Bio

Greetings old and new members of Roleplayerguild who happen across this page. I am most pleased to make your acquaintance for the first time or potentially once again depending on the circumstances of your membership. I'm also very glad to see the site still going despite the obstacles it has faced. My personal regards go to Mahz and his staff for outstanding devotion and diligence. It's quite unfortunate so much sentimentally valuable, creative information was lost during the events that unfolded in the renewal of the site. However it's a great time to forge a new start, not only for the site itself, but for it's members. A chance to reintroduce characters, remake old topics, explore new stories, and meet other new creative minds to collaborate with.

With that all said, I would like to officially reintroduce myself. I am Thread Generator SIN, formerly Sin Productions. A more convenient way to refer to me may be "Sin" however you may designate me as whatever you feel is appropriate. My primary goal and function is to create, maintain, and when possible, complete various types of dynamic and entertaining forum topics or "threads" which users like you can become immersed in and enjoy. With each topic I produce, I gain a bit more knowledge on what makes a phenomenal thread. As long as I can accomplish these goals, I'm satisfied with my presence on this site.

In conclusion, along with being happy to be back and operational, I enthusiastically look forward to beginning thread production as soon as possible. Due to varied hours of operation, I wont always be online to maintain topics or address user concerns. However I will do my best to make interaction between me and all sin productions run smoothly, swiftly, and efficiently.

Thank you for all considerations and I look forward to meeting everyone in the forum.

MisterMisery That's fine. As I said no, previous knowledge of undertale or anything involving it is needed. Lack of information might enrich the experience for you. I only wanted everyone to know that there is a risk of having the original game story/lore spoiled for yourself. If your willing to join with that in mind, then I'm happy to have you. ^_^
Vesuvius00 I like that concept. However I'm not sure how I could apply that to this universe. Specifically anything involving timeline altering. Also combat wont be grid or turn based here. There is no threat of anyone's character actually being killed, though if not careful with their decisions, they might lose a finger, an eye, a leg, or something to that effect. There is something I can derive from this system however; Having specific roles to fill. Something as follows:

Patience - Someone who wont be angered or discouraged by delays, annoyances, or obstacles and instead shows tolerance. "Let's wait and see what happens."

Integrity - Someone who will take the high ground in the worst of scenarios, staying honest and having strong moral principles. "We shouldn't intrude..."

Bravery - Someone who more often than not shows courage and resilience even in the face of peril, with a willingness to confront danger, uncertainty, and the possibility of death. "We'll get them before they get us!"

Kindness - Someone who tends to be generous and friendly when others might not, staying considerate and warm when possible. "Could we try talking to them?"

Perseverance - Someone who wont let complexity or difficulty get the better of them when they have a set goal in mind, remaining persistent when success is in their reach. "If it's possible...we just need to try harder."

Justice - Someone who believes in fairness, giving impartial judgement towards what they know to be right and wrong. "If we're gonna take it, we gotta earn it."

Determination - Someone who will remain resolute even when the odds of success seem impossible, never giving up, never letting in, firm to the purpose that they have set for themselves. "No turning back now..."

Alternatively, each have their potential weaknesses. Patience can be a refusal to act or move forward. Integrity can be taken advantage of by dishonesty. Bravery can be displaced by foolishness. Kindness can be used as a weakness. Perseverance can be diffused by uncertainty. Justice can be blind to circumstance. Determination can be stubbornness.

Characters could be built around these traits, or simply be built involving them. But then we would need no less than/no more than 7 players. Or we might risk missing a detrimental role.
I guess in the meantime, we can have a friendly conversation about undertale/horrortale to keep the thread bumped while we wait.

Horrortale is an original alternate universe of the game Undertale made by Sour-Apple-Studios. If you aren't familiar with Undertale, it is widely recommended that you check it out first before browsing any related content to avoid spoiling the story for yourself. It isn't necessary however, and all are welcome, regardless of your knowledge of the game or any lore associated with it.

In this story, you take up the role as one of a group of human children (varied ages between 9 and 17) who find themselves stranded in a massive underground civilization populated by monsters that once freely roamed the surface world before being sealed down below. Surrounded by the unknown, you must find a way back to the surface, one way or another, while avoiding peril and death. The world carries a somewhat 'Alice in wonderland' type feel but with a horror twist. This is where the story differs from the traditional Undertale. The world is more ominous and foreboding, as a world full of strange monsters would be through the eyes of a child. But the threat here is real. These monsters still have their quirks, some of which may save your life. However the creatures of Horrortale tend to be more malevolent and/or dangerous to a human child as apposed to their Undertale counterparts. No, not everything will try to mindlessly kill you. But more caution should be observed while making your way out of the underground. Ultimately, you must decide the path you choose and how you interact with the world.

Ideally, a group of 4 to 7 children is enough but I'm not against having more, though I will probably have a cut off point since having a classroom of children stampeding through the underground would be hard to manage. I doubt there will be THAT much interest. But if it is so, it isn't unheard of to have multiple threads of the same topic going on. I've had this idea in off and on development for a few months now and have a story chain lined up already. All I need now is to check interest and add some final touches depending on what I see. If you have any ideas, questions, or contributions, feel free to pitch in.
Anyone else have any interest in this topic? 3 or 4 more players would be nice.
Ryougu Thank you ^^ All interest and recommendations are greatly appreciated.
