She takes a few deep breaths. After a few minutes, she starts to sense it. "Ok..I'm getting it." She says.

"what does it look like?" he asks evenly, the charge getting more controlled as time goes on

"Nothing......well....I am sorta still pissed at these eyes...." She growls.

"understandable, but try to put aside your anger. if you can clear your mind and do as i ask then you might get a bit of closure" he says evenly, the charge building slightly as time goes on

She does so, but she doesn't sense anything.
"I'm...not getting it..." She says.

"what are you thinking about?" he asks evenly, his voice growing soft as she can feel an odd charge in the air

She lets out a deep breath, and sorta scoots around a bit before remaining still.

"now close your eyes and try to clear your mind. you should begin to sense something inside yourself that you couldn't before" the man says evenly, letting her do as instructed before giving further instructions

"go ahead and get as comfortable as you can" he says evenly, already seeming to sit in a way that suggests meditation

"Well, the general I killed with them was a good friend of his late wife, so it annoyed him greatly....in fact, I was sure he was going to kill me afterwards...." She says. "I have no idea what stopped him....." She adds, as she looks around. "So, what am I going to learn."

She follows him.
"The emperor is starting to get annoyed with my powers. At one point it got bad enough he threatened to blind me himself...." She says, shivering at the thought.

"i don't see why, from his perspective your powers would be of use to him" he says evenly, but she can spot the tiny comforting fluctuation his voice holds as he leads her back to the zen garden

She starts to write, but part way though she stops and hugs him.
"Thanks..." She says, before letting the hug go. She keeps writing, and then walks outside. She whistles, and a different mailman, or woman in this case takes the letter before vanishing.

he's a bit surprised by the hug but goes out after the mailwoman leaves, saying "if your emporer is going to be this impatient i'm going to have to step things up a bit.... unfortunately the day off is also partially canceled. i'm only going to teach you a few things though" he walks back in and gets the door for her, waiting for her to rejoin him

She tenses up, not expecting the hug.
"I..I......I'll message him back.." She says, sighing. "Mind giving me a paper and pen?" She asks.

the man offers her a pen and some paper from pouches on his thigh after letting her go, dipping into an awkward silence after the hug

"Well...hes instructed me that is I do, to not come back to the general's HQ...I take it he is telling me to sink or swim." She growls. "Always pushing the limit....always pushing harder....god, some days..." She starts, as she inches towards the door.

the man actually walks over and hugs her, offering comfort and a small show of friendship as he says "i know it's important, but what we're doing right now is more so. if he wants this done he's going to have to use someone else. you still need at least another month of training before i can ok you for a simple mission" his words might sting but he is speaking the truth and she can hear the faintest bit of concern in his voice as he speaks, his normal calm tone still present but the more she's around him the more she notices the small fluctuations in his speech
