Ambra glanced up at the others when Helena said her name. Zaino already had the snakeweed in his system, and by now it should be doing a good job at cleaning out his system. Her blue eyes flicked over to Zaino, and then back down at the wound. Now it was simply a gaping gash, not having any of the discoloration it had once before. Poison, dispelled. Yes. She got back to her feet and made a little flourish in her happiness. Of course, she had been a skilled healer… so who was doubting her? The red haired woman laughed as a spontaneous rush of pride washed over her.
”There’s no need for more help.” Ambra’s proud voice was shivering slightly as she got up and looked at Phillip. ”What I just gave a herb called snakeweed to this… Shepherd. It’s meant to clean out poison from his body. He’ll be passed out but… he won’t die.”
She coughed into her hand and watched the horse. The woman liked animals, and this horse was bigger and sturdier than the others that she had seen. No wonder why he had said that the horse could carry most of them. His cute legs were rippling with muscle.
Pain shot through her back and she whimpered loudly as she ran her hand over her lower back. Her eyes squeezed shut and she ground her teeth. That fall from the tree was not good. At least she could walk and feel pain. She heard that you were in for bad news if you couldn’t feel anything. ”He’s a bit hostile, yes, but he’s a person. He needs to be treated like one. Even if he did try to kill me twice...”
Ambra walked to the other side of the horse and tried to get on Andrew’s back. But every time she tried to jump on, pain split through her back and made it very difficult to move. Oww…

Talbot yawned when people continued to ignore him. Welp, that was it, then. That blond woman looked back at them, face lighting up with joy. Or, it seemed like joy. His brow quirked again and then he looked at the knight. He seemed to have been very used to living in the desert. Talbot was making a lot of assumptions. ”Oh, yes, carry the archer. I’m sure he’ll love to be carried by a big, strong man such as yourself.” he smirked at Silas and walked to Ambra. ”Oopsy daisy.” he took her by the waist, making the woman scream loudly. Talbot winced as he put her on the back of the steed. ”The hell was that about? You blew out my ear.”
The mage sighed and turned to Zaino, who was still on the floor. He rubbed his eyes, which were once again irritated by the sand. Talbot hauled the man to the noble steed and- with all his strength –swung him over the back of Andrew. He almost dropped him, but his hands gripped at his clothes and he steadied him. Ambra was at the back, and he was lying over the front. ”Hold on to him. He’ll yowl louder than a wildcat if you let him fall.”
He chuckled as Ambra grabbed onto the unconscious man as if her life depended on it. He brushed some of his sopping hair from his face and pulled off his drooped hat. ”Our camp is the rest of the way up the mountain.” Talbot told him. ”There’s not much shade, but there’s a lot of other Shepherds there.”
Talbot sighed. Maybe that was a bad thing? There had been three fights in the past two days. The camp was overcrowded, and the heat was burning holes into their heads. Game was running low. They would have to leave camp in less than a week to relocate to somewhere that made more food and shade and all of that good stuff.
