Returning from a big Hiatus [1x1 ideas inside - MxM/MxF]

Hello all! I've been gone for about 6-8 months due to various reasons, but I'm back, and with a fresh set of ideas!

Rules:
1. I do disappear from time to time, I will do my best to make it clear if I'm going to be gone for a longer period, I ask the same.
2. I may not post every single day due to limited computer access. Please be patient with me.
3. I always play male. This is non-negotiable.
4. I also always play original characters. This is also non-negotiable.
5. I expect good English spelling and grammar, not because I'm harsh, but because I don't want to have to struggle to read whatever reply I'm getting to my posts.
6. RPs should be fun, but also interesting and engaging. In that regard, I try for more original storylines and subplots where possible. If you have an idea for a twist, feel free to put it forward and we can flesh it out if we think it works.

Now, to the ideas!
Most of my ideas at the moment are just pairings, but I will list some fleshed out ideas when I have a chance.

Shadow Beasts

Shadow beasts are beings that lurk in the shadows, come out at night and eat people (much like the Vashta Nerada of Doctor Who) They are dangerous beings who target lone humans, devouring them. However, there is one shadow being who is not like the others. He protects humans from his kin. He isn't sure why he's different, but he's just as powerful, if not moreso, as his counterparts. He uses his abilities to protect humans, usually without them knowing, however, one human (your character), wakes up in the middle of the night, and witnesses the shadow showdown in their bedroom. Once the battle is over, my character makes himself known, explaining the situation to the human, who asks him not to leave. He develops somewhat of a connection to this human, but so do his enemies. They don't like losing their prey, and they see this as a challenge...

The Grand Return!

Lords, Ladies and Variations thereupon,

I come to you, this fateful today, to return to the fold of the Roleplayer Guild.

After a pretty long hiatus, I thought I may as well re-introduce myself.

I am vampiricchild, but feel free to call me Orion. I'm a novelist/transcriber, I have ongoing anxiety and recently came back from a pretty bad bout of depression (hence the disappearing act). My issues sometimes stop me from getting online for periods at a time, but I do try my best to explain and keep people in the loop.

In terms of roleplaying, I've been doing that for about 8 years (and creative writing for 9), I generally stick with 1x1 RPs because group RPs go way too fast for me to keep up with them. I've always enjoyed RPing and writing in general, so it's nice to be getting back to doing what I love.

Alex was still somewhat on edge, his entire body tensed, ready to spring into action at a moments notice. He knew he needed to be cautious. He knew Luc and Nyaira, and he knew that they were up to something that could spell danger for everyone. They weren't small time, petty people. They were end-of-the-world people. "Yeah, I know where we are." He told her. "The university campus is about a mile north of here." He said, shrugging. "I would suggest avoiding your more obvious places, but it would appear they can find you regardless, so we need to work on that as well, at some point."

Alex nodded. "Indeed, that is true. But there is likely more to it than that. I mean your ability is much more common among supernaturals. It's got to be something more. And with Luc, there's always more. It's more likely there's some power he wants, something that you hold the key to." He sighed, running a hand through his hair, his eyes full of frustration. "Why is it never simple?"

Alex mused as he walked. "Something tells me that they will be regrouping. Nyaira invading at Illyad's didn't seem at all planned, it was too... messy. And I doubt Luc will be happy that she did something that impulsive." He thought about the situation and sighed. "Of course when they do mobilise, they will be trying somewhat harder. Of course, it would be nice to know exactly why they are so interested in you."

Alex quietly chuckled before walking toward the end of the empty street. His eyes were constantly flicking around them, aware that anyone could be around. He wasn't sensing anyone around them, but there was magic that could make that happen. "Anywhere specific in mind?" He asked. "There's plenty of places to eat pretty much all over." He turned to face Victoria, but his eyes were still scanning for signs of life in the seemingly abandoned street.

Hi there!

Once again I am seeking a couple of 1x1 RPs. I'm particularly craving MxM pairings, but will do MxF as well.

Alex chuckles. "Gravity means nothing when you have magic on your side." He said, before leaping out of the window, keeping a tight grip on Victoria's legs as he did so, keeping her pinned to his body. They sailed through the air before landing with a thump on the sidewalk below. He let go of Victoria's legs and waited for her to get off his back patiently, aware that she may be somewhat in shock at the sudden fall.

Alex shrugged. "I'm impatient. So sue me." He chuckled as he easily lifted her onto his back.

As he stood, Alex sighed. "It's so nice to hear about how much faith you have in me. Can you, for once, trust me? If there was any chance of you being injured I wouldn't be doing this. Even in the unlikely event that you were to fall, and I couldn't shield you from the impact, you have other protections. Please don't underestimate my concern for your safety." He stepped toward the window, analyzing the size and shape of it, the distance to the ground, and his current weight. He knew they would hit the ground quite quickly. "Keep a very tight grip on me, Victoria. Remember, I don't need to breathe." He told her, a seriousness colouring his voice.

Alex shrugged. "I live on the third floor. Stairs are inconvenient." Alex chuckled, he positioned himself in a half crouch in front of her, and prepared himself to carry her weight. His reflexes were faster than any normal human, and his strength and resilience would make this a piece of cake. He already knew Illyad's apartment complex well. He had never jumped out of this particular window, but it wasn't much higher than what he was used to.
