"It sounds like fair bargain to me, now, enough business, lets drink." The large Nord chuckled to himself as he and the Argonian woman walked back to the inn, escaping the cold and relaxing as the fire and cooking pits radiated heat. Brannus took a seat in the corner of the tavern, he didn't mind whatever drink she might get, as long as it could warm the blood. He took a moment to survey the rest of the patrons, for such a ghost of a town, the inn was rather busy that evening, all sorts were there, Bretons, Orcs, fellow nords, there was a wood elf dressed in the robes of the college, a High elf seemed to make his residence within the right most room, and along with Walks-in-Light, it seemed all they were missing was a cat to create a microcosm of Tamriel.
A hardy laugh rang from behind the Nord's helmet at the merchant's words. "Oh, I understand, such 'favors' tend not to be worth what I'm giving in the first place. However if you were so inclined, after this transaction I wouldn't be opposed to the two of us exchanging one 'favor' for another." A couple of the other deserters joined their leader in a short laugh, before he spoke again. "Either way, it sounds like a good trade, Falkreath provides for the men, but not for our forges. I'd also be very gracious to have some of those more... elusive goods that you spoke of. After all the Empire no longer holds this land under their regulation. I'm certain our collective company can handle the exchange and loading, your man there does seem to know a thing or two about the merchants trade. While they take care of that, why don't I buy you something to fend off the chill while you're still in port? We can celebrate the beginning of a hopefully long and beneficial partnership." The four accompanying Brannus grumbled softly to themselves upon hearing Brannus' order, but a quick, silent glare from their leader silenced them. Once more the tarp was draped over the goods, protecting it from the flurry of snow and ice that assailed the entirety of that desolate Hold. Cargo secure, they lead the hourses back toward the town, and towards Walks-In-Light's ship.
Brannus chuckled, the Argonian was no novice, nor was she a fool. "I can assure you, miss, everything here is as it should be, I've no use for trinkets and gems, and the wood provides us with more than enough fresh meat and water. Now, as you said, let us not stand here in the cold for too long, the chill must be much worse against your scales, and many beasts are fond of roaming the snow. So, let us talk of payment, what are you prepared to give in exchange for these goods?" The snow and glacial winds battered against the large nord's armor ice crystals forming over colder steel. Snow began to cake the many pelts and furs Brannus wore draped over his shoulders, and the wyrm skull mounted upon his right shoulder-guard. The smell of the raw meat and decaying flesh were all that could be found amid sterile snow and ice, their decay and rot slowed by the cold, ice holding some of the mutilated bodies together, slowly cracking and shifting as the chill began to fill each and every crevice of necrotic flesh. Wolves could be heard, howling in the distance, as was common of the tundra, they seemed to join the great winds in song, crying out for blood, to take their prey together with claw and frost.
The large Nord turned from the fire to face the Argonain woman, standing to greet the merchant, and brought his fist to his chest, a simple salute, but appropriate for one who lead men and mer. His men followed his example, saluting the newcomers, before resting their hands at their sides, ready to draw their weapons if anything should go wrong. Brannus looked over the Argonian who matched his great height, sizing up the many curves and contours of her body, he had to admit, rather stunning, confidence was always attractive. "I am Brannus, I take it you are Walks-In-Light? Its a pleasure to finally meet you. Now, if you'll just follow me, my men are waiting with the goods I promised." It was a short walk back to the carriage, a far enough way that it would not be noticed or actively pursued by the local authorities. Motioning for the Orc and Redguard to move aside, the warlord pulls the tarp from the cart, revealing piles of pelts, venison, jewels, jewelry, and all manner of pilfered wines, goods, and other necessities. Opposite these more typical goods, was a small pile of bodies, toppled upon one another in various stages of mutilation, decay, and composure. "Browse my wares, there's plenty of fresh water, drink, and meat to provide you and your crew with more than enough provisions."
Brannus sat in the sole tavern of the, or rather what was left of the city of Winterhold, he and the four men he had taken with him on this little excursion gathered round the fire pit in the center of the room. The furs draped over his armor began to drip, the snow-clad pelts beginning to thaw as the frost which covered the metal plates encasing him began to dissipate. One of his cohorts, an imperial clad in fur, and what remained of his legion armor, shivered and cursed at the chill. "This damn province, why'd we have to come all the way up to the middle of a glacial field! Why don't those mages do something useful for a change and find a way to fend off the cold in this gods forsaken place?" Another Nord smacked the back of his head, his iron gauntlet giving a loud thud when it made contact with the imperial's leather helm. "Quit your bitching and just get some mead, you damn Imperials are all the same, can't handle a little nip in the air, almost as bad as those damn lizards always whining about their scales and cold blood." Brannus paid them no mind as they argued and squabbled, and after warming himself on the fire, returned to meet the rest of his men, who stood outside guarding the horses and cart. The cargo was covered by a large burlap tarp, strung tight over the wooden frame of the cart to protect its contents from the harsh elements. A large, lightly armored Orc, and a Redguard clad in both furs and steel, stood guard, weapons sheathed and hands never too far from them. The Orc gave Brannus a nod, and grumbled. "What exactly are we doing here, sir? We went straight across the whole province, we should be back at the Keep, we coul-" "Why we are here is not your concern, the fact that I told you we were to come here is what matters, whelp. Now, be patient, we shan't need to stay out in the cold for much longer, and we will return to the Keep soon enough. But if the cold is too much or you, I'll be glad to remedy that, just a quick slice along the throat, and soon it'll all be numb." The Orc decided it best not to respond to that.
Yes, now all we need do is wait for the GM. Maybe one of us should apply for that co-gm position they mentioned in the opening post, would help to make things run a bit smoother, and quicker~
Robie, I have several concerns about your app, but as it is the admin's decision on most of it, I would simply like to make the point that the Thalmor-lead Aldmeri Dominion is less than 200 years old, which goes against a lot of your bio.
Another point I'd like to make, is the fact that Altmer believe in eugenics and selective breeding, an Altmer raised in the summerset isles would sooner die than allow their superior breeding to be ruined in such a way.
I like that idea so that is what we will, replace your class section with the skills you are good at, with a description of them so we will know what they are. Sound good all?
Sounds like a good idea to me~
Well why do we need any sort of system at all? Its a roleplay, and not even an RPG. These people don't live their lives going through a menu to change their gear or choose which perks they'll possess. Its all based on personal experience. I mean if we're going to use a system like that, we might as well go all the way and add in dice rolls for combat. Rose gets it, ha~
I've not played all the games, but i've read most of the lore, which for rp purposes is more important in my mind.
