Bingo! Cronicles of Narnia is my personal favorite.

Just The Wizard the Witch and the Wardrobe, or the other books as well? Because to me, personally, I liked the first book the most.

Herro.

Remember when that was Tyki's signature greeting?

And hello everyone, I'm back!
Could people just follow Deus into the hole? So that stuff can happen? I mean, the GM appears to be absent, so you know...... I have no idea what else to do.
Damn, am I the only fantasy reader here? Okay...... I'll go read in the corner now.......

Moonbeam stood, bent over, panting. There was no where she could find help, except...the portals? She didn't want to go back in that direction that night. She found a nook and curled up in it, setting up an illusion of a dumpster around her. She fell into a fitful sleep, feeling alone and scared.

As morning arrives, you wake up from a nightmare about spiders devouring you. However, as you open your eyes, you instantly know something's wrong. You can feel it around you, saturating the air. You can see polished marble floors and walls, with golden pillars and great archways, a glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling. However, you can sense illusions all around you, everywhere. You could be in the same place as you were before, or somewhere completely different. Around you stand five men, each dressed in the expressionless silver mask and black trenchcoat, with the red drop insignia. However, even with these threatening presences so close, your attention is soon drawn towards a mind, the cause of the illusions being fed into your brain. Something vast, a hundred minds as one, all around you, surrounded by this hive mind. A presence that feeds you lies that come as naturally as breathing, or moving.
"Hello, darling. I think it's high time we have a little chat. You did a number on poor Ghastly the other night, now didn't you?" Kami smiles down at you, dressed in a complete black velvet gown inlaid with ruby teardrops, an odd golden circlet upon her head holding an onyx the size of an eyeball. Her nails are long and sharp, painted red, her high-heeled shoes the picture of elegance. Her blonde hair and perfect features are almost inhumanly beautiful, and you have no doubt this is not her true appearance. In her left hand is a glass of wine, which she slowly swirls, looking down at you with an imperious, covetous gaze. "However, I'm a generous and forgiving woman. And I must say, your skill with illusions is quite impressive."

((Why am I not surprised.))Elysia clapped a hand over her mouth, Light's insanity must have reached a breaking point much faster than she had imagined. She wandered the halls of the building, she felt like a ghost, there was a trail of tears behind her. She wanted to lay down and die but she continued walking as if she had to, her subconscious forcing her to see what she could do. This was the reason why she had chosen so long ago to lock away her powers, the reason why she was sent to the asylum in the first place, the reason why she escaped the asylum. The sadness was soon replaced by anger, she was not the culprit but she would take the blame. Light would need to be punished, a grin crept upon her face as she walked back to her room. She picked a nurse up off the floor and laid the woman on the bed, and began a soul transfer. While it was more painful than the first time it was even more satisfying especially since she did not faint and was able to admire her handiwork. Light would wake up in a dying body, she would be forced to watch as the body rotted around her soul. When the body eventually became unable to hold Light's soul she would niether pass on nor would she rejoin Elysia and Light, she would be in forced limbo possibly forever.

((Because you know I'm just THAT EVIL. Aisyle wasn't the only one Kami got her hands on.....))
Suddenly, there's a shout, and Captain Awesome appears in a flash of lightning. "You bitch! You killed them all!" He looks at you, wild-eyed, already crackling with energy. However, he's pale, and you can see blood leaking from his ears and nose. He nearly died in the explosion, and isn't nearly up to full fightning strength.
The streets of Hope are empty of all life, both crime and law enforcement having been made redundant by Captain Awesome's presence. However, in the distance, you can see a bright flash of white, engulfing the Awesome Tower. In the meantime, the screams behind you have died out,

((it's not infinite, if you were to use something from a different tree (like a sword or life magic) then it'd pass right through, but this thing is deffinantly from the death tree (don't back talk me about my own magic system) so it should be canceled out)) the shell heals his neck as he back flips out of the way, giving up on his pacifist tactic he starts to combine arcanums into varying and elaborate shades and tints as he dodges and weaves, healing close scrapes

((And I'm telling you, this thing has NOTHING to do with Death. Don't talk to me about my characters. The only connection between Nightmare and Death is that he's going to kill you. Also, being able to cancel out an element is an infinite defense.))
The shadowy figure seems to follow your every move, slicing and dicing, and you find that as your energy starts to run out, it becomes steadily stronger, it's influence on your mind becoming greater with every touch. You can feel your body attempting to physically forcing you to flee, fear filling you involuntarily each time the being touches you. You recognize that somehow, this being is connected to the girl, obviously. And each time it touches you, the girl's fear washes through you.
((Unfortunately for you, this being has nothing to do with the Death tree. That's the Darkness you're thinking of. Also, no omnipotence. I'll accept a ridiculously powerful defense, but not an infinite one.))
"The girl uncertainly reaches out towards the teddy bear. However, before she can take it, a spike of shadow rips through it, and Micheal finds himself once more being sliced into, shadows piercing the shield with ease as they snaked into his body, heading for his vital organs. The girl backs away, and once more starts screaming, as a shadowy blade opens up Micheal's neck, blood spattering all over her.
The claw slowly rips through the arcanum, pain spreading from the point where the shell of magic is pierced. However, as you produce the teddy bear, the girl opens her eyes, and stops screaming. The mysterious dark being seems to shimmer, the claw stopping it's advance. Slowly, the girl seems to be starting to calm down, although she's still shivering, and looking at you uncertainly.
