I like to think I have good intentions as a host with some potentially exciting ideas, but I'm a terrible, _terrible _roleplayer. So the players are not spread out, we could minimize the conflict to a specific area in the land. For example, in the game "Way of the Samurai 3" you had three factions: the Ouka clan, Shuzan Fujimori, and the Peasants; we could have like 3-4 clans in a specific region vying for power. This way it will separate the players, but keep them relatively connected (as in, not have each player be part of a separate clan, destroying possible character development between them). Another idea I had was starting to copy Star Wars, but I liked it. It mixed Chinese and Japanese elements. It concerned a dojo where the Grandmaster taught his students in the ways of the Samurai (warriors), Ninja (rogues), and Monks (mages). The dojo was located atop a mountain, and the only way up the mountain was to climb the treacherous slopes; only then could one prove themselves they had the determination, strength, and courage for the Grandmaster to train them. Unfortunately, the Grandmaster's former ally returns on his flying machines and devastates the dojo, kills the Grandmaster, and many of the students are killed. The survivors must then descend into darkness as they try to find a way to defeat this old 'ally' and put an end to his schemes.
Funny; I was wanting to do a Feudal Japan roleplay (basically the same thing) but with emphasis on the Sengoku period (Warring States). I was going to host a RP called Ronin a while ago ( http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/61317/posts/ooc#post-1891129 ) but never got around to it. I think it would be fun to set up a setting similar to the Sengoku period (clans vying for power over a divided land) and let the players decide their place in it. You may be a peasant intent on rebelling against your tyrannical ruler. You may be a Ronin (masterless samurai) acting as a mercenary to the various Shoguns throughout the land. You may be a Samurai who swears loyalty to your clan and fights to obtain victory. You may be someone fighting for personal reasons. You may be a Ronin/Samurai who resorts to espionage and assassination to achieve their goals (Ninja). You guys may even group up and form your _own _clan
OOC is up, for I may tidy it up later:

Behind Enemy Lines

"Captured! Master Jedi Vane Sarth has been taken hostage on the Separatist-held planet of Skuro. In response the Jedi Council dispatches Jedi Master Quian Lune and his young Padawan to extract the captured Jedi and return him to safety while Republic Clone Troopers fight to liberate the planet. Little do they know the treachery that awaits them..."

This role play takes place during the waning years of the Clone Wars. It will concern a young Padawan and her band of Clone Troopers as they try to find a way off of a Separatist-held planet. It will focus on the bond that forms between them, the brotherhood of the Clones, as well as the tactical and strategic capabilities of the players. You will be given a set of choices throughout the role play and it is up to you as players to determine the best route. Your eventual goal: flee Skuro!

Story

Jedi Master Vane Sarth and his Republic forces have been defeated after a costly space battle. Captured by General Grievous' forces, Master Sarth was taken to the Separatist-held planet of Skuro for interrogation. The Jedi Council decided to send Master Quian Lune and his young Padawan to rescue Vane Sarth while a Republic force of Clone Troopers attempt to break through the defenses and liberate the planet. Unfortunately, someone has betrayed the Republic forces: Master Jedi Quian Lune has been killed in action while the Republic assault force has all but been destroyed.

One of you will play as the Padawan, and everyone else will be playing Clone Troopers (including me). The goal? Work together and use your tactical/strategic skills to get off the planet Skuro. The Separatists will attempt to hunt you down and kill you, so you'll need to be vigilant. There is no way to contact your allies, as the droids are jamming all forms of communications on the planet. You'll need to improvise.

The Jedi Padawan is required to be young, female, and humanoid like Twi'leks, Togrutas, Pantorans, and humans. I feel this will help create a strong bond between the Clones and the Padawan. I'm not going to let just anyone be the Padawan though. Remember, your character is a young Padawan, so keep your Force skills and usage to a minimum.

The Clone Troopers are required to be Jango Fett clones from Kamino; there are no exceptions. Because the republic was initially launching a full-scale assault on Skuro, I will allow almost any type of Clone Trooper variant. However, they cannot be part of the 501st, and this is the very first time they'll be working alongside Master Jedi Quian Lune and his Padawan (I want the relationships between them to be fresh).

Removed telepathy. Hows'about'it?
Let me work some stuff out, then I'll get back to this later after he replies.
Here is my revised bio. I'm sorry for choosing Mos Eisley, Tattoine, but I wasn't sure what other planet to choose.

Name: Vor Dane
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Age: 26
Homeworld: Mos Eisley, Tattoine
Rank: Jedi Knight

Appearance: Vor Dane is a white human male with dark blue eyes, a brown stubble, shaved brown hair, and a scar that follows the contour of his right eye. (Picture soon, perhaps). Vor Dane also wears traditional Jedi robes in black[/img].

Personality: Vor is observant, calculative, and reserved. He is loyal to his allies, specifically the other Jedi, but has been known to be manipulative and seems to hold back secrets even from the Jedi Council. There's no real reason to distrust Vor, but his affinity to work alongside criminal organizations is something to be cautionary about.
Flaws: Vor's tendency to work outside of the law often leads to distrust amongst those who decide to work within it, so while Vor counts the other Jedi amongst his allies he is not particularly fond of their company and suffers from trust issues with them. He's also more use to dealing with covert operations or fighting small amounts of enemies, so he's not particularly useful against large numbers of enemies. He's also more suited to defending blasters - NOT other lightsabers, and would make a poor duelist.

Skills: Like most Jedi, Vor knows Form I. However, Vor quickly adopted Form V: Shien, which focuses on defending blasters. This suited Vor since he was more accustomed to facing opponents using blaster weapons throughout the Outer Rim. While using Shien, he is known to utilize the reverse-grip more.
Equipment: Vor wields a blue-hued lightsaber with a standard hilt, a personal blaster, a personal Holocron, and a wrist communicator.
Force Abilities: Telekinesis, speed augmentation, Force stealth, Force cloak, Force listening, Force sense, Force sight, Mind tricks

Personal History: Vor Dane was born on the planet of Tattooine. His parents were low-class humans who struggled to make a living on the desert planet. The two were eventually approached by a Jedi Master who offered to train him in the ways of the Force; they were initially reluctant, but decided it was better than let him suffer as they had. Vor Dane was very young when he was taken and barely remembers his parents. He spent his childhood at the Jedi Temple, and was known for his excursions to the library to study the criminal underworld.

Vor had problems accepting the Jedi Code, but was able to compensate and agreed to abide by its law. After passing his trials he was assigned to be the Padawan of Jedi Master Quian Lune. Master Lune was known for his operations against the criminal underworld throughout the galaxy, dealing with smugglers, pirates, slavers, drug dealers, and assassins; Vor's knowledge of the underworld, acquired at the Jedi library, was expanded during his time with Master Lune.

Vor took up his Master's form: Shien, which focused on the deflection of blaster bolts. Lune insisted he also focus on Djem So and break the habit of using a reverse grip,, but Vor ignored his lectures and never quite evolved his fighting style. Soon after Vor became a Jedi Knight, Lune was assassinated by a bounty hunter. Vor was angry and wanted only vengeance, but he knew this was not the Jedi way. He retreated into the Outer Rim, distancing himself from the Jedi Council for a time.

His exposure to the underworld led him to work alongside them throughout the Outer Rim: working as a 'mercenary' and taking down small gangs. Only a few of his associates actually knew he was a Jedi, while others believed him to be some sort of mercenary or bounty hunter. It was a fight at a cantina where he received his scar. During the Clone Wars the Jedi Council decided it best to keep Vor in the Outer Rim and report any Separatist activity, which eh willingly obeyed to. Vor felt 'at home' within the Outer Rim, working alongside his criminal contacts. This limited his exposure to Clone Troopers.

In the waning years of the Clone Wars Vor was recalled back to Coruscant under direct orders of the Council. He makes his way there now in his own personal starfighter, but he is about to fly into a deadly trap...
Additional Info: Vor Dane is known throughout the criminal underworld of the galaxy, most specifically the Outer Rim. Some criminal organizations value him as a powerful ally, but more than a few of them see him as a threat to their organization. He can sometimes expect hospitality throughout the Outer Rim, while other times he will be met with harsh hostility.
I'm seeking a suggestion for a homeworld that was in the Outer Rim ripe with criminal connections, as if it was controlled by the Hutts or something.

Working on the revised bio as we speak.
