Charles is still firing off shots when he sees the flare fired at him, it falls short and sets the wall on fire. he keeps running at it knowing if he dies he will be with his son again, and if he makes it he can redeem himself in the eyes of god. he keeps running and gets within 5 meters of the fire and knows he cant turn back now. he hits it with a good lot of speed and keeps running after the people shouting and whistling as he goes for zombies, to him these people are worse than the bandits that kill for survival.
