Gilfred listened to the plan as the morning sun came over the horizon, it's light already starting a steady rise in heat, a rise that the metal elemental found quite nice from the cold of the night. He yawned involuntarily as the lack of sleep touched on the edges of his mind, shaking his head Gilfred brushed the heavy concept out of his mind, he had more important things to worry about. From what he could hear, it sounded like he the Thema were to be two back up for the main raid group and as body guards for Aerilyn as she distracted the Vygorns. He understood this well, and though he would have like to have been part of the initial assault, accepted what he was supposed to do. Walking to his place he awaited the signal that would begin things, the now almost familiar weight of his sword keeping his hand steady as his mind raced through all different possibilities of what might transpire, most of which involved death. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath, counting down he eased his nerves. Confident that all thoughts and nerves were settled and steeled, Gilfred let out the held breath, only to have it ripped from his lungs. His eyes snapping open in response to the sudden void of oxygen, he staggered forward as the wind buffeted him. He drew in ragged breaths as he looked forward, what he saw both amazed and on a a small level terrified him. He watched in awe, grabbing something solid to help keep himself up right as the whirlwind. As it advanced towards the enemy a grin began on his face and he gripped Clarent tighter, today, today was going to be a good day.
Very nice
Petruccio shivered involuntarily as he arrived at his home, the cold rain beginning to soak through his heavy robes to his clothing underneath. The cart came to a creaking halt as a thunderclap boomed across the sky, drawing both the attention of the tired horse and the tired doctor to the sky. If there ever was a sign God was displeased with something the rolling boom, that shook even the glass in Petruccio's mask, would have been a perfect indicator. Hurrying himself down from the drivers seat, as the heavy rain picked up, the young doctor grabbed the reigns and lead the cart and old horse into the stable provided by the city. Removing his mask he set about unhitching the cart and taking care of the sopping horse before collecting his mask, dashing into his home, closing and bolting the door behind him. After stoking the fire back to life, and lighting a few candles, Petruccio set about removing his soaked robes, hanging them next to the fire to dry. As the clothes began to dry, steam rising from them and curling up and into the rafters, Petruccio set a small pot of water on the fire to warm, after which he retrieved a large bowl, a small earthenware jar and a small rough cloth. Opening the jar reveled the sharp smell of vinegar, which he poured a small amount of into the bowl. Carefully retrieving the pot, he tipped it's hot contents into the bowl as well, mixing the two together into a two to one ratio of water and vinegar. Dipping the cloth in the solution, Petruccio began to wipe away the sweat of the day.

After a few minutes he set down the rag and sighed, putting his head in his hands. He was exhausted, both physically and emotionally, the combination of the plague victims and the battle wounded were taking a heavy toll on all of the doctors in the city, what little there were, and Petruccio was no exception, even now his eyes closed slowly as the comfort of rest seemed to call to him. Yet he could not succumb to the exhaustion that toyed with his mind, not this close to the waxing of the full moon. He felt it there, as always, sleeping beneath his skin, growling and waiting, waiting for his will to slip even an inch, waiting for the call of the moon, even now it stirred out of hunger and the approaching full moon. Petruccio gritted his teeth and forced it back to sleep. Standing he quickly gathered together some dried meat, bread, and some thin stew from this morning that had warmed from the fire. He ate all of it ravenously, ripping the meat off in large mouthfuls, which were followed by swallows of stew and mouthfuls of bread. The sight was over in mere moments, Petruccio letting out a contented sigh as he swallowed the last of it. "That should keep it satiated for a while. he thought to himself, and from what he could tell he was right, for now, the beast had abated in its rousing, its hunger no longer felt. Finally able to admit defeat, Petruccio doused the fire with what remained of the vinegar solution, and climbed the stairs to his bedroom, falling forward into his bed at the first opportunity, quickly detaching himself from the world, at least temporarily, in sleep.

Still here :D
If that's alright, I would have no problems
oooh interesting
Gilfred grinned as he sheathed Clarent, it all had gone well after all. Thema and her plants were very effective, as well were the others. All in all it was a lesion to the Metal elemental that speed was sometimes more important, and that he couldn't take all the traits of his element. Laughing at the thought his hand fell to scratch the head of Gawain, which had never left his side but was now in a more relaxed state. "One hell of a fight eh Will?" He called over to where he had last seen his brother, a slight laugh in his voice. As the seconds ticked by Gilfred turned, half expecting to see him talking to Shida or one of the others, so when he saw that their was nobody there he wrote it off as that, shrugged it off, and began looking over the desiccated remains of one of the scouts, which were still smoldering.

"I know the one I fought is still alive", he heard Phil tell the others "What do we want to do with him... It?"

Breaking his gaze from the scorched body Gilfred walked over to the Light elemental and his unconscious prisoner. He had all intention of letting the others what to do with this one, but there was something that needed doing. Reaching out into nearest garbage pile with his powers Gilfred located a small amount of small metal appliances and parts, as wall as a couple of shopping carts and a bunch of cans. Holding out his left hand, palm up, he crouched in front of the Vygorn. He began pulling the metal towards him, flattening it into wires, or breaking it into wires with Shatter, as the case may be. But all of the various wires began to run across, his left palm, and Unity began to heat up as it cold forged them into two large wires that wove their way around the Vygorn's hands and feet securing them tightly. As each finished tieing the hands and feet, Gilfred reached over and finished the job by fusing the ends of the wires.

Satisfied he stood and gave the light elemental a polite nod, turning once more to look at the others. They all looked alright, no worse for ware, all save for the Ice elemental and his brother who he noticed were not there. A confused look flashing across his face Gilfred began to make his way over to the others, when he heard a small splash emanate from one of his foot falls. Looking down his look of confusion deepened and the leaned down to dip one of his hands in the puddle, it had not rained recently, and even if it had it would have been acid rain, undrinkable. Yet, here on the ground was an expensive commodity out here, pure water, it's sheen catching the dim predawn light. Looking around he noticed another puddle on the road, and then another one, each one adding to his confusion. That's when he heard it

"Alright, screw the plan, we need to go rescue Cora as a team."

And at that point the reason behind the disappearance of his brother and the Ice elemental, as well as the puddles all clicked in his head. If the the Ice elemental had run off, or was captured, then Will... Gilfred clenched his fist at his side, what water that remained on the gauntlet ran through his fingers and dripped on the ground, "The idiot ran after her alone, didn't he?" He questioned himself. Unclenching his fist, Gilfred calmed himself down and spoke out in an even tone, his eyes darting from puddle to puddle, "I'm coming as well, and I can tell you exactly where they went."
