Guess who has power!
Well this is fantastic, my power is out (writing this from my phone). I don't know wan it will come back up, hopefully soon, but I will try and make do with this
Gilfred took a deep breath as he exited the cave, and grimaced slightly at the difference in air quality from the cave to the outside. In the cave the air was sweet, light, and overall pleasant. Out here however, among the waste a pollution, the air was thick, and the very act breathing it caused a slight burning in his lungs. He glanced down at the Respirator around his neck, tempted to pull it on to at least help himself acclimatize back to the air outside. but after a few moments of thought he decided against it, the canisters that it used were worth their weight in money in some places and he only had a few, better to save them for the worst areas of pollution. Instead he took a few deep breaths and held the air in his lungs for a few seconds before exhaling. He did this about three times until the burning began to abate, taking his grimace with it.

Turning around he was about to call back to his brother, who was taking his sweet time getting out of that cave, when he heard some of the scrap in pile next to him shift and fall. Closing his eyes he detached two slivers from shatter, exhaling he opened his eyes. Whirling around he came face to face with a fox, only this fox was shaped like a lion mixed with a greyhound, keeping the muscle density of the lion and the sleekness of the hound. It wasn't quite as big as a lion, but it was much bigger than a greyhound. But it's size, or body wasn't even the oddest thing about it, that honor belonged to the eagle talons that replaced its front paws.

Gilfred and the creature stared at eachother for a good time, until a huge smile broke out across Gilfred's face "You shouldn't sneak up on me like that Gawain. I was this close to giving you a couple of lethal piercings" Gilfred held up his right hand and the two blade shaped slivers of Shatter that he had released on impulse returned to the gauntlet, once more making it a seamless piece. Gawain broke into his own version of a grin, his eyes lighting up and his tongue rolling out the side of his mouth. Turning Gilfred chuckled as Gawain made his way down to stand next to him, that was when the sound of roaring water caught both of their attentions.

Turning the two caught the sight of the wall of water carrying the trailers out of the cave.

"You MUST stop this. You MUST succeed. I decided, If ever you will need me, just call me with your powers and I will come flying. There are many ways of communicating with me, but all ways are associated with your powers."
Now Wolgran smiled, again, and even laughed a bit.
"And make sure you don't leave me out of the big battles, specially the final fight"

Gilfred smiled as the old man spoke, something about the sheer hope he had in his voice, alongside what sounded like the want for a bit of revenge. Walking back to the others he found that Will, Shida and the ice elemental were all standing together. It had looked like Will and Shida had been talking, but now Cora looked like she was asking Shida something as she held what looked like a cigar. Smiling at the situation of how even the most random and basic of things can bring others together, Gilfred and Gawain walked past the three to help the washed out elementals to their feet. He first reached out his hand to help the Flora Elemental up, Thema he thought she said her name was. "What a way to start a long walk huh?" He said with an honest smile "I don't think we've been properly introduced, i'm Gilfred. At your service."

Gilfred was stunned, staring at the spot that once contained a person. Though he been able to get out of the way of the worst of it, the Aegis still shimmered around his body, almost as if it arose in response to the mass of light and not to any physical harm. As the Aegis dissipated he began to come to grips with what he had just seen. "I should have known there was a catch. There's always a catch." He though to himself, a hint of anger creeping into his internal voice, anger not at the world at himself. Anger that he couldn't have done anything except stand there and avoid the dome of light. Taking a deep breath he shook himself free of the stationary position he had kept, the others were moving on, making more plans, it was not yet time to wait and dwell.

He joined the rest, who seemed to have decided on splitting up, and causing distractions to draw out the Vygorns. Gilfred listened quietly, committing the forming plan to memory when he herd Kimberly yell out at someone. Turning to look he saw the figure of someone entering, more importantly he was entering with a knife of light. Even though he was far enough away and the others had it in hand, Gilfred's hand fell unconsciously to his sword. As the exchange progressed his grip tightened, until the old man came over and intervened. Even through the old mans terrifying display of anger Gilfred's hand remained, it stayed on the hilt of the sword until everyone had calmed, at which point it returned to his side and continued to listen as the plan unfolded. At the end of it, confident he knew what was required of himself Gilfred walked back to where he had slept and began gathering together what he brought with him to the Haven, the broken knife and a small weather worn pack, on the side of which hung a Half Respirator mask. "If we are finished planing we should head out soon. That is if we want to make the allotted time" He called over to the others, walking towards the entrance himself , pulling the Respirator Mask off of his pack. "Places to be and things to kill." he thought with a smile as he put the mask on.
Ill try and get a post up as asap, sorry yesterday was very busy for me
Gilfred reluctantly woke from some of the first restful sleep he had in a while, he groggily opened his eyes as he pulled himself into a sitting position, and then from there to his feet. Yawning widely he took his share of the food, his stomach growling for real food and not the MRE's he had been eating. Taking a bite of egg and cheese he chewed thoughtfully and cleared his head as his usual alertness began to break through the heavy veil of his unwillingness to wake up entirely. Looking around the cave he was glad to note that most of the others were in fact there, and had not left in the night,. He finished with this as the old man began to speak, but his attention wavered as a glint from the table caught his eyes. Amongst the staffs, knifes and other such things sat two plate gauntlets, each on either side of a sheathed broadsword. His interest piqued Gilfred stepped up to the objects, the brass colored gauntlets shimmered in the dim light, the silver shard and inlaid designs catching the light. Without much of a second thought Gilfred slipped the two gauntlets unto his arms. When they were on completely each began to tighten, becoming the perfect size for Gilfred’s lower arms. ”Very… interesting.” He thought to himself, amazed a large smile on his face as he inspected the two pieces of armor. Both hummed against his skin, their powers mixing with his own. Reaching out once more Gilfred grasped the sword and unsheathed it with one fluid movement, the metal making a rasping sound as it cleared the leather. The blade was about 40 inches long, and shone with the same high polish, broken only in the bottom 12 inches where expertly inscribed vertical old English script simply spelled out the name of the blade, ”Clarent”. The hilt and crossbar were standard shape, made up of a slightly darker steel and dark wood coverings for the hilt, its ornamentation came from a piece of iron set in the pommel. Returning the sword to its sheath, Gilfred belted it around his waist and went to once more talk with the others, someone had to have a plan.

As he left the table and wandered back to the main group he saw his brother, Will, talking to Shida about something. He didn’t think much of it until he was next to will and Shida made his, slightly crass, in Gilfred’s opinion, proposition. That was when he was nudged by Will, who uttered the famous words, "Yo, check this out..." This simple expression made Gilfred grimace slightly, as it usually meant something funny,or chaotic, or both, was about to occur due in no small part to his brother. He was proven right when the orb of water came crashing down on Shida’s head, eliciting a grin and snicker from Gilfred. Shaking his head he stepped to the sides as things began to escalate.

“Play nice” he said in a half joking tone as he began to walk away, keeping side glance on the pair incase it got out of control . Letting the two go at it he joined the group discussing tactics. As he listened he found that the main plan seemed to be to split up and hit both Riverdale and Rock Hill at midnight.

"I agree with Beau. We're going to need to split up if we want to do the most damage this early in the game."

Gilfred nodded in agreement as Aerilyn spoke. The plan did make the most sense, hit two supply points, one a production point and split the attention of the Vygorns. Split their attention, split their forces. Split their forces, better survival chance and slower reaction time. “You can count my vote with the two of yours” He said after a few moments of mental deliberation.
Post should be up tonight
well shoot. Well send me a message if you ever do this again, I'd probably be up for it
Gilfred leaned against the cave wall, and listened, an impassive look never leaving his face as he listened to everyone. From what he heard two lines were beginning to form, those that wanted to carry out the mission given to them, and those that preferred it to go alone. He sighed, standing straight from the wall, as he walked forward towards the fire , his mind raced with what to do, as both camps had expressed valid points. As he reached the fire he pulled a folding knife from his pocket, it was a simple knife, its blade scored and chipped, he had found it out in the wastes and had taken a liking to it, in this state it couldn't harm a fly, yet he still kept it. Turning it over in his hand he looked into it, as if it would somehow know what to do. He kept his eyes fixed on the blade, even as it slowly rose from his hand to balance on what little of a tip remained in the palm of his hand. "If we do this in earnest, we must remember that it will be bloody, old powers falling to new powers always are." He paused, as his head rose to track Aerilyn, before continuing "That means in the end we will only truly have each-other, against all of the odds. That we must chose to do this, and stay true to that conviction." Gilfred paused for a moment before shaking his head before looking at each of the members around the fire "Gone are the days of being alone, it appears we have lost that luxury. I suppose that Franklin said it best "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately"." His gaze finally settled on his brother, one of the only people he truly trusted, Gilfred nodded to him before turning back to the group "So I suppose, for necessity's sake, I am with you."
