Ambra’s eyes were focused on the sharp edge of the blade. A little bit more and she would have been decapitated. The man seemed fairly confused, as he tipped his head and asked if she was one as well. What? He wasn’t the only Shepherd left. Because she was a Shepherd! The woman frowned and dragged herself further away from the situation, if it was only a little bit. Her gaze, misty with fright, glanced over the man now that she did not have a sword in her face. The man was tall, firm with muscle, and had dark hair. Clearly a challenge, especially with the way he held himself. Her eyes flicked to the side, spotting people running up to them. More men, alas they were not nearly as hostile as this one. And then a man with a horse and spear, demanding that they say who they were.
”My name is Ambra.”
The woman heaved herself to her feet, eyes scanning over the men that surrounded her. Ambra offered the mounted knight a strained smile, and then offered it to everyone else. Yet, when she reached Zaino, her smile faded and became more strained. She wasn’t so sure that she should trust him. He had almost killed her twice.
”I’m a Shepherd, yes. I… actually was the first to come here. So you can say I’m a bit more experienced with wandering the deserts.”
She smiled more at Zaino. He was the most hostile so she wanted to make sure that he didn’t see her as an enemy. But then again, she shouldn’t have said anything about being a Shepherd. She did not know the intentions of the mounted man nor the mage and archer that showed up. Ambra was too innocent for her own good.
