle came to a halt, as a male death scream filled the air, an agonized final howl of pain.
The sound continued, as several of the soldiers grabbed their weapons, and went to the entrance, looking determined. However, a man with caramel-colored skin stood up, hissing for the men to get back down. "Silent! You'll lead them right to us. We can't save anyone right now, and even if we did, there would be more of us to feed than before. We can't all die to save a stranger. We don't even know who might be on that car!" The men hesitated. Another pushed forward regardless, but his comrades, put an arm on his shoulder, and he halted. The men looked at one another, unsure. There could be hundreds of beasts out there, and they'd all be running to their doom. "We should just sit this out, we have enough trouble as it is!"
I'm going to be giving you guys a choice. Here comes the first of many. Choose what you will, the consequences will be dire either way. However, your choices will influence the group's chances of survival, as well as the risk to your own lives. Decide carefully......
Deus looked over to Yang and grinned. "What's to hide? Are you, perhaps, a spy? I wouldn't be surprising if the Game Master had planted someone among us he could use to influence our plans, and more than any of us, you HAVE been arguing for us to follow the shadow....." Deus was not convinced of this argument, of course. He was a being of extreme empathy, and had felt nothing from Yang that indicated an ulterior motive. Suspicion, slight fear, annoyance, surprise, all normal emotions in this situation. Nothing like the vervousness of a traitor, or the intent of a lie. Not many lies could escape Deus, and he was confident in his ability to spot them wherever they might be. "One of the reasons I'm suggesting this little trip is so we may all trust one another. We all seem perfectly able to get over the fact that Victor here is evil, Beatrice is evil, and yet most of you seem to be relatively good, or at least not malicious."
"I can also assure everyone that if an unjust fight occurs, I will personally intervene." Deus smiled. The threat wouldn't hold much weight, he knew, but everyone underestimated the little guy. He was confident that with the charge of forty souls under his hat, he would be able to outmagic Victor, especially if he was fueled by the man's endless pride. Beatrice would be a threat, but Deus sincerely doubted that she would care much for the beliefs and motivations of others. Yang was a mystery, but his magical aura wasn't massive enough for Deus to doubt his superior ability, especially if the situation were heated, and people were to get all angry and emotional. Lastly, this was HIS palace, after all, which gave him another advantage, and a quick escape route if necessary.
Well, I'm attempting to create a little action in his/her/it's absence, but it would be nice to get the main story rolling along.
