That's not just liberals though, that's anyone who buys into dogmatic propaganda and then encounters someone who speaks against those things. I've seen this behavior from liberals, conservatives, and moderates of all kinds. It's not a liberal thing, it's a human thing: if you care about something a lot and then someone attacks it, you tend to lash out at them.
