“Good morning students. I am your homeroom teacher and science teacher. My name is Ms. Konomi Yoshioka and I hope everyone in this class will be cooperative.".”
“A school staff managed to lose some files, so please fill up these forms and pass them to me afterwards.” She instructed. As she walked over to her desk, she glanced around the room. “I will also announce your seatmates once everybody is done. You can enjoy your free time afterwards but some people might come in to introduce themselves.”
Taking his temporary seat right behind the door, he waited patiently as his slip of paper was handed to him and filled it up immediately.
Name: Alois F. Jeon
Age: Seventeen
Section: B

Unsure about his last choice, he eenie-meenie-minie-moed and sincerely hoped he wouldn't regret it later on. Handing over his paper, he scanned the classroom. It seemed rather average, with students chattering away, sharing their choices and having a good time. Then there were a few that decided to keep to themselves.
Alois shook his head. He wasn't going to interfere with them unless he really needed to, but he always had a knack for taking care of others- whether they liked it or not. That was the one flaw he was aware of and tried hard to change, but he couldn't help himself at times. He took one more look at the more reclusive student positioned at the window seat and mentally scolded himself as his maternal instincts began to act up.
While his eyes did a general sweep of the classroom, he noticed a girl who seemed to be staring off into space and shuffling her hands over the paper she was given. Upon closer inspection he noticed in place of where the words should have been, there were raised dots aligned into patterns.
Braille? he put two and two together. Oh...
He skipped happily back to his seat, the side of his butt managing to collide with a few tables on his way- and waited patiently for the results, daydreaming about his school year that has yet to unfold.
With his mind still lingering on the sight-deprived student though, he figured he would have to learn her name and somehow convey to her with his words what the firework show would've looked like later on- complete with an audio recording from his phone.

"I'm Conner, but you can call me Heron if you want. So uh..." He looked around, confused. "If this is the principal's OFFICE, and people are being called down here, then where is the principal. In fact, where's anybody?" A shiver went down his spine. "Creepy."
Alois nodded furiously in agreement.
"Creepy indeed."
There's definitely something wrong about this school, but I'll brush it off for now-
Alois grinned at the girl's response.
"Kirra, huh? That's a cool name you've got there. Oh and- posh?" his grin widened, "It's merely a way of making a good first impression. Since I assume we're all new here, it's natural for one to want to get along well with their peers- right?" he finished light-heartedly, while taking a few steps back to get a good look at all the students present within the room. A girl with very light-pink hair had seemed to made her way inside without him noticing, Alois sighed.
I'm gonna have to learn their names instead of distinguishing them from each-other by their hair colour... Alois noted.
Scanning Kirra up and down, he noticed an expression on her face that showed she hasn't really determined whether Alois was a friend or foe yet. Sensing her uneasiness, he flashed her a smile, hoping to himself that that would somehow get him on her good side. After all, school had only begun- he wasn't in the mood for making any enemies.
He watched Kirra turn to the heron-boy.
"Hi."
At this point, Alois was starting to feel uneasy. His dark-haired pursuer who had roughly shaken Alois up earlier still hasn't said anything, in fact he hasn't moved for the past ten minutes the introductions were being exchanged. Was he momentarily possessed by a malicious entity a moment before? Is he out of it right now because his body was just taken over by a spirit and is currently having his soul inserted back into where it belongs? IS THIS OFFICE HAUNTED?!
Overwhelmed by such thoughts, he leaned on the chair beside him for support and rubbed his temples.
Suspicious and curious as to why the boy was acting the way he was, he folded his arms and resumed watching him from the corner of his eye once again.
