Estelle was slightly surprised when the Graceling would not allow her to go with any of the guards, who were probably more qualified in protecting her. Especially after what had just happened in the gardens. She was even more surprised by the fact that the girl held her hand. Just this morning, the girl seemed completely unwilling to even meet her eyes was now dragging her through the halls. When they reached her father's chambers, her heart jumped into her throat and she prayed quiet that he was alright. Entering the room, her father looked to them. She let out a sigh of relief to see him alive and well.

She stood quietly behind Loria as she explained to the King her vision and what had happened in the gardens. When she finished, she left the rooms. Estelle looked at her father, she knew they were being left alone because this was to be their goodbyes. The strong face she had kept during the attack crumbled and broke as she burst into tears. She wrapped her arms around her father as he pulled her close. She buried her face in his chest and for some time, the two of them said nothing. They just stood there quietly holding each other. The King broke the silence finally after he kissed her head, "I'm sorry, Estelle..."

Estelle sobbed, clinging to him, "I don't want to go, father... I want to stay here with you. I won't go to the gardens anymore, I promise... Just let me stay."

The King shook his head, "The castle is no longer, Stelle, not just the gardens. If anything happens to me, you are Wester's hope if anything goes wrong... if anything at all happens."

"No... I don't want you do die," She cried, causing him to chuckle and rub her hair, "Everyone must die, my dear... At some point... It is a fact of life that even Kings cannot escape. Kalon and Loria will keep you safe for me... I won't be able to write you... As someone might follow any messenger to find you," He kissed the top of her head, "The army will not be far from the castle. Go to your room and gather your plainest dresses. Then the three of you will leave."

Estelle hugged her father tightly. This was one of the few times she did not get what she wanted.
Elliot laughed a little and smiled as Jacob wrapped his arm around her. She snuggled against him as best she could. She yawned again, "So... We didn't do the boring work that Kyle wanted us to do... So what did we do around here?"

Elliot looked back at him and sat back on the edge of the bed. She looked at him and pulled the pillow off of his face. She looked at him, she wore one of his shirts, which was just long enough to cover her underclothing. She smiled at him, "Surely, you aren't that tired after last night," She teased.
Elliot looked at him as he laid down next to her. She was grinning, on her own, she had remembered something about their past together. He didn't feed it to her, no one had told her previously but she knew. She moved closer to him and rested her head on his chest. She listened to his heart beat, his voice rumbling and the sound of his breathing. She closed her eyes, her body was tired and whatever was flowing from the clear bag probably wasn't to keep her awake. She yawned, "Will you stay here with me?"

She rubbed her eye slowly, "What else did we do?"

Elliot rolled over in the bed and on top of Jacob. She gave the sleeping man a kiss as she sat straddled on him. She patted his chest, "Wakey, wakey," she whispered.

This was the first night they had spent together since she kissed him and told him she loved him. Elliot could probably say that she was a little more than just happy. She kissed his neck once, "Up and at 'em," she said as she started to climbed out of his bed.
Elliot smiled a little as Jacob moved and climbed onto the bed. She watched him as he moved closer to her and just before their lips touched, she closed her eyes. She rose a hand to his neck as he deepened the kiss slightly. Her heart fluttered in her chest as her fingers and toes felt as though they heated up. Laying there kissing him, worries of who she was and is were thrown out the window, along with fears and doubts. She felt... warm...

When their lips parted, she dropped her hand and looked at him, "I missed you..." She didn't know why but she had. She missed the feeling of him wrapping his arms around her or lying in bed beside her or pressing his lips to her's. She missed it. She blinked, "We used to share a bed..."
Elliot shook her head slowly, wincing as she did, "No... You could get caught and old Elliot loved you... If we were to get them back... I wouldn't want them knowing that you were locked away in that facility. Besides... We just got the voice out... I don't want them putting it back in..."

She reached out and managed to grab his hand and looked up at him, "So, we are back to just hoping they aren't all gone from my head.... Kiss me?"
Elliot found herself blushing when he said he still loved her. Although, she was sure he didn't really love her but the person she was, the person she wanted to be. She bit her lip, "But you don't love the person they made me... The one that tried to kill you.... With the voice in my head and everything... You don't love that me... just the old one right?"

She looked toward her door, she would understand if he said yes. Why would you love the person they made her. She wasn't like her old self, she was sure. That was why that woman had pointed the gun at her. She pulled her blankets up to her chin, she wouldn't kiss him in the middle of a fight. Nor would she tend to the wounded. She didn't think she had that instinct in her. She returned her eyes to him, "I know you don't... you never kissed me back... That's what people in love do, right? They kiss each other back."
Elliot laughed a little before it broke into a cough. She smiled at him, "Sounds like something right out of a book..." She tried to think about the memory but nothing came to mind. She didn't beat herself up over it. Everything took time, surely her memories were just hidden somewhere... Jacob would say something struck down the dam and they would all come flowing out. At least, that was what she hoped. She looked up at him, "Did you say 'I love you' back?"
Elliot looked up at him, "You did..." Her voice was weak as she spoke, "There isn't much worse than being killed by the person you loved... That's why you let me break your gun.. you couldn't kill me.... or hurt me..."

She adjusted herself in bed and looked up at him, "If I can start to remember... Tell me about my old life? Maybe... I'll recall something..."
Elliot's eyes opened slowly when she woke, she was drowsy. She saw a small tube running from her arm and up to a clear plastic bag filled with fluid. She wondered what that was about. She then notice that there was a plastic cannula resting under her nose. She rose her hand up and touched it slightly before she dropped it again, to tired to do much more moving. Her lazy eyes then rested on Jacob who sat next to her bed. She did her best to give him a small smile, "Hi," she said quietly. She closed her eyes again, "My head hurts," She complained softly, squeezing her eyes shut.
Elliot saw Jacob start to leave the room and sobbed, "No... no..."

A doctor looked at her and smiled, "Shh, Elliot it is going to be alright, I promise."

She kept struggling crying out no until one of the doctors stuck a needle in her and sedated her. She relaxed entirely, allowing them to stick an IV in her and send anesthesia into her body, putting to sleep. The doctor nodded, "Let's get this done quickly, we don't have much anesthesia left and she won't be the last person who need it."

With that, they began the procedure.
