Forum: Casual Interest Checks
Chieftain's Name: Ulf "Jotun Blod" Grimmson
Chieftain's Appearance: Male, 29. Tall with a stocky weight lifter build, Ulf is a hulking man standing at 6'8", with a menacing stare and the strength to back it up. His hair is a platinum blonde, long and straight, the bangs kept in place with a headband. The beard, fashioned into a goatee with two braids hanging down.
Chieftain's Title: Huscarl
Chieftain's Interests: Honor and Battle, Family and Homeland (I know you wrote up 6, but none of the other interests fit my character's personality and I feel like the protection of Family and Homeland is a valid reason.)
Chieftain's Favored Weapon: Two Handed Axe
Homeland: Norrland, born in a small village in Norrbotten
Brief History: Ulf's history begins with the color of his hair. Most of the people born in the village all had either dark brown or red hair, so when Ulf was born with extremely light, platinum blonde hair, the villagers found it stange. The adults would jokingly tease about his hair, but it was the children who were the nastiest about it. They would call Ulf names, bully him, beat him to a pulp, all because of his hair color. Only one person every truly loved and respected him enough to help him, his older brother Grim, eldest son to his family. Grim would comfort Ulf, telling his brother that the reason his hair color was so light was because he had been kissed by Sif while in the womb. Any time the young brother was in danger, Grim would always be there, ready to fight and protect Ulf.
At the early age of 6, Ulf's father died during a village raid, his mother Brunhilde had died giving child birth. The rest of the family left was the youngest brother Bjorn, age 2, middle brother Sven, age 8 and the eldests Grim and his sister Ingrid age 12. 3 years later Bjorn died from sickness. During these harsh times, through both the deaths and the bullying, Ulf looked up to his older brother for guidance and protection. Even when at 14, Grim decided to leave the family, Ulf followed him, a loyal shadow to his elder brother. The two of them joined the Jarl's army to fight for him and under his cruel command Ulf grew into a strong fighter, maturing rapidly, while his brother Grim proved himself as a leader of man. When the men became tired of the Jarl's reign, Grim led a revolt, Ulf following him at his side, and overthrew the Jarl, Grim taking his place. From that day on Ulf swore his loyalty and protection to his brother Jarl, he had protected Ulf for so long, it was time to return the favor.
Six years have passed since that day and the province has prospered tremendously under Grim's able rulership. Grim's diplomatic skills earned him much respect from other Jarls, but for those who considered him to be an enemy, Ulf would quickly strike them down. Since the day he swore loyalty to the Jarl, no enemy has ever been able to kill him, and Ulf will never let anyone dare do so. When the day came that Baldr delevered Grim a summons to sail west, Ulf never hesitated once to board the ship with him, remaining at his side like the loyal shadow he had always been.

Yea that makes sense that you don't want to completely clutter up the OOC, but their really should be a chatroom of some kind with the tabbage, I know there's the actual chatroom, but yea.
