That moment when someone makes a terrible OC with a cringe self-centered plot and you have no idea how to react because you want them to indulge your own shit.

Chores are the worst. But they are necessary if we don't wish to live in squalor.
@HushedWhispers

Since I have an older brother of your Sun character, did you have a hair color in mind? I kept looking at pictures but I thought it might be best to work out some kind of similarity with yours. Or should we just not worry too much about appearances? I may be making a bigger fuss than necessary haha.
I've got some more chores to do today but I should get something to you in between em. :)
What happened to sleep? lol
The Minako family had sustained such cramped conditions for so long that it not longer was an uncomfortable situation. The smells on the other hand, were something that the Minako family could never fully adjust to. The air was seldom clean but mildew and cigarette smoke, along with rotten potatoes were the main culprits that frequently assaulted their nostrils. Despite the sometimes soggy floor or leaking roof, they knew it could be much worse. They knew they were one of the lucky ones. Her father brought in most of the money though Hisano tried to contribute and pay her fair share whenever she could. Seeing her mother so ill often weighed heavily on her shoulders and she knew if she and her father lost her, then hope would truly be stolen from their pathetic world.

Hisano dragged her hand through her hair and glanced down at the dirt under her nails. Not matter how much time she spent at work digging the crud out from under them, by the time she got home, she'd be filthy once again. To make matters worse and add insult to infected wound, she often passed by glaring advertisements for things no one around them could afford. The latest trend seemed to be weightless water you could carry around and used to make tricks in the air before drinking it or to wash your hands. It was clearly just meant to show off to your friends but that whole notion of needless waste irritated the pink haired woman to no end.

But there was nothing she could do.

She and everyone around her were powerless and she had accepted the life she was living, even if it gave her no sense of satisfaction. Hisano decided with what money she had left, she would treat her family to a nice drink, not cheap nasty stuff she always got at Ray's Dive. She wanted to taste the real stuff, stuff that some folks were killing for. Of course she wasn't a killer, if anything she steered away from the rougher areas of District 9. She had a mother and father to look after. She couldn't be caught up in something stupid and otherwise illegal. As much as she wanted to lash out and take what she wanted, she was determined to go about things the right way, even if the right way wasn't fair.

At the moment, the woman was laying down, her back pressed into the thin mattress under her. She could hear her mother coughing on the other side of the stitched together curtain she and her mother made when she was a little girl. She was getting ready to head out for the night and try to look for something special, be it liquor or something else to brighten her family's weekend. She was tired of the same old shit. As she sat up, she got a text from an old friend, someone she feared she had lost to big corporate giant, VMT. Without hesitating, Hisano sent him back a message:

'Fine but this better not be something fuckin' crazy.'

Of course, she knew it was.

Hisano slowly got to her feet, her back killing her. No matter how many sleepless nights she spent on the old so-called mattress, she never found a way to make it even the slightest bit comfortable. She grabbed her gun and slipped it behind her, tucking it into her faded torn jeans, under her black long sleeve collared shirt. "Hey I'm heading out." She called out to her parents as she pushed back her curtain and took the seven long strides to the apartment's exit. Heading down the steps she waved to some familiar patrons at the bar and kept on walking, her hands already sticky from the god awful humidity. Hisano looked around, trying to see if anyone happened to be following her. The vibe she got from Tommy's text was that something was really wrong.

In the pit of her stomach she had to question why she was meeting up with him after not hearing from him for nearly two months. She had half a mind to show up swinging a baseball bat. He knew she didn't get into trouble anymore, not unless a life was on the line. She just hoped Tommy's life wasn't on the line. After cutting through some seedy alleys, she finally made it to the office. She dug out her own key card and let herself into the building. It was quiet and dimly lit. "Spooky." She muttered to herself and headed over to the stairs going all the way up to the seventh floor before she quickly walked along the glass hallway, locating 7112. She sighed deeply, knowing she had one last chance to just bolt and pretend like he had never contacted her but she had to know what was going on.

Knocking, she stepped back, bringing a hand behind her to grab her gun, just in case.
Okay, I hope you sleep well. -hugs-
Yuki

In the back of Yuki's mind, he had to wonder about Kyo since Kyo had been the major reason why he hadn't gone back to the Sohma estate or even back to Shigure's over the summer. Yuki had lost the patience for the hot-headed cat and wanted nothing to do with him. He also didn't think Kyo and Tohru made a great pair either. They were so different. She was kind and gentle and he was stubborn and reckless. If he knew the two had split up, he would have offered to take Tohru out and make her forget about the dumb cat but instead they kept things fairly superficial and friendly. He didn't wish to pry either way.

Looking to the dark haired girl, Yuki also had to note that he didn't think Kagura and Kyo made much of a great match either. Though Kagura had a temper, she was still a sweet girl who considered the feelings of those around. And in Yuki's mind Kyo didn't seem to deserve either Tohru or Kagura. While he couldn't see what either say in Kyo, he knew it wasn't his place to add his commentary. He knew Kyo was a sore topic for Kagura and like Tohru, didn't want to make things uncomfortable or awkward.

Studying her face, he could see she was still tormented by her feelings for Kyo and he wished there was something he could do to help. Matters of the heart were not something he was familiar with. Even though he had a crazed fan club in high school, he didn't date. The curse held him back from getting close to people, girls in particular. Of course Tohru was the exception to that time honored rule.

And while he cared for her and at times pined for more, he knew that was impossible. And he accepted it. When Kagura asked about his own summer, he had to pause and think about it. "My summer." He repeated. "I mostly focused on work and spent time at my garden. There's a local community garden I go to. They rent out small plots so I've been tending to some crops there but with school beginning I don't have the time to drive all the way there."

Suddenly realizing he may have rambled a bit, he let out a slight chuckle as an apology. Yuki wasn't one to enjoy attention even in a simple one on one setting. Even though Kagura never made him feel pressured or anything, he still wasn't used to holding up long conversations. He was hoping to change that. One of his classes was an Introduction to Acting which he was hoping would help. Even though he was fine speaking in public, as he had been the class president during high school for two years, he needed to be comfortable in intimate settings.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble there." He said quietly and looked to the soda in her lap before drinking a bit more from his own. "It looks like...something is troubling you." While the boy didn't want to venture into the topic of Kyo, he didn't like seeing others hurt. "If there's anything I can do to help in any way...but I do hope you know that anything that has happened remember that just like the New Year celebration we have, a new school year is a fresh start." He said, hoping it would help even just a little.

Tohru

Now that Momiji had longer legs than her, it wasn't as easy being pulled around but thankfully the slightly younger boy was mindful and didn't go too fast. Tohru caught her breath when they reached his dorm room. She made a mental note of what room it was and kicked off her brown maryjanes upon entry. It looked simple, just like hers but she was sure Momiji was glad to have a place to finally call his own. She had to wonder if he was little scared to be living away from home, though home was only 15 or 20 minutes away by car so he wasn't too far from his family.

Since the brown haired girl was well accustomed to Momiji by now, she didn't find it hard to keep up with his babbling and often found it endearing. His energy was often infectious. Unless you were Kyo or Hatori perhaps. But she did find it funny Momiji's roommate shared the same name as the Sohma doctor, though it wasn't uncommon to find people to happen across the same name in such a small country. "That is funny, I wonder if they'll get a chance to meet." She wondered around. It was likely since she recalled Hatori visiting once or twice last year to check up on Yuki's health.

Seeing Momiji's smile fade, Tohru began to regret bringing up Kyo. She knew she couldn't ask Yuki though, since he didn't keep up with Sohma current events anymore. And asking Kagura didn't seem that right. Tohru felt bad about going to Shigure or Hatori but she didn't think asking Momiji would be too bad of an idea. Hearing that nothing new had happened, she didn't know whether to be concerned or relieved.

"I see." She nodded, leaving the topic alone for the time being. But like a light switch, his mood brightened back up and he suggested they order something to eat. "Hmm...sure! There's a good pizza place nearby that Yuki and I used to enjoy ordering from when we had to cram for tests." She suggested to him. She hadn't eaten lunch and it was growing late in the afternoon so she decided a late lunch or early dinner would be good. "Then we can go out and get ice cream, okay?" She would forget her promise to treat him to something sweet, something he knew he'd love.

The pair headed into Momiji's room and closed the door behind them. Glancing to the now taller male, she decided she couldn't wait any longer. Maybe it was because she needed a hug or maybe that combined with having not seen Momiji in ages but she pulled him into a tight hug. For a few moments nothing changed before a bright POP could be heard and a puff of yellow smoke filled the room, quickly fading away to reveal a cute rabbit. Laughing, Tohru pulled back and held Momiji in her arms, thinking back to when they first met at her high school during one of their school's festivals. It seemed like yesterday...

"Haha sorry, I couldn't resist." She smiled, knowing Momiji didn't mind. If she did the same thing to Hatori or Yuki there would be some kind of a slight lecture given about being careful. But with Momiji she knew he didn't mind being so close. "You're just soooo adorable." Well now that he was older, an adult now, it was hard to call him adorable but in his zodiac form, he was still cute like a stuffed toy. She hugged him again, knowing he'd soon transform back. And suddenly he did. Already used to it, she quickly turned around to give the boy some privacy to get dressed. "Maybe it's wishful thinking but there has to be some way to break the curse...don't you think?" She thought aloud, knowing it was probably impossible but she still wanted to try somehow.
Hopefully Yuki is there to defuse the situation huh? -laughs- But yeah they're all maturing and learning to control their emotions and feelings. I am halfway done with the post but it's probably the last one for the night. -smiles- I should be somewhat free tomorrow though!

Alright.

So we can probably start soon. I assume our own Shinigami will drop the item and explain it needs the other item to work. And then both characters can see both Shiniagami.

THIS lists the rules though I'm not sure how close we want to work with them. I think some rules are needed but I don't think we need dozens of rules. But then again all the rules might be fun, I know reading them has been informative to me.

I'm guessing our characters find them at school, probably in the same area?
