Hello, I'm interested in a casual but literate 1 x 1.

I'd prefer original characters in a high fantasy world we build together as we go. But since we're roleplaying not trying to write groundbreaking fiction I'm fine and actually enjoy highly tropey/stereotyped fantasy cliches that we can twist and make our own as we go.

Note I say as we GO because I think plotting too much ahead or world building the setting before we even write and establish our character chemistry and general writing flow. Because knowing everything in advance or plotting every detail is boring for me at least.

We can come up with basic premise and go from there. I like letting characters create their own reactions and stories.

I'm not picky about length. I can write one paragraph or several depending on how much description the scene requires or how manic I am (ha). Just please give me enough to respond to. And I appreciate enthusiasm but I can't be pressured to pump out novel length responses each time if you're adherent to a longer almost writing a story together style. We're roleplaying not really writing a book together.

I'll write male, female, non binary characters. I'm not into furries or people with tails other than anthro race NPCs like Chewbacca sidekicks or kingdom of lizard people our characters may visit. Shape shifters and weres are okay but my human character won't do anything besides give them puppy dog belly rubs while they're in that form.

I'm not triggered by adult or difficult subject matter. I have a dark sense of humor and some of my characters can be Pervy minded flirts. Violence in feudal medieval like societies is to be expected but I don't like all grimdark and enjoy Joss whedon-esque level of peppering tragedy drama and saving the world with cute funny and lighter more slice o life moments when they're not getting sliced.

I like romance but unless I get to know your writing style and trust you aren't just using this as a fetishy way to get your rocks off (sorry too many icky experiences) let's RP on the public message boards and fade to black like a network cable TV show before we get back to the ass kicking, witty dialogue and mystery solving.

I cannot promise I'll reply every day especially if the typical responses are longer than a few paragraphs, but I'll return replies throughout the week and check in. I'm kind of standoffish and awkward OOC about getting to know you personally I'm fine if we just have a writing partnership without getting personal. Or if a good rapport builds we could wind up becoming good internet buds. I just can't offer my emotions and focus too much on forging friendships or being a support system like has been expected from me from RP partners in the past.

Let's just play pretend eh? I haven't wielded my words the way I've wanted I a long time. Help me hone my sword!

Here are some fantasy characters I've created. I haven't written them anywhere else.

The character sheets I wrote are admittedly kind of long and rambly. I'll add more characters but I'd really like to get a line going for each.

If you don't wanna comb through all the background info, in short my characters are:

Ilharassa: Female dark elf healer apprentice living on the surface world to attend college of magic after abandoning her High Priestess training. Trying to be human and awkward af about it from her shadowy self serving social conditioning amid the houses of dark elf nobility

Talis: Male human dungeon punk and a wizard bard who sings about bringing anarchy instead of glory to the realm and uses a combination of poetry, comedy and song to try to over throw kingdoms while being thrown out of taverns.

Nephele: Human female adopted by sky pirates to be a pick pocket, smuggler and scout. Now she's an Archer, alchemy firecracker, and Ranger of the Realm whose spirit animal and flying mount is a lazy candy addicted barn owl griffin named Barnabas who tries mating with unicorns because he thinks he is one.

Message me if you're interested. I prefer to RP 1x1 on the public message boards here.

Talis Skeldan
High Fantasy RP

Talis was a 'dungeon punk' the medieval high fantasy equivalent of a crust punk. Except he hops flying castles instead of trains, plays a lute while he loots and an ocarina instead of a banjo and harmonica, and he croons dark ballads about bringing anarchy rather than glory to the kingdom.

Contrary to rumors he's possessed by demons, banished fairy prince or a hobgoblin trickster spirit, Talis is a fully human wizard. Though he prefers calling himself a bard. Wizards read books. Bards live stories.

Before he became a dungeon punk, one man band, and started mosh pits in pits of doom Talis was a human changeling in servitude to a cruel Fey Queen. Rather than continue allowing himself to be her punchline punching bag and continue playing the Fool, the jester stopped making a mockery of himself, and made a mockery of the Queen and the Fey nobility in front of a feasting hall in her honor.

She threatened to decapitate him, but his scathing satirical performance made heads roll in laughter instead. Somehow he escaped to continue mocking mock kings.

Using a combination of poetry, comedy and song, Talis' tongue is sharper than any sword as he infamously is the first anarchistic bard to sing AGAINST the heroes and kingdoms sovereignty. Rather than recite ballads about his own heroism and chivalry, he prefers music and art relaying his failures and misdeeds, and he'll keep getting thrown out of taverns and kingdoms until he's overthrown this fractured fairy tale feudalism.

Talis draws his wizard wit and innate arcane arts from the temporary glyph and rune tattoos winding throughout his body. He uses a form of blood magic inecting highly addictive faerie glamours into his veins which change the alchemical properties in his body. The effects of the different runes he carves into his skin fade within three days and the side effects are at least a days worth of undergoing bodily fatigue, weaker magical abilities, sleeplessness, and soul crushing depression he calls 'the blackening.' Though he tends to craft his most creative charms in the darkest moments. And eventually the after glow from the glamour mixed with blood magic returns and keeps him in constant cycles of creativity and destruction.

It's not that Talis is particularly gifted when it comes to composing music, singing, or dancing. But magic is a performance for him, and like any true bard knows, it's not the tune or the melody or the rhyming scheme that matters. It's belief in the power that words can inspire others and become spells which imbues a bard with the power to create or destroy the fabric of reality.

Aside from his runic tattoos, ability to see through illusions and glamour, bardic talents and enchanted instruments, Talis' main weapon of choice is a rapier style talking floating sword called Silver Tongue which occasionally hums along with his singing, snorts in laughter, or boos with whatever crowd turns against him until the only way of getting the sword to shut up is to turn it on himself and swallow it.

He usually finds a disenchanted fan or tavern wench groupie to come to his aide wherever he goes.

Nephele is a roguish tomboy who can't hold onto a coin or a relationship. Growing up in the aether kingdom port city as an orphan thief, she searched the stars for the smugglers who groomed her without ever combing her hair, as much as searching for her parents who even today she naively believes lost her by accident instead of abandoned her at Port.

Nephele is more street wise than booksmart. She has her own chaotic moral code, but her loyalty is as boundless as the sky if she's under your employment, your roof, or your bed sheets for the night. Unfortunately even as a Ranger of the Realm she tends to sleep with the scoundrels she's supposed to police. But if they're spending the night with her, they aren't committing any crimes at least. Right?

She loves gambling on everything from her life to rolling dwarven dice to drinking card games and betting on aether jousting. She used to avidly bet on cockatrice fighting and dragon racing but due to the empathic nature Ranger training has opened her main mission as a Ranger at the moment is shutting down black market beastiary rings and returning the creatures to their homes. She's been guilty of releasing animals the Rangers Guild instructed her needed to be slayed because slaughtering them only slays her. But so far, there were only one or two reports of burning villages and reports of children and maidens gone missing ....

As a recently certified Ranger she's received a mix of magical and martial training. She's gotten better at using her elven bow made with combinations of Pegasus and harpy-fletched feathers and it's arrowheads are dipped in poisonous basilisk venom which stuns whatever target it pierces. For other weaponry she has throwing knives, duel wielding daggers, and a number of explosive flasks (which she's thankfully never mistaken for alcohol) throwing powders and dwarven firecrackers dangling from her tool belt.

Nephele became a Ranger of the Realm rather by accident. She met a mysterious stranger in a tavern where she worked as a serving wench. After a few passionate nights and drunken flings, the stranger tried to vanish from her life as mysteriously as he arrived.

And to make a long story short, Nephele utilized her pirate port city underworld above world connections. She hunted and tracked him down and stalked him as game so impressively, he revealed he was a Ranger of the Realm when she uncovered him camping by the Rangers headquarters atop mist covered mountain ranges of dense enchanted forest. Part forest sages, guardians, hunters and beast masters who forswear allegiance to their kingdom to serve the entire realm and every magical creed or creature, but protected the nature of whatever land their feet stood upon above all.

He asked her to join the call of the wilds (even if he never really wanted to call her again) and undergo apprenticeship to become a certified Ranger of the Realm. She took his elven crafted bow as a trophy because the arrows of love he pierced her with yet did not pull out still stung.

Nephele knew she would never let another man pull the hood over her eyes again. Because she'd be hooded then too.

Every Ranger has their own animal companion and flying mount gifted to them as eggs who imprint upon them when they're hatchlings to form an unbreakable bond. Barney can't speak in the human or common tongue, but Rangers are trained to telepathically communicate with their mounts.

Nephele's flying mount is a male barn owl griffin named Barnabas, or Barney for short. For some embarrassing reason, Barney thinks he's a unicorn instead of an owl griffin, and tries mating with unicorns whenever he sees them (but he's skittishly scared of normal horses) which makes Nephele's encounters with holy pure paladin knights being humped whilst astride their white mystical steeds rather awkward since Rangers and Paladins frequently converge in council meetings.

In spite of being a chubby, lazy, most cowardly uncombative during actual combat unicorn mating mount ever, Barney is Nephele's best friend. And he's given her more than just a mount. He's given her a family and a home no matter where she goes. So she gives him belly rubs and marshmallow treats shaped like the clouds they soar high above.

Ilharess Deuleur
High Fantasy OC

Ilharess abandoned her High Priestess training in the dark elf underworld city once she had an epiphany and realized magic came from power within HERSELF, not from worshipping the dark mother goddess.

All she wants is to attend the College of Sorcery as an apprentice mage. But even after being accepted, can Ilharess accept never being truly accepted by her fellow mages? Majority of whom are human, gnome and high elven-kind and all of whom prefer peering into grimoires rather than their own darkness as she has?

Although it doesn't come naturally to her, she undergoes healer training if only to prove to the humans, but more to herself that she can turn the spider gods venom from poison which kills into medicine that rebirths her.

Ilharess is ambitious, mysterious, moody, seductive yet shy when it comes to romance rather than manipulating others lust, and she's terribly awkward and insecure when she's not in control of social situations and her emotions.

She prefers studying outside during night and is fascinated by the moon and the stars from having been sheltered by the surface world so long.

She often unknowingly offends those from lighter races with her maccabe dark elven humor. She also has a knack for taming monstrous creatures that surface worlders consider predators because where she's from they're pets.

She has a special affection for wolf bats which are her spirit animal rather than the spider heraldry common to her bloodlines house. And she has a skeletal androgynous sylph alchemy air spirit with etheric moth-like wings named Claws who's kind of like her Tinkerbell from hell.
I'm back from a long RPing hiatus, and mostly looking to dust my writing skills off.

I'm mostly looking for 1x1 Harry Potter, Avatar the Last Airbender, high fantasy, and paranormal romance lines. Reality slice of life simply don't do it for me.

I'm female IRL but portray male, female and even non-binary characters.

Message me if you're interested in RPing on the boards :)
