In The Temple of Iacet, there is a throne that is occupied by the current heir of Iacet Levia. At the age of the nineteen, she rules this highly religious sanctuary with ease. With a different style of ruling compared to her totalitarian ancestors, she has pleased the people of her land. Though she must integrate the old traditions of her family, in order to stay in the favor of the council.
Seventeen years ago when Levia was only three years old, fifty newly born children were taken from their mothers. These children were from various geographic locations on the planet, creating extreme diversity. Few of the children survived the withdraw, dying on the trip back to the temple. The seven who did survive were raised in a lower portion of the temple by servants.
During their adolescence at about age 12, the seven began to learn an excess of information about each other. Two of the seven children fell in love by the age of fifth teen. They developed strong emotions, and began to have sexual relations with one another. The servants discovered this, and reported it to their superiors. Both of the two were executed and used as an example to the other five children.
At the age of Seventeen, the children have now constantly heard the word prophet floated around. They now realize, that one of the five will be chosen. That only one of them could be this prophet, and the successor.
During a span of two months or 62 days, the successor will be chosen.
24 days will consist of training, and power discovery. This will be the first time the prophets will be able to manifest their powers.
12 days, will be a series of trials and the elimination of the first prophet. These trials will be judged by Levia herself.
12 days afterwards, will be passive. With only four prophets left, each prophet will spend countless hours with one other.
12 days, will be various trials that require collaboration. Only one pair will pass, and the other two will be eliminated.
13 days, will be training for complete and total control over powers. This will help each of the last two prophets reach their full potential.
1 day, the final two will battle each-other in order to decide who the true prophet of magic is.

A: It's very hard to have a backstory when you have been trapped in a temple, for your whole life.
