“We should get some rest,”
Gilfred stopped and nodded, silently grateful to Thema for the pause. He slouched forward as he nearly collapsed into the pile of stuff that she had moved out for him, giving a small chuckle as he did so. Taking a deep breath, he felt a dull throb begin in his side, suppressing a grimace Gilfreid instead closed his eyes and concentrated on getting at least some modicum of rest for as long as he was seated. As he sat there, his eyes closed, a small, content smile crept unto his face. Truth be told this was the most comfortable pile of stuff he had ever sat in, perhaps it was something with the pile, or perhaps it was something with the company probably seated in a pile close to him, but he was content to sit here for a good while longer.

“Lay down… and take your shirt off,”
Gilfreds eyes opened slowly, instinctively into a questioning look. His mind raced for an answer as to why, his eyes darting this way and that, as if to find the answer written on the back of her head. He opened his mouth and drew a breath as if to give his questions voice, but was cut off as the Plant Mage shot over her shoulder "“and don’t get any funny ideas either.” Closing his mouth he smiled and chuckled, for some reason beyond what his tired brain could think of at the time, he trusted her. "As you so command." he said, the smile still on his lips. Taking a deep breath, which set the aching throb off again, Gilfred brought himself to his feet and set about untieing Clarent from around his waist. With that finished he lay it next to the pile and moved on to the gauntlets, each coming off with a slight metallic click. Placing those alongside the long-sword he shrugged off his semi torn up duster and set about removing his shirt. As his hands got above his head however a sharp ache shot through his left shoulder, he paused for a moment, unable to suppress the grimace this time, but finished pulling off his shirt. The culprits of the different aches sat plain as day, two large bruises were already forming, one on his left shoulder and another on his right ribs, already a deep purple/black.
It appeared that the alien had gotten a couple shots in, and the force of its blows had been enough to bruise, even through the armor. A short "Huh." was all Gilfred gave the thought as he looked at the two bruises as he laid down on his back, and closed his eyes, "Probably need better padded clothing, what do you think?" He asked, a smile once more coming to him.

Name: Codlata "The Mad God", "The god of dreams"

Age: Nobody really knows, it is not even certain Codlata itself remembers. Though what is known is that Codalata has always been tied closely with humanity and the other races of the world, so perhaps it's beginning is also tied with theirs.

Gender: Usually has no determinable gender, but will often refer to itself using male pronouns or plural pronouns for the sake of simplicity

Appearance:

Personality: A good way to explain his personality would be, erratically well natured. This means that while he may usually hold no malice toward someone or something, his version of "help" may or may not actually help a situation. Not only that but his help can also be subject to his whims, this means that he may help as much as he can in a small endeavor but help very little in a large endeavor. Also, he always seems unshakably, and even unnervingly happy.

Motivation: Codlata is obsessed with finding what it calls, it's "song". This "song" has been the center of the dream gods obsessions one searches for longer than most can remember. Few know exactly what the song is, to them it is just that, a song or an object that become known to the god as the song. But among the Temple's highest members it has been theorized, from various texts, that the song is infact a special tune made by a certain soul. Who or what possesses this soul is still an unknown but still the Dream god searches for it.

Likes and Dislikes: As random as the thoughts of Codlata, what may be the likes of today, or this moment, may be the reviled and hated the next.

Origin/Bio: *Excerpt from "The book of the Everdream" as translated by the first of the Dreamers*
- So it was, that when the creators of the world had finished their work they stood back, each admiring the work of their hands, their children and the last notes of the music of creation. When all were satisfied with how everything had be wrought, they found themselves tired and set themselves to sleep. As they slept they dreamt, their minds and the minds of their children spinning stories, sending new thoughts into the peaceful realm we call sleep. Little did they know that as they dreamt, that the final chords of creation found these aimless thoughts, these unfinished tapestries of the mind, and set about giving them form, as was it's purpose. As a new day dawned and the creators, as well as their children, stirred, ending the flow of dreams, the song of creation began to fade for the last time, it's weaver of dreams ready for the next night.

But the weaver, now called Codlata by the others, was unhappy. For it was alone in it's task, weaving peaceful and happy dreams for all, and as time went on more and more dreams were needed, the weaver made a mistake. He allowed his loneliness and unhappiness to poison the threads of dreams, turning them dark, unruly.

The first nightmares.

They spread like wildfire among the mortals, sleep no longer holding any promise of peace, even Codlata's siblings found their own dreams darkening and turning restless. Many wished for an end to the nightmares, but none knew what to do to stop the darkness the weaver had submerged into. That was until a song emerged, a special song, a pure song, that traveled to the weaver's home. There the song stayed, and in time the nightmares subsided, Codlata having embraced this song into his weaving. But the song began to fade, and fearing a return of the nightmares, came to the mortals and gathered together a group. This group was to serve Codlata in the waking world, keeping the weaver from tainting the threads once more. As the song finally faded away it left it's dreamers behind. Ever since the weaver has spun dreams, and nightmares, the latter no longer from unhappiness, but from a need of balance.

*The excerpt ends*

Oath: The Temple of dreamers are sworn to serve Codlata in the "Waking world" in exchange for various things, some want power, while others want more simple things. In any case, Codlata usually gives some form of what they ask for, but like all dealings with the Mad god this is a mixed bag. The final fate for all Temple members is to join Codlata in the Everdream

Abilities and Possessions

Physical Form: 3 (Is a strong shapeshifter, and even it's normal form is deceptively sturdy)

Mastery of Magic: 4 (Illusions/ Mind affecting magic, dream/nightmare control, and Reality influence *more descriptions to can be supplied*)

Animus Domain: 2 (The Everdream: This AD takes the form of a huge medieval style ballroom that stretches off for an indiscernible distance in both directions, with no sight of any entrances or exits. The light of the Everdream s in a state of perpetual early night shadow. the candles on the walls and chandeliers are all unused, and refuse to be lit. The only proper light comes from small orbs that float around the entirety of the AD. These are the dreams of humanity, each one belonging to a different individual. They can be looked at as is or they can be placed in any of the large windows in the hall for a bigger view. Sleeping forms line the sides of the floors, these are the souls of Dreamer members, and some will sometimes rise to help the Dream god with a task if needed. Some figures lay in the middle of the floor, these are adventurers, explorers, and perhaps a hero or two of old who for some reason or another came to the Everdream and succumbed to it's effects. The Everdream is unique in that potent mortal psychics can access it via special rituals paired with lucid dreams, though this is concidered one of the only "safe" ways a mortal can enter the Everdream for if a mortal was to ever physically enter the Everdream they would begin to feel drowsy, exhausted, and eventually succumb to sleep within the AD, keeping them suspended there.)

Souls: 1 (The Temple Of Dreamers, a secret society made up of many normal mortals)
