Fallout 4 is on the horizon, and new found interest in that genre is peaking within me. Not to mention the advertising for Mad Max here recently, and me watching The Book of Eli has also got me interested in the genre. I want to talk about at least.

What type of post apocalyptic setting do you like most? Some tend to have some futuristic stuff in it (like Fallout or even Destiny and Oblivion (Tom Cruise movie), if you want to include that) while others tend to use contemporary things (like in the Book of Eli, or the Last of Us).

Do you like the idea of zombies/mutated humans in the setting? Do you like mutations in general? Or do you like the more grounded, 'realistic' approach? Are you a fan of nuclear wars being the reason for the fallout, or something else?

If you guys want, we can all 'build' settlements, factions, and important characters and 'build' us a world to RP in.
I was born in 1993, so I was ~7 years old when the 90's ended. Even then, I have very vague tidbits of the 90's, which really sucks since those tidbits are pretty cool.

I remember the music from then, especially the hip-hop and some of the punk stuff, but mostly country music. I remember waking up every morning and going to my entirely-wooden entertainment center where my huge, box TV was and playing the Sega and Nintendo. We played Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter, Kid Chameleon, Star Wars Pod Racer, Racing Round the World, and so much other games that - thinking back on - were so damn fun.

I remember some old TV shows, specifically a show about dinosaurs... they were like puppets I think... forgot the name. And another show, a cartoon, about a girl and a clan of folks who was stranded on an island... wish I knew the name.

Damn it. I really wish I was born just a weebit earlier.

Choose a color: red or blue.

In the most convincing way possible, try to explain why your chosen color is better than the other color.
In all seriousness thought, what problems do people have with Obama? Where I live, a lot of people dislike him. I don't mess with politics to much.
Partisan, request to make 'Sand-eater' an official racist term against the Sawarim?
Jokes?

Obama.
If nothing else, we can all go out in a blaze of glory by assassinating Dorran and whoever else we can get to before we're killed. One of us can have a note with the words "The Sawarim sends their regards' tucked in our armor, so the Broacienians invade the south and Warren can rest in peace knowing those filthy fucking sand-eating camel-riding false-idol worshiping sweaty Sawarim are going to be slaughtered.
Billy Tilly decided to visit the local inn, the Ploughin' Pony. And then his skeleton burst from his body, killing him. The skeleton, now free, decided that it was about time to leave this swingin' brony sex motel and go become an economist. He went to the nearest hat shop and bought a nice black top hat with the money he got off of his old skin, several now dead hookers, and the wishes of little boys and girls. The black hat soon taught Billy Tilly's skeleton the basics of identity fraud to help his education as an economist. With his new tool, the skeleton went down the street pointing out frauds, until he pointed at a cop and was tazed right in the calcium. The men took him into the prisons but he was, however, soon released- as skeletons are very white. Now an ex-con, the skeleton wrote a book about economy from the perspective of a prison-bound human skeleton. Said book exploded in popularity and profits, inflating both his wallet and his ego. His ego got so big that it burst from his bones, killing him. Billy Tilly's ego went to find a new host, and found a small Kentucky boy named Tilly Billy who loved to play the spoons. Now, the spoons he played was a convoluted instrument that involved lining up a number couples spooning based on the pitch of their voice, and pressing them together using a complex piano-style machine that caused them to sigh, allowing the spoon player to make melodies out of sensual moans. The purchase and operating costs of this instrument had bankrupted Tilly Billy's family, but armed with Billy Tilly's demonaic ego, he went into poverty with the machine still thinking himself the best composer in the world. Tilly Billy finally died of STDs in 6900, Which led the possessing ego to go find another host in the streets of Brooklyn.

Who happened to be a teenage girl who had so many highlights in her hair she looked like a walking skittles commercial. This girl's name for Silly Milly, and each skittle-colored highlight represented her passion for the gay community.

Setting

The RP will revolve around a forested region known as the Darkwald. The Darkwald is an ancient, dark forest nestled between several kingdoms. Its location makes it an important trade route that connects the surrounding kingdoms. There are other routes that lead around the Darkwald, but they take longer. Many roads and pathways go through the Darkwald, with many passing over the Stone River, which runs from a set of mountain ranges in the north and down south through the forest.

At the center of the Darkwald is a small town known as Blackwater. At the center of Blackwater is the Hallows Inn, an important stop for many travelers. Blackwater is protected by a wooden palisade wall and two iron gates. South of Blackwater, on the edge of the Darkwald, is the town of Stone's End, built atop a cliff that overlooks the Grinwall Valley.

North of the Darkwald is Asgeir, land of the Varan. The Varan are renowned warriors and seafarers. To the southwest is Imperia, remnants of the old Reman Empire. Lithuania and Novgorod also exist in the east.

@Partisan: Sometimes, I imagine Warren's former colleagues (the Blackblades) wanted to assassinate Gregar when he ascended to the throne. This divided the Blackblades; Warren and his compatriots wanted to trot into the Hoffburgt and slay the Bastard then and there, but the others advised against it, so the Blackblades disbanded. Warren and his mates never got the chance to kill Gregar.

Also, Warren hates the Sawarim so much, while in Redsand he was actively trying to get the Sawarim to attack Broacien so as to start a war, and promptly destroy the ibn Wahad sultanate altogether. He murdered every Sawarim he came across - be it man, woman, or child, trying his best to get them to invade Redsand.
