I haven't seen anything of 5.0. Honestly speaking, I didn't even know there WAS a 5.0 of D&D. I'm currently using SW, an alternative system which runs much faster. Due to more flexible and less complex rules, turns take a lot less long. Furthermore, it encourages roleplaying in a way D&D has never done. You should try it out if you're DMing a group.

I know, but in America its weird to use the metric system on a regular basis, most people switch between the two but they don't really understand how it works besides centimeters and meters. I once was talking about the obscene length of something and I used kilometers instead of miles and I got the weirdest look from the people I was talking to.
That's not that awkward, just compare it to a truly awkward moment, and it's easy to brush off.

Maybe, but I doubt it'll stay, and it'll be limited to a small area. A large-scale change isn't coming anytime soon.

Really? You're going to preach the D&D bible at me?
D&D 3.5 was a great system, but 3.6 was slightly improved. 4.0 made it all too wargame-y, removing the uniqueness of the classes and the overall feel. However, I found the rules were much easier to use to get non-gamers to understand them, as they were more clearly presented, and the GM's guide was just plain awesome.
Meh. Everyone has guilty pleasures. Mine is probably To Love Ru.
