Noting interest. Let me check this out later though.
@nautilusm: I don't plan on having any of your player characters being killed at the peace conference, no. The peace conference is the prologue, more or less, before we get into the actual story.

@Everybody: The story will probably move into the direction of "Okay, we have peace, now let's deal with a mututal enemy", but you'll learn more later. That's 3 interests, plus the fact more will see this in the normal forums, I think we got a good start. Expect an OOC later today or tomorrow.
Because 'what happens afterwards' is a mystery, what do you guys think the story will move in to?

I would hate for it to move into a direction that is not popular amongst the players.
This roleplay takes place in a fictional world, on a fictional landmass. The continent has been torn apart by war for the past several years and the bloodshed shows no hints of stopping. Fortunately, there's a neutral faction that has decided to host a peace talk in order to put an end to the wars. The belligerents have all come to the faction's stronghold in order to discuss the truce.

You will be in concession with this peace meeting. You are part of a faction, a noble family, a guild, or whatever - up to you entirely. You have come here with your allies/retainers/bodyguards/family/etc.

The roleplay will begin with everyone trying to agree to a truce. What comes next? That's a surprise.
Cool then, hope others are too.

Still in the process of everything though. May take different shapes.

EDIT: As in, very different. Construction in process. Sorry about that.
This is a fantasy roleplay set in a fictional world. Think Elder Scrolls or Dragon Age.

Setting
Imperial Empire - Once controlled the entire continent until internal rebellions proved to be its undoing. Although it maintains a well-trained military, the Empire has not made any martial moves within the past century. They are governed by the Senate.
Sultanate - A vast empire to the south. There intentions are unknown.
Kestoria - A human kingdom.
Ilaria - A human kingdom.
Eastmarch - A human kingdom.

Story

Characters
The Guardians - This group is lead by Knight Garren, serving as bodyguard of Lily, the princess and heir of the Kestorian throne. The group will be formed within Green Grove as Garren recruits the local refugees. Their goal is to get Lily to the kingdom of Ilaria for potential allies.

It's funny to think me and my group played "Teenagers" over ten years ago, which was roleplaying. It's also funny to think school required everyone to write stories. And some of those stories were collaborative stories.

And now in a way, I realize everyone I ever went to school with, everyone who went to school there before me, and everyone who is going to school there now, has effectively roleplayed at some point in there life whether they realized it or not... in a way I guess.

Nah, but seriously, I read some of these things ya'll writing and I realize ya'll live in some cliche places. There were never any cliques, like jocks/preps/nerds around here. You had your friends, and then you had schoolmates. That was it. There were no rivalries, no bullying, or anything.

You guys are just weird nerds. Bunch of baked bitches.
It's more like it's not an issue. I've written stuff countless times while they're around but they never bothered to ask about it. And there's no real reason to bring it up in a conversation. So I've been doing this for 5 years and no one has really bothered to ask what I was doing. But now when I roleplay it is when I am bored and have nothing else to do, which means no one is around for me to do anything with, so I do it as a sort of side hobby.

I might tell my cousin about it. She's only 10, but she seems to be into this sort of stuff. She'd probably have questions about it, but that's cool cause she's cool (to be 10 anyway).

EDIT: whoa, I just read on the previous page one of you was in 4th grade when you started RPing? Geez, so my 10 year old cousin could roleplay by that standard. She's smart, she might would like it.
Nice sig
There was an old roleplay I am pretty sure was on the Guild but it may have been the older site.

It was either "Dragon's Sword" or "Dragon's Might" or "Dragon's Blade" or something; I seem to remember the word 'Dragon' being in it.

The primary story focused on a princess, who was fleeing from her fallen nation in a quest to receive allies and support from one of the other kingdoms. One group of players was with the Princess and was escorting her. The other group was her pursuers, trying to stop her from getting to her destination.

I seem to recall the setting where there was a sea to the north, a desert to the south ruled by a Sultanate, and then in between all of it was about 5 kingdoms. One of these kigndoms was reminiscent of the Roman Empire and they once controlled all of the 5 kingdoms, but they had fallen and only maintained a portion of their land. The other 4 kingdoms were created after the Empire fell. The Princess was from one of these 4 kingdoms (not the Empire), but hers had fallen and she was in danger. My character was from the Empire and I was leading a small contingent of soldiers to find her and support her.

Does anyone know what I am talking about, who hosted it, and whether or not I can still find it?
