So, Paladin's questing system is still confusing me a bit. So to be clear, during game play I have to go to pray about half an hour, and declare I am going to do a quest. I then choose my boons out of any of the boons that would help me with quest. I am then given my vows, and I must abide by my vows to keep my boons or I got to get another quest. And what happens when I keep a quest. (And if I can choose different boons every time, I will just use the two on CS as the generic ones I have most of the time and if I am going into a volcano, I am going to replace poison immunity with fire/heat immunity. Or just switch some out for a little while to play around with them)

Your thinking of "Quest" wrong.

The "Quest" is a singular thing you set out to do, for example, "I'm going to go slay that bandit king my lord! For he is evil, I pray that I can find him, and that his blades never break my skin"

Your Lord goes, "Lol, ok. Just don't Lie or be tricky, and actually kill him, no matter what."

You then go to your sheet

Quest: This thing I am doing

Boons:

Unwavering Direction to the Bandit King
Immunity to Edge Weapons

Vows

Valor
Honor

After you kill the bandit king, all that goes away until your next quest, where you get new boons and new vows.

The story!

Long ago the humans and fairies coincided in a forest guarded by the King of the Fairies, a terrifying creature who ruled over the Great Forests. The forest once stretched over an entire continent, and was the largest kingdom of the day. Ancient trees hundreds of feet tall stood at its center and new ones grew every day. The forest spread ever outwards, blanketing the dwarves’ Towering Mountains, and encroached upon the Whispering Plains, and the Frozen North. However, this expansion would cause the downfall of the forest.

The vampires, who called the Frozen North home, grew restless as the forest approached, as did the mages and elves who lived in the Whispering Plains. The emperor of the vampires attempted to persuade the Fairy King to cease the expansion of his domain, but he refused and slayed the impudent vampire. A war broke out between the vampires and the forest dwellers, and the dwarves and mages soon joined in.

For hundreds of years the battle continued. The forests were burned and cut, the humans taken prisoner, and the fairies slaughtered. However, once the forest was whittled back to the trees which had lived since the dawn of time the war cease, for the trees joined in the battle. The eldest part of the forest, now known as the Devouring Wood, was enchanted. Were anyone who wished the forest or its people harm to set foot close enough, roots would drag them underground and their body would be used as fertilizer.

The vampires, dwarves, and mages quickly retreated once they realized this, having lost millions over the centuries. Satisfied with the forest cut back so far, and unwilling to continue, the war drew to a close. However, unrest continued as the humans who were captured were sold as servants to mages or food to vampires, and as the fairies who survived try to reconnect with their families and skittered back to the scattered patches of forest that remained. The world calmed, after a five-hundred-year storm, but not all was as it seemed, for some of those who fought so valiantly did not return the same person as whom they had left and troubling whispers could be heard in the dark.
For this RP we're looking for 5 players max active at a time. It's first come first serve based on when you get your sheet up. We'd appreciate those who know they can play reliably and post frequently. If you join and then must leave for a while or wish to quit, please tell us and we will have your character break off from the group without harming game play and leaving the others hanging. Also, if you're someone who is interested but the game is currently full but you'd like to play when a slot is open, please talk to BlueRose, and she will handle messaging you in the event of an opening. To find out whether or not the RP is full, please check the "Players" info in the second post.

Also, we will be doing this turn-based, as well as operating certain aspects of game-play using a dice/stat system. So if you're interested in a little more structure or definition then the ordinary rp, this is the game for you. On top of that, I should mention your character will be able to die (hence the HP number). If your character dies and you wish to continue playing, you may make a new character.

As always, there are rules. Please read them and be mindful of them. We're not too strict, so don't be afraid, just be mindful.

Since this is a stat-based, tabletop-esque game, we will be using a dice system. This is part of the game, so it's best you read this hider so you know how/when to roll.

Anyways, it's time to create a character, to create a character do the following:

1.) Choose a Class: The Bard, The Cleric, The Druid, The Fighter, The Paladin, The Ranger, The Thief, The Wizard

2.)Fill out the CS for that class:

3.) Gear tags explained: Most of the Gear in DungeonWorld is defined by tags, rather then direct stats, normally it'll have "precise" or "messy" or "heavy" and you're expected to PR that aspect in game. To clarify a bit, here are some commong tags with short definitions! (Feel free to just skip this section, unless a specific tag is confusing!)

When making your CS do not cut out the descriptions of things, you'll want to have them handy when playing.

Example of Finished CS:

The CS's
