Responsibility belongs not to the name stenciled on the mantel, but to the one who carries the mantle.

Tecumseh finished his shepherd's pie in silence and was about to call in dessert when the other two rose, announcing their intent to leave. That wouldn't bother him, he'd meant exactly what he said. He wasn't about to tell either of them how to live their lives, but he knew Alessandra needed to be warned that things were going to get worse. Having someone at the site to help smooth over any ruffles would be good for her as well. He knew it was a lot to dump on their shoulders, but they were young, they would find a way to survive, just as he had.

Dessert is on it's way if you want it. You know where to find me if you need me.

@Dragonite777 Doesn't count, it came within an hour or two of having been reminded in the last post.

Mot bows, slightly, to the tree. A town of that size should be able to answer at least a few of his questions. And having a guide through the forest appealed to him, he was much more comfortable in large cities than he was the wilds. Mot was careful to speak only for himself, since the group had as of yet to find anything to bind them together besides their recent past, which some at least seemed willing enough to forget. He wondered idly how many would follow him, he suspected at least two would, though the others were a mystery to him. Mot didn't particularly care what they did, so long as they didn't hinder him. Teysa was getting annoying, with her habit of killing first and thinking later, and then only of her own ... her own what? She was awfully content for a dragon that had just lost it's hoard... not that Mot was going to bring it up. Oh well, she hadn't said she would either help or hinder, so he didn't expect much from her. The new Angel though, he could be a complication, especially if he was anything like Teysa.

I would be in your debt if you would kindly lead me to Briar Glen. I admit I am not familiar with traveling in such a grand wood as this and would be lost in moments.
If you follow the trail of glints and flashes of light I'm making, mostly small puddles. :)
Other than that I imagine you mostly find bones, and rotted/rusted/corroded materials.
@Nerevarine Posted, and glad to have you back.

The ignorance of youth... Tecumseh sighed and wondered just what to tell Alessandra. He would tell her the truth, he knew that, but how much of it could she handle? She already seemed to be under a lot of stress and adding to that burden would accomplish nothing good. Start small then, Tecumseh glanced at his plate as he took another bite himself, almost swallowing the small bite whole.

I wanted to be certain that you were what I thought you might be. And if you were, to let you know you weren't the only one in the world and warn you that life would be difficult for you because you are not like most people. People fear what they do not understand, and they do not understand any of us. I've been on the path you've only just started to walk, all my life. It is a hard path, full of fear, hate, and pain. The broadcast from NY is going to escalate things rather quickly. It is neither wise nor safe to share your skills with anyone you don't trust with your life. So consider carefully what you will do now. What you do now is up to you. Choose your steps wisely.

Tecumseh returns to his food, letting Alessandra consider the information she'd just been given. He knew her life had been difficult and that it was about to get much harder, thanks to the nuts in NY. He hoped she'd escape the notice of those that were now inevitably looking for elementals, but knew it was a matter of time before she found herself surrounded by probes, wires and tubes.

Mot had been distracted by the new arrivals, his natural suspicion wasting precious time, thankfully he wasn't needed for the rest of the fight. Having a dragon in the vicinity made things less of problem tactically speaking. Reviewing his readied spells Mot saw he would have had little to offer anyway, his creatures having been destroyed, he had only sorceries he was reluctant to waste.

Mot was pleasantly surprised that the new comers were ... at the least non-hostile. He hoped to find a place to rest soon, as the surroundings were somewhat discouraging, showing only the vast expanse of vegetation, even the mountains seemed to be covered in growth, though stone faces were visible on the steeper sides. What? The dragon... had a thing for angels okay, good to know. And one of us has been summoned to some other plane. Mot was inclined to follow, but he still knew nothing of the events that had brought them all here in the first place. Perhaps the wandering tree knew of this plane and where they might find shelter. If there was shelter nearby there might also be some answers.

I am not familiar with this plane, much less this jungle. Can you direct me to a nearby village where I may find shelter and nourishment for the evening or at least tell me where I am?
