i simply take the skull before leaving the arms with him, my aura instantly vanishing as i say "now if you'll excuse me i have someone to massively fuck up" and disappearing, a sonic boom knocking him onto his side as dark side suddenly finds himself receiving an upper breaking the sound barrier and launching him almost into orbit

there's a small click as the mechanism fires and a portion of the wall rises behind the statue, but not enough to slip underneath

How curious. He reaches for one of the clean-looking spots, though he has quite a bit of trouble with his short height. Would it be bad to climb on the statue? It wouldn't break, would it? He doubted he would get into trouble for doing so, but if he did break it...well, he would probably get hurt, and he would feel bad for messing it up as well. Still, maybe if he stretched a little further, he would be able to get there...He pulls himself onto the plinth, standing where the engraving is. From there, he tries again to reach one of the oddly clear spots.

he finds the clean spot to give and seem to activate a mechanism in the statue if he were to press much harder

A bit confused, Stefan checks over the room again before going back to the statue. It seems to be the only object of interest in here as far as he can see right now. He looks over the engraving again, then takes a closer look at the statue itself. He didn't know very much about sculpture, but he figured that perhaps there was some kind of clue on it or in it that even he could figure out. Others like him had managed it, right? So there had to be something.

he finds very little from just examining it, but there are a few places where it looks oddly clean, as if something had been touching it, leaving the eyes crystal clear while the rest of it has moss and grime in various places

Stefan puts the book away for now, and goes to look at the statue. It makes him a bit sad to see it, and he hopes that his own mother will not have to go through the same thing depicted here. He missed her, and the rest of his family. Hopefully, he would somehow survive this and see them again. Looking at the plaque, he can just read it, though the word "initiates" is a bit unfamiliar to him. He decided that he should remember it for later. Without any way out, the young boy starts examining the room.

he finds that aside from the statue, the room is devoid of detail and completely smooth, leaving him to find out what about the room he must interact with in order to exit
