Shout out to a fellow Cap fan Jones!

When Captain America throws his shield, all those who oppose his shield must yield!
I'd be interested in this.

My character would be a very troubled warrior who has been tormented by his past for many years. His suffering has turn him into a shell of his former self, but the soul that comes into him would either try to redeem him or corrupt him even more - not sure yet.
...and if you do put one up I may give it a read. Had a character in mind for a group RP.
I feel better now, still gotta go back to the hospital soon, but I'm better. May get around to reading the previous posts, then post a new post.

As for 'Polly', as long as you stay within character you may control his actions. He's a ruthless, bloodthirsty beast who wants to pounce on whoever he thinks looks the tastiest. and at the time, he thought Dasmira looked rather tasty.
Had surgery recently, ain't wanted to do much since then. Might do something on here later, but my first priority is Under Deep, and I'm not even sure when I'll do that one.

Assuming someone wanted to co-host to move things along for the time being I would allow that.
Sorry guys, still here, but I just had surgery and haven't been in the mood for much of anything. Not sure when I will post again.

Don't be afraid to share it!
Still here, but been busy. Will try to make an IC when possible.
I'm still here, just so you know, haven't read the latest posts though. Been busy.

I just want to say that I have given two subtle references about how to enter Under Deep and if I remember correctly only two characters in the RP have noticed them, but they didn't realize what they were there for. They're very subtle.

Hint: It has nothing to do with the keep. That door is impenetrable and there's no way you're entering it from where you guys are.
I want to host a table-top roleplay but I need some help. First, I need you to answer a question; second I need your comments on the system I want to use.

Question: Are there any dedicated online apps that support custom maps, character sheets, and dice rolls or what? Like pen-and-paper roleplaying online. I could search on Google, but I figure you guys would know the best of the best (and free).

The system won't be overly complex. It's going to be very similar to HeroScape, but it's not HeroScape. Each character has 5 vital statistics and 20 points to spend amongst them:
[/b]Life[/b]: How much life your have. When this hits 0 you are killed.
Move: How many spaces you can move. This is hindered by water and elevation.
Range: How many spaces away you can attack. So if your range was 5 you can attack up to 5 spaces away. All melee-based characters have 1 range.
Attack: Your base attack. When you attack another character, you roll the dice and add it to your base attack. If you manage to score a higher attack you will inflict 1 wound on the target.
Defense: Your base defense. When you are attacked, you roll the dice and add it to your base defense. If you manage to score a number equal to or greater than the attacker you successfully defend against the attack.

Now that's the most basic form. On your turn you simply move your figure, then attack, but both of those are completely optional. You'll also be including a name and short description as well (pictures of the characters are welcome too). But in HeroScape each character could be unique because of its Special Abilities. Special Abilities could 'break' the rules, such as 'Flying' which allows you to ignore elevation/water and pass over other characters without becoming engaged. They also enhance nearby allies, allow the use of special attacks, among other things. Each character can have up to 4 special abilities.

Also of note is Engagement Rules, Height Advantage, and Fall Damage. If you move next to an opposing character you are engaged; if you move away from this character you risk the chance of sustaining an instant wound. If you are on higher ground than other characters you add +1 to your attack and defense; 10+ levels add +3 to attack and defense. If you jump off of elevation that is to high you can take fall damage which decreases your life.

I'm also considering having Character Traits. These are terms like the character's race, personality, and class. In HeroScape, certain abilities only applied to character's with specific traits. As an example, instead of a character giving +1 attack to adjacent allies, they may provide +3 attack to adjacent elves. Or perhaps a Warlord character provides bonuses to Soldier characters, and so on and so forth.
