Albert had just finished serving a cappuccino and was washing some cups when the news showed up on the overhead flat screen.
"Hey manager, I have some friends who are in Blue Harbor. I need to go make some calls, see if they're all right. Be back in a bit."
Grabbing his bag and leaving out the rear exit into the back alley, Albert Weiss activated his light powers and began to glow a faint white. With super speed he changed into his makeshift outfit consisting of a white motorcycle helmet, jacket and pants. "I've been at this a year already. I really need to upgrade my costume... Sigh..."
With a Poom!, Prism made his way towards Blue Harbor. Prism, so far, could run at a top speed of Mach 10, but to do so in the crowded winding streets of Valle Dorado, with its multi-colored historical buildings and cultural districts, would be very destructive. He usually alternated between 130 mph while in the city, and between 300 mpg while there were cars and Mach 3 when there were no cars nearby on the highway. Doing this, it took Prism around 15 minutes to get there. He saw and then ignored Meltdown, instead running straight to the plant itself. He split into his 7 colors, and began to expeditiously save civilians and injured from the wreckage, working with the rescue operation already underway. They were his first priority. Prism didn't want them sustaining too much radiation poisoning.
"Captain, that last missile did a number on our starboard shields. Efficacy is down by 74%. I'd suggest using port side to take any punches from now on. Nearby teams are already on-site but it seems as if they're having trouble. I've done all I can from Engineering HQ, so I'll be heading over myself. I'll keep the bridge posted, Kathy out." @Lord Coake
Kathy was starting to feel an odd thrill; a strange mix of adrenaline, eagerness to test herself, and to push herself harder than she's ever worked before. She quickly grabbed her personal work bag and assigned tool box, had another engineer take over her console, and quickly made her way over to the damaged section.
Upon arrival, Kathy stood and stared in shocked silence. She didn't know what wrong turn she took, but she had descended into a tiny pocket of hell. The first thing that got her was the smell. Smoke from fried electronics, burnt flesh and fear. Then the sounds of electrical discharges and human cries of pain and anguish. Everything was dark except for the intermittent glow of red warning lights. In those illuminated seconds, all she saw was a stop-motion world of black and red with panicked figures running about.
Holding up her communicator, Kathy whispered "Sickbay, we need someone, anyone over here in Starboard Deck 11 Block 5. There are multiple injured. I.. I'm not qualified to assess how bad the situation is, but it's bad. Kathy out." @Didos
Kathy grit her teeth and forced herself to move. Grabbing some nearby engineers, they set to work.
Just letting everyone know that I'm still here. Right now is very marine, ground based heavy action (not much for an engineer to do), so just biding my time until something bad happens to the ship, or something.
Arienne was excited. She had spent the last 12 hours running her cog's information through her head and doing some rough simulations. Her cog's cockpit was barely such. I was a interface free, neural link cockpit, and it was just enough room for her to stand in, hook up and have her consciousness and senses upload and take control of the cog. She would literally become one with it! She just couldn't wait to try the actual machine out!
But then, Corina's questions brought Arienne back out of her eager daydreams to reality. Hmm, good on Corina to get to the matter at hand. Knowing about Rules of Engagement would be good since Arienne had never had to deal with such before. She had always done covert or very blatant, in your face operations. Her jobs were always really simple. Save this person, get this info, kill this group. Well, it's always good to expand one's horizons. Learning and getting used to this should be helpful in the long run.
Gharlyc immediately heard the tone in Dirion's voice and gave him a cold hard stare. Gharlyc's voice dropped dropped in volume and became very smooth and eerily calm. "Stranger. It's no excuse now, but I thought it was a healing potion. I saw the siren drink it and heal from her wounds. My only thought at the time was to save Busker's life. Now, who knows what horrible fate I have cursed my best and only friend with. So, maybe instead of pointing fingers, you can be useful and help me think if there is a possible cure for this affliction. Can your addled brain handle that hm?" @NorthernGR
Turning over to Wink, Gharlyc's hard expression softened a little bit, but not by much. "Wink, I'm sorry this happened. I know you don't like me, but I love Busker like a brother. I would never purposefully do this to him. You probably won't take much stock in my words, but I promise you, I will not rest until I have found a cure for your father"
Turning and noticing Vickers ordering a drink, Gharlyc addressed him. "You, stranger with the pig(?!). Things are very dangerous in this bar right now. It may not be the best time for a leisurely drink. If you look, we have injured and people who are cursed with who knows what. For your own safely either hide back here with the rest of us or see if you can leave out the back." @Captain Bravo
Alignment: Hero Real Name: Albert Weiss Age: 22 Superhero Name: Prism
At almost 6 ft, this slim young man just seems to ooze off a slow and lazy feeling. When not working at his coffee shop job or on his research, you can see him sitting under some shade reading trashy fantasy novels.
First picture is Prism's first and rookie outfit. If the article of clothing wasn't white, then he spray painted it so. Eventually, when he becomes seasoned and known, through his research he will develop his second suit. Also shown are the colors for his 7 duplicates.
Meta type: Overhuman
Prism has light base powers, giving him super speed and reflexes. Eventually he will learn Energy fists and White form only Light beams. While shooting beams, Prism no longer has super speed and reflexes, as all his light powered energy is used for the attack. Prism also has the power of flight, but doesn't know it. He never tried flying since the super speed was always the most obvious. One day, he may make this discovery. In hero mode, Prism's body emits a soft but visible glow, corresponding to the uniform's color.
His secondary power, and where he gets the name Prism from is that he has a default white form that can split into 7 duplicates of himself, color coded to the rainbow. Each of these duplicates can perform tasks individually, but are united by the single will of Albert. Example, he can read 7 different books at once and retain all the information. His duplicates all have the same stats as his original White form, except that the White form is the only one that can shoot light beams (eventually). All are equally strong, smart and fast. If any of the duplicates is killed/destroyed, then that specific color gets mixed equally between all the remaining duplicates.
Born to single mother Adelle Weiss, Albert was raised with love and kindness in the home of his maternal grandmother, Amalda, who served in the marines when she was young. When Albert was 11, Adelle died of cancer. To save him from sadness and depression, Amalda showed Albert harsh love by making him go through marine training. This training devastated Albert so that he was too exhausted to even miss his mother. Over the years though, Albert slowly got used to his training and along with Amalda, came to terms with Adelle's death. Then Albert's powers manifested on his 16th birthday right in front of Amalda, they spent the later years working and thinking together on how to best use and control his powers. Albert was already a pretty smart kid, and worked hard academically. But with his powers, he was able to multitask and work 7 times as hard and earn a scholarship to the University of California, Valle Dorado, where he currently spends most of his time working towards his PHD in Material Sciences. He works part time at a local coffee and book shop.
Albert's main traits are his gentleness, sympathetic heart, and easy going nature. A gentleman with a friendly nature and surprisingly thick skinned, he honestly doesn't care if people make fun of him or insult him. From his mother, he got his kind and gentle nature. From his grandmother, he got his willpower and drive to protect and do good for the community. As a child, Albert already had a passive nature. When Amalda started his marine training, he had to cope by developing 2 psychological states. His default state is a more extreme version of his original passive nature where he is super chill, laid back and passive. He does this so that he can save mental and physical energy for his second state, which is a self induced, high adrenaline state with heightened awareness. In this state, he is active, focused Albert loves reading books, drinking coffee and tea, and going window shopping for clothes with friends, mainly so he can study the textiles and mentally work out how to make them fire proof or something along those lines. If Albert weren't so lazy, he would be a larper.
Albert Weiss was wholly unprepared when his powers manifested on his 16th birthday. Deciding to play it safe, he spent the next 5 years experimenting and practicing his powers in secret, with only his grandmother as his confidant and mentor. A year ago, just when Albert was deciding to finally start super heroing, he was on his way to a nearby bank when it was being robbed by Rad Stallion and his Stable Boys. Donning his rookie costume, Albert Weiss, now Prism, rushed in and stopped the robbery. He was able to apprehend most of the Stable Boys, but Rad Stallion and the rest were able to escape. With this, Prism was able to make his debut, and has been stopping mid to low level crime ever since.

Alignment: Villain Real Name: Radley Sentarinno Age: 42 Villain Name: Rad Stallion
Meta type: Parahuman
Rad Stallion is basically a normal human, except for his legs. His legs have super human strength, durability, and let him run up to 50 mph. Uses an interesting MMA mix of Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, and Capoeira, where he only does attacks with his legs and feet (think Sanji from One Piece). May sometimes duel wield tommy guns.
The Stable Boys are Rad Stallion's organized hitmen. His most elite thugs, they consist of normal humans who are equipped with a tommy gun and horse head mask.
Horse Power is Rad Stallion's strongest lackey. Dressed in a full body latex horse suit, he is an Overhuman with enhanced strength and durability (think the Rhino villain from Spiderman). Low level intelligence and loyally follows Rad's orders.
Rad Stallion is head of the Sentarinno mob family, a far reaching family with lots of wealth, power and influence. A major power in the criminal underworld, they have their hand in smuggling, gambling, human trafficking, and many other illicit activity. Their financial power and dark ties to parts of law enforcement keep more notable members of the family free from incarceration. A very impulsive family that is prone to violence.
Proud, arrogant, selfish, and overall douche. Rad enjoys all the physical pleasures that money can buy, but still oddly finds time to stay in shape. A leader through terror, he plots and schemes and can actually come up with pretty good plans, but his impulsive nature and irritable bad temper can cause him to mess up his own plans. Ever since his transformation, he is a devout vegan, and will spend his families resources to raid race tracks and farms to steal and then free the captured horses. All in a misguided attempt to undo the curse placed on him. Speaks like the Fonz.
There once was a mysteriously magical talking horse. It was a wonder that kids and scientists came to converse with from far and wide. One day, Radley Sentarinno the mob boss heard of this wondrous horse. He thought it amusing, and decided to buy the horse for himself. The horse didn't like leaving his home, and nagged at Radley day and night. Eventually, Radley had had enough. He ordered the horse butchered and served for dinner that night. With his dying breath, the horse cursed Radley to suffer humiliation and inconvenience for the rest of his days. When dinner was served, even with a 5 star chef, the meat tasted bitter and rancid. Radley would have yelled many profanities if he weren't choking. Choking so hard he fell on the ground. When he was able to get back up again, he rose now as the RAD STALLION!! He shot the chef dead.
