"I see you managed to keep yourself from making a scene at the ceremony.". Was Marcus's father's way of greeting them. "That shows progress." He was a tall broad man, with dark reddish brown hair streaked with silver and frown lines eyched into his face. Marcus's mother, with whom he shared more similarities, was slender and tall with her dark hair in a bun and her sever face in a shocked sort of expression. Marcus said nothing in reply to his father, just grinded his teeth and looked down. This, more clearly then words, was an attempt at avoiding confrontation.

He scowled, once more setting his drink aside and slipping his hands into his pockets before turning to face them.

Marcus straightened up after shooing a burbling Tucker away, ruffling the boy's mope of reddish brown hair before looking skeptically back at Rin. "are you physically capable of lady like ness?" he teased,
Marcus mumbled something into his glass, returning her hug before nearly tripping over her when his nephew Tucker tackled his leg. It was a game the two year old had invented out of boredom and he was getting rather good at it to the annoyance of his mother. "I appreciate it," he said to Rin, setting his glass down to free himself of tiny fingers. "never thought I'd say it but I think I miss the uniforms to. Although you look good out of one."
"thank you, pusher" Marcus said gratefully, accepting the drink and tasting it experimentally. He used Rin's appearance as a chance to slip away from a clingy cousin. Everyone there seemed to think Rin was his girlfriend and it was the perfect excuse when trying to escape, so he used it often. Like at that moment. "sorry for dragging you here,"
