This here roleplay could go a lot of different ways, but I would reckon the most likely route is that everyone will be getting acquainted with each other. Perhaps a posse forms soon after?

For now, the saloon is simply "The Saloon".
IC posted.

I can honestly say I wrote it on the go and did not revise it as I should have. But things might be getting busy for me here soon, so I gotta do what I gotta do.
Early morning...

"Yornley, huh? Doesn't look like much. Do you reckon the folks are friendly?" A young girl stood at the edge of a ridge. She was teasing herself, slowly leaning forward to look down below. Had a gust of wind blown through the land she may as well have fell right off. Out in the distance she could see the town of Yornley. It consisted of a single main road with a series of buildings constructed around it, as well as a few smaller roads leading to a few other buildings located off the main road.

"If you were expecting a big city, you might as well head in the opposite direction; northeast to be exact." A man was not to far from her, saddling up a pair of horses and fixing the belongings so they would not fall out on their trip.

"I didn't expect it to be a big city... I just... you'd think that if gold miners stopped in the area they'd do with some fixin' up the place, you know? But no, just another muddied, boring town, where everything is made of wood. I don't get it."

The man sighed, a bit annoyed at the girl's seemingly constant chatter. But he couldn't complain. He was the reason she was here, after he allowed her to join him on the expedition. What a mistake, he thought to himself, then again, I suppose I'd have wanted the same treatment. He didn't know what exactly, but there was something about her. Something that made him feel like his old self again, when the only thing that mattered was getting a hard day's work done. Could it be that she... no, he shook his head to dismiss the thoughts. He tied the final knot on the horse to secure the drinking flask and looked over at the girl, "you ready to git on with it?"

Later that morning...

It was the same old thing. Another settlement built to exploit the gold miners who traveled across the frontier. There was the saloon, just as big as the others. It had to be big, especially to accommodate the colorful folks who needed a place to rest. The whores inside invited the men within its walls, and the saloon-keep smiled as the cash came flowing in. There was a general store, selling food and other such supplies, no doubt stocked up by the surrounding farms and ranches. You had your doctor's office, for anyone fixing for some remedies or questions of the sickly nature. It was a somewhat functioning town of people who were just trying to get by.

"Stay close to me, Lillie, and let me do the talkin', you here?" The man yanked on a rope tied up to the girl's horse, pulling her up closer. There was no telling what the folks in this town would be up to, as he had never been. He was as much a virgin to this town as any other place he had never been. But it was all the same, to him anyway.

"I'm right behind you, sheesh, John. Let's just go to the saloon and get acquainted with-"

"Go to the saloon? Get acquainted? Well ain't you the frontierswoman? Let me feel the town out first, get a sense of how these people are." Lillie rolled her eyes and sighed. Sometimes John just seemed to do unnecessary things. She'd have strutted right into the saloon, popped a few questions off the barman, and carried on her merry way. Then again, she was only twelve years old. "Tell you what," John began, looking up at a two-story structure entitled 'The Holly Hotel', "hitch the horses there, we'll get a room. You'll be safe there, for a little while anyways. I'm gonna get in touch with a few of the locals and see what I can find out."

"What," Lillie exclaimed quiet loudly. "This is such bullshit! I want to come with you-"

"Hey, watch your damn mouth, girl, you're eleven for cryin' out loud." John hopped down off his horse as soon as he steered up to a hitching post just outside the hotel.

"I'm twelve," Lillie responded smartly.

"Same difference. Now do what I said and hitch your damn horse."

Hey, anything can happen. That's the whole basis of this roleplay.
I hope this is the right place. I have been having the most awful time trying to get a character right. I got a few snippets of how I want him to be and what he does, but I can't - for the life of me - figure out how to put it together in one cohesive story. So I'll start from scratch, and I'd ask that some of you please help me.

It's a western, taking place in the American Frontier sometime in the late 1800's. The apparent theme of the story is revenge - but that's not what its about. Two unlikely individuals, John Taylors (an experienced outlaw, bounty hunter, and drifter) and Lillie Williams (a young, naive, 12 year old girl) embark on a quest to track down and either kill or capture a notorious outlaw by the name of Butcher Bill. The story would be about the father-daughter bond that grows between the two characters.

Now there's a lot of different routes to go with this but here's a few key events I want happening:
1. Both characters have been hurt by Bill. This is one of the prime reasons John is helping Lillie.
2. Maybe John's wife and daughter was killed by Bill, turning him into a shell of his former self. But Lillie reminds John of his daughter and this helps to build that father-daughter relationship I want. What do you make of that?
3. Perhaps John and Bill knew each other beforehand. Are they brothers, perhaps? Did they ride in the same gang? This would make it more personal for John and I like that.
4. I want several years to have passed by (maybe 3?) since John's family has been killed. But what reason would John have for not seeking Bill before this story? Do you think it's realistic that Bill had been hard to find and John has just been roaming around the west waiting to hear something about him?
5.1 This idea sees Lillie survive an attack by Bill. She comes into town, her story sparks interest by John. John is the only one willing to go after Bill, and Lillie tags along, but only because she knows where Bill is hiding out at.
5.2 This idea sees Lillie being captured and will be ransomed off the sheriff. Instead, the sheriff forms a posse and John joins in. John is about to kill Bill but he holds Lillie at gunpoint. Bill manages to flee, and this is when John and Lillie team up to track him down.
6. I had considered that they run across Cassius Green, Bill's right-hand man. Lillie wants him to die, because he helped kill Lillie's family, but John doesn't want to kill him... but for what reason? This would cause some dynamic between the two characters.

So with this information, construct some sort of background or bare-bones summary that you think works. Feel free to add onto things or take things out if you want.
I've always liked the idea of characters revealing more about them in the IC rather than a bio, but I've always had bios in my RP's.

But I wanted to do a sci-fi roleplay where the characters revealed their personalities and history via character-conversations rather than write it out in the OOC.
@Razqua: I really like Alexander's motives and past experiences. Reminds me of a short-story called "The Most Dangerous Game", or something like that. Anyway, Alexander is fine and he is accepted.

@thegreenleafe: I like how Jeffe's history and motivations are driving him to be part of the Butcher Bill story. Once it ends, I can see Jeffe seeking more opprotunities in Yornley, such as buying some land and opening his own ranch there - but that's entirely up to you.

@KnightsTemplar: Joshua Hawkes will prove to be in an interesting position in Yornley. As the 'up and coming' Marshall of the county, I can only imagine the difficulties he will face and the allies he will need to obtain in order to stabilize the region.

@Everyone: I will continue to await the other bio and possibly others. I may write up an IC today and revise it within the week, but no guarantees. In all honesty, perhaps I ought to have done more research on the American Frontier, but it ought to be fine.

EDIT: I know it ain't good practice, but I may edit parts of my two bios (John and Lillie). I'm having the awfulest time putting a good backstory together for them. However, for all you bounty hunters out there, know that John DOES have a bounty on his head in several counties.
inHuman

Plot: This is a superhero roleplay, but the characters are not like DC or Marvel. They're much more... subtle. If you've ever seen Watchmen then you know what I'm talking about. They're more 'vigilante' type, fighting crime and other superhumans. There is no such thing as gods (like Thor) and there is no such thing as aliens (like Superman). All characters are, or at least once was human. Many of the characters are inHumans; inHumans are born with innate abilities, much like Mutants from Marvel, but the vast majority of them are not aware of their powers. The inHumans who do learn of their abilities usually keep them hidden and most never even use them, usually out of fear. Many 'superheroes' use their powers to fight street crime, much like a vigilante, while many villains tend to use their powers to further their criminal career or for personal gain, usually posing a major threat to these vigilante superheroes.

There is a secret organization known the Agency, they are the prime antagonists. The Agency takes a special interest in inHumans, and there efforts are often funded by high-level government officials; they are otherwise unheard of. The Agency's greatest asset was an individual known as Subject 6. Subject 6 was an inHuman who did not realize he had powers, but after being injured in a catastrophic explosion he was recovered by the Agency. He was experimented on, brainwashed, and then trained to become the Agency's most prized resource. Subject 6 was sent all over the world on special missions to acquire as any known inHumans for the Agency to continue experimenting on. Subject 6, however has gone rogue...

The beginning of the roleplay will be about Subject 6, now going by the alias of 'Six', as he attempts to form a team of superheroes that will band together to take down the Agency. The Agency on the other hand has managed to form their own team of inHumans, a group of villains who will antagonize Six and his team.

Characters:
Heroes
Six - After being severely injured in a catastrophic explosion, Six was recovered and nursed back to full health by the Agency. He was then trained to become their greatest asset. Resilient to damage, and enhanced with cybernetic implants that gift him almost superhuman speed, agility, strength, and reflexes, Six has proven himself to be a capable combatant. He is a master of martial arts and prefers using an assortment of high-tech weaponry and gadgets to accomplish his goals. Six once worked for the Agency but has recently gone rogue to work against them.

Villains
Red Lady - A mysterious young woman working for the Agency. The Red Lady was trained by Six himself, and the two developed a very close bond, making the confrontations between them even more personal. The Red Veil is extremely agile, tricky, and cunning, employing stealth, poison and clever tricks to confuse and control her opponents.

Summary: A mysterious bounty hunter, outlaw and drifter, John Taylors is a quiet man with a riddled past. No one quite sure where he came from or what drives him to do the things he does, but he has been known to work on both sides of the law. In some counties people may recognize him as an honorable man of the law, while in other places he may be known as a murderer and thief. He has several outstanding bounties in several counties and is constantly pursued by bounty hunters. Whatever the case, John Taylors has ridden into Yornley with a young girl named Lillie Williams, and is on the warpath to find Butcher Bill.
History: John was the son of a rancher, and would inevitably grow up to become a rancher. The only practice he ever had with a gun was hunting, but even then he wasn't exactly special. His main skills included the ability to track animals, and he was a general survivalist, very knowledgeable in the wilderness: a true frontiersman. He grew up with and would later marry the young Catherine, who was two years younger than he was. John married her at the young age of 20, but only because Catherine became pregnant with his child. John continued to work on his father's ranch and hunted the local forests until he acquired enough cash to purchase his own parcel of land around the age of 22.

John, Catherine, and their young daughter Sofia would live on this parcel of land for the next five years. John's financial stability was actually quite decent, especially since his father loaned him a few cattle and other livestock to begin his career. His ranch was an important asset to the community and his family was well-received by the locals. Unfortunately, while John was away selling his wares, a gang of outlaws led by Cassius Green raided his ranch, brutally murdered his wife and daughter, and burned his ranch to the ground. John became a broken man and disappeared.

John had become a bounty hunter of sorts, trying to hunt down and capture anyone associated with Cassius Green. These efforts quickly labeled him a hero by some fo the populace. But then things got a bit murky. He began working alongside some of the outlaws, but his excuse was that they too were rivals of Cassius Green and his gang. These actions labeled him an outlaw and attracted the ire of lawmen and bounty hunters. No one was quite sure which side of the law he was on.

At some point during this time he worked alongside the notorious Butcher Bill. Bill wasn't particularly fond of Cassius, but that's not why he worked with John. He used John, tricking him into committing many dastardly deeds to find Cassius. John eventually saw through Bill and ditched his gang after a brief but heated argument.

John's life as a bounty hunter, outlaw, and drifter lasted for approximately three years. He would finally be captured by rival bounty hunter Brom Tollets, a stout and effective man. Instead of being locked up, however, John was given an opportunity. He was to track down and return a young girl named Lillie Williams to them. It wasn't exactly one of his natural targets but he agreed anyway, lest he be hanged for his crimes.

John set out to find this girl and it didn't take to long to locate her. He was preparing to bring her back to the government agents but quickly changed his course when the girl persuaded him to find Butcher Bill: the man who killed her family.

b]Description:[/b] Short, light, and only 12 years old.
b]Appearance:[/b] TBA
b]Clothing:[/b] TBA
b]Weapons:[/b] Basic knife.
b]Items:[/b] TBA
b]Horse:[/b] TBA
b]Summary:[/b] A naive, young girl, only the age of 12. Lillie's mother and father were murdered by Butcher Bill, and Lillie was taken to be ransomed off to a local sheriff. Lillie was rescued, however, by a bounty hunter named John Taylors. He then promised her that he would seek justice and take revenge on Butcher Bill, but perhaps something else was driving him. The duo has since made their way into Yornley.
b]History:[/b] Lillie was born to two God-fearing parents, both of whom attempted to raise her in the same way they had been. Lillie, however, had proved to be difficult. While she didn't show out or disrespect her parents, she never took an interest in the Lord or the Creator. She just wanted to live life to the fullest.

When her mother and father attempted to move out west in an effort to spread the Word of God, her caravan came under attack by none other than Butcher Bill. Many of the travelers were killed, including her mother and father. Lillie was the only child on the expedition and so when she was about to be killed Bill spared her life. He realized she was more use to him alive than dead. He had planned to ransom her off to the local sheriff for a large cash reward.

Fortunately for her, a bounty hunter by the name of John Taylors had been pursuing Butcher Bill and unknowingly rescued her. Bill held her hostage, forcing John to let him go, but the duo returned to town. John told her he was going to keep heading for Bill, but Lillie wanted to come as well to see him brought to justice. John refused to take her but ultimately chose to when she revealed she had overheard the description of his hideout out in Wissleon.

And so both individuals made their way to the town.
